I am like okay so then she hands me the paperwork and it sys that I need to get my eyes dialated, I said I do not want to get dialated she said it is a requirement here, I am like steike two noone told me this on the phone either!!! She said I will see if we can get an exception i said nd if not just cancel this appointment, usually dilation is an option not requirement! Needless to say I ended up walking out with no exam and wasted my time! This company needs to tell the right expectations upfront when customers call in!

I had PanOptix placed in my eye Feb 7th, 2020. This lens did not work for me, I did have 20/20 vision, but the rings and halos ruined my night vision and I was in great distress. The surgeon that placed it in my eye would not remove it. I was running out of time as I was almost 5 months post op from PanOptix and this lens needed to get removed quickly if it were going to be successfully removed and replaced with a Crystalens. I began my search for a doctor that would replace the lens and give me back my beautiful night vision. Dr. Mahootchi listened to me, heard my despair and told me I didn't have to live like this and that he would do a lens exchange for me. Because I felt so confident in him through reading of his experience and all his wonderful reviews on many forums I decided to take the trip across the country, even during a pandemic and see him! This proved to be a great decision! He immediately set me at ease, I loved his entire staff as well! Surgery was completely successfulI I now have 20/20 in that eye with beautiful night vision! The business appears to have changed ownership and now is part of New Tampa Eye Institute, but at last contact, they did not even have a sign with their new name -- this review was left with the old name because the internet and searches using their new name failed to find them. 6. Woman who finally answered the phone was borderline rude and blamed me for not clicking on that 5-digit number -- apparently their equipment was not up to communicating by name I think that what they have is very badly out of date office technology

For the most part, we got what we needed. The prices are too bad. I think it's worth a trip compared to the regular malls. This office is great. I had an eye exam and ordered a new pair of glasses today. I have used this office before and have always has the best service. The prices are reasonable and the staff are knowledgeable and courteous. I look forward to getting my new glasses in a few days. I highly recommend them. read more

The doctor was very cold and almost argued with me about wanting contacts with progressive vision. He was adamant that I wouldn't be able to see right but I've been wearing progressive contacts for 15 years. He was very quick to put drops in my eyes without telling me what they were except to say that he could see my eyes better. Had I known and he was dilating my eyes I would've protested. You can't determine if a prescription possibility works if your eyes are dilated. He handed me to context in the dark exam room, said put them on and I'll be back in five minutes. It was extremely awkward, putting them on without proper lighting and a mirror that was at a decent level. He didn't come back for almost 20 minutes when I finally moseyed into the hallway and asked where he was, he was caught up on his computer on another case. He walked in almost upset that I disrupted him. Told me to go home, wearing them and to give them my glasses so that they could send them out with the new prescription. So I left with contacts in my eyes, I couldn't see, I didn't know if the prescription would work properly and I had to give up my glasses which I did willingly. Needless to say, I came home hunting for my readers after realizing I can't see worth a darn with these contacts in. I called the next morning to tell them the prescription was not appropriate for my vision and then I wanted my glasses back. She informed me that she already sent them out with the new prescription. How do you order a new prescription without knowing if it's the right prescription or not? I need to wait several days for my glasses to come back. I wrote/vented on Facebook on a public group. Before picking up my glasses when they came in a lady from the office called me wanting to talk about my post line by line. I told her that was inappropriate to come at me about a public post. After $500 later I picked up my glasses. And I was right they are not the correct prescription for my vision. Now I'm stuck going to a different eye doctor and paying out-of-pocket for my exam since I used my insurance with Springhill eye. I'll also have to come out of pocket for my glasses and contacts. I forgot to mention that when he sent me home with the context in my eyes, he never sent me home with the contact lens case or contact lens solution or anything. I'm not used to that as every eye doctor I've ever been to sets you up for success by providing those things. If I could save someone from going to this facility, I hope this posted that. They are a family run facility and said they've been in business for a very long time, but I don't see how given the customer service I received.

Since then I have been lied to by not one, but two sales reps and then the manager called and defended the reps and refused to listen the customer. Again, they used to be the best in town. No longer. They will call you a liar and humiliate you. AFTER THEY HAVE YOU DRIVE NEARLY AN HOUR since they didn't disclose full information UP FRONT truthfully. I do not recommend this establishment. They will lie to you and inconvenience you without blinking. Including the manager. Clarifying: Dr Jung is a very good physician. Buy your glasses somewhere else.

My insurance company told me about Dr. Nowell. I went to see him today and it was a very nice, clean, serene, good smelling office environment. The young receptionist welcomed me with a smile. Then the eye technician took me back for an initial exam. Then to doctor examined my eyes. He put some drops in and I went back out front to wait. The receptionist then showed me their array of eyeglass frames. Don't be fooled by the size of their office. They have many many types to choose from. They accept(ed) my insurance and I had a fairly hefty amount available. My part of the bill was fair and affordable. I will only go to them anymore. No more crowded offices.

When you walk in, there is a check-in process to put you in the queue for a sales assistant to help you. When I purchased glasses the first time, I waited maybe 10-15 min and browsed the different options throughout the store. The sales associate was helpful in helping me pick out glasses and gave an opinion along the way. No issue processing an out of network claim and they provided all the necessary paperwork. When I returned to pick up the glasses, the optician was helpful and properly adjusted my glasses. A few months later, the frame felt a bit off after a long trip abroad of throwing the glasses in a backpack (inside a case) and went in for an adjustment. I waited maybe 2 min in the same queue process and was helped immediately. The optician fixes the frame, balanced it properly and checked that it sat well on my face. I was happy and in and out of the store in 10-15 min. The store is clean and they've expanded their options and have a bigger sunglasses selection as well. Would definitely come back for new glasses when I need them...
