The goodwill outlet center / "bins" is quite the experience haha. You can tell a lot of people are…read morethere all the time and are "professionals", but I still enjoyed it as a casual thrifter! There are rows of bins, probably 40-60 in the store, and they are filled with clothes, household items, shoes, games, etc! At first glance most of it is less then appealing, but there are definitely hidden gems in these bins! I walked away with a jacket and top for my partner and pants for me! No dressing rooms. There are a ton of people there typically too, so be prepared to be in close proximity and searching bins together! Some of the bins smelled and overarchingly the experience is a little gross when you think about it too long haha. Being gloves if you want and wash up after, you'll be fine! They switch out the bins maybe every 30mins-1 hour, and this is when you find the best stuff that hasn't been picked over. The staff was friendly enough. I was surprised by the prices. You pay by the pound, which is cool! I still expected it to cost less though haha. It was roughly $4/piece for everything I got. Again nothing crazy and good prices for thrifting, but I still expected it to be "dirt cheap" given these items are at their final destination. Overall it's a place I'll come once or twice a year to mix up my thrifting :)

We went during a cloudy afternoon so it was the perfect activity. I got to observe the new bin rush from the side, and later participate in one as well. I get people are enthusiastic even outside the new bin drops, but some large parties kept hogging side sections when I was trying to go through them in a flow. I kept thinking about other things I wanted to see/do in the Twin Cities though so couldn't lock in to the level I really wanted. Next time I'll need to spend a whole day here and be more liberal with my narrowing down step. Unfortunately not trying on everything at my friend's apartment wasn't a good idea because now I'm back in Texas and some items don't fit right.

The curated vintage selection is great here! The two owners are also wonderful and kind. They let…read moreme look at all the jewelry behind the counter, and I'm very picky about the pieces I add to my collection. I went home with a vintage heart locket that was worth the price and my new staple piece I wear every day! I usually find that vintage stores can really increase pricing just for the allure of vintage items but I found most things to be reasonably priced. They have such a wide variety of items that I could spend hours looking around. It's really a hidden gem. One thing to note is that there is a large collection of racist caricatures/black face dolls and figurines. It's pretty uncomfortable to look at. After another reviewer pointed it out, it reminded me to include that in my review. I don't think they should be included in the selection, regardless of its appeal for "collectors."

I had the day off and we decided to venture out looking for some Christmas gifts. Really cute place. Old and nostalgic and they carry a lot of things. There are about 18 different vendors. If you want Vinyl, this is the place to go. I am not a vinyl person, but our friend is and this trip out here was to him. Found some great albums and took a stroll down memory lane with a lot of the old items on display. The two women working there are lovely and so helpful. There is an entire room full of vinyl. I think it's called the fault and then there are also records through out. Great store and a great find!! Be sure to stop in.

If…read morethere's no dressing room their return policy should be more lax (will only give store credit and must return within two weeks). I wore leggings and a fitted shirt and tried on items over that, staff didn't stop me. Checkout was pleasant, and the cashier even asked me if I qualified for any discounts before ringing me up! Saved me 10%. Will return :)

This was not my first visit but have always found this place to be clean and organized. Of course there is still going to be some chaos on the shelves but you're not going to find socks mixed in with the silverware. This MG location is better than some. I noticed that they recently took out their dressing rooms at multiple stores. So if you plan on trying on clothes prior to purchasing, be prepared with leggings and a tank top and changing in the aisle. You have to be methodical with parking. There is only 1 way in/out of the lot and it is at the end of a parking lane. If you swing around to park in the front row beware that it's a dead end or else you'll be driving INTO the Donation Exit lane. I either like to pull through or back into a parking space for an easy exit.
