We tried other offices, but they were fully booked until SEPTEMBER. This office managed to squeeze us in for the following week for a consultation, where they addressed all of our questions and outlined the entire process from operation and recovery. We were able to come back the following for the extraction, so I was very happy with the quick turnaround and their ability to accommodate our schedules. Thank you to Dr. Khayat and his staff!

The amount of effort this place puts into pretending they care about the comfort of their patients…read moreis unbelievable. The nurses are nice. But Dr Sami completely disregards anyone who says they have a phobia of going to the dentist. He flies into the room, barely even saying hi. Tells my anxious husband how this extraction will be pretty much awful and that he should brace himself. My husband decides to get sedated instead. Dr Sani doesn't stay in the room to say "I hear you and I see your concern, of course we will do what is best for you"... he just dips out.... while the nurse is the one who talks to us about it!? When it was time for my husband to get a dental implant, he wanted to be sedated again. This was a simpler procedure, but since my husband has been given no indication that this doctor cares whatsoever about being gentle, he felt it was best to be sedated. But when he spoke up for himself, the doctor said "nah you don't need that" and scratched it off the list of services. We asked a nurse if they offer sedation for dental implants. She says they do and added it back on our list of demands. This doctor does NOT get to tell his patients what they need and don't need. There needs to be a calm and comforting conversation around that. If he hadn't been so aggressive in his behavior towards patients, I am sure my husband could have handled this without sedation. We finally cancelled his appointment because we are tired of handing money over to someone who shouldn't even be in the business. This dude needs serious training in manners and handling phobias, because there are plenty of people who have it. And he is one of those people who is making it WORSE. He is re-traumatizing people. The worst kind of dentist.

After having a very traumatic experience with another dentist in the past, where I got 1 wisdom tooth removed, it took me years to trust another doctor and remove the other 3 wisdoms. After doing extensive research, I finally decided to see Dr. Carroll. The way I found him was on Reddit, everyone recommended him on there and shared their experiences. Not only was the staff amazing & professional, but Dr. Carroll made everything more smooth and pleasant. Recovery was super fast. I didn't have to take any medication even though pain medication was prescribed. Also, I did all this with local anesthesia because I am scared of being put to sleep. One of his assistants stayed with me for the whole procedure and made sure I was feeling ok, I cannot recall his name but he was the sweetest and made sure I was calm, that's a plus! If you are considering extracting a tooth, do not hesitate to use Dr. Carroll. I 100% recommend him as am the type that has 100% anxiety when it comes to these type of procedures. I'm so thankful for him and his office!!!

Let me start with the positive: The assistant -- I believe her name was Yuliya -- was wonderful…read more She helped put me at ease, and the extraction itself went quickly and smoothly. Yuliya, if you're reading this, you'd be an asset to any dental practice. Five stars for your kindness and professionalism. The areas for improvement: * One of the front desk staff members, Alyssa (spelling?), came to review my balance while Dr. Carroll and Yuliya had stepped out. After sharing my payment amount, she looked at my X-rays and commented that I "actually needed two extractions today." I explained that I was only scheduled for one, but she continued to debate it. I found it uncomfortable and concerning that a non-medical staff member would make that kind of statement rather than checking with the doctor. * When I checked out, I tried to pay with my FSA card, which Alyssa said was declined. I asked her to try again since I knew the funds were available, but she refused and told me the card must not be activated. It later turned out the card was fine -- it has worked before other providers -- so I wish that interaction had been handled with more patience and professionalism. I shared this feedback with Dr. Carroll afterward, but the conversation didn't feel especially empathetic. I was hoping for a bit more understanding, especially around ensuring staff communication stays within their roles. In short: The clinical care was good, but the front desk experience left a lot to be desired. I'd recommend going elsewhere if you value strong communication and patient service across the board.

His staff has been very professional and have explained everything in detail. I feel very comfortable recommending DR McMurray to anyone.

Overall no issues or complaints regarding the procedure. What I do find interesting is the speed at which everything happened, that then gave me pause to ask this question. Would we go back if he had to? The answer... maybe. Also, I should say I felt the same way at the orthodontist that referred us. Maybe some people like that, get in and out fast, and get it all over with. I am not like this, I prefer things to go a bit slower. My concerns. Everything felt very, very rushed. The consultation to took less than 10 minutes, maybe 15 at the most. This included x-rays, scheduling the appointment for surgery, medication handed to us that day and prescriptions to be picked up within the next day or so. I think they actually came in with the folder to include the one pill that would be taken the day off the surgery. The doctor McMurray was nice enough and the staff during the consultation were nice as well. Was it a "well oiled machine", so to speak, yes. The day of surgery, I think we were in and out within an hour, minus the time in the waiting room before they took my son to the surgery room. I think the front desk staff are not necessarily morning people. It was really cold in the waiting room and I asked if it would get any warmer and the quick response back was no. No "sorry" it is cold or "sorry" we keep it cold for a reason. Just plain no. The surgery was about 45 minutes, then somebody stepped out into the waiting room and told me everything went well and that he was in recovery. I never saw the doctor that day. I have no idea who came out to tell me the surgery went well, I have no idea if that same person was the one giving post op instructions or if they were even in the surgery room with my son. (Note for kids, maybe they should have offered to save the teeth, it would have been nice.) When I went to see my son, he was in a wheel chair and, of course, very drugged. I thought he would be a bit more conscious when I walked back to see him. At that point, it was hard for me to see him in this state, sitting all awkward in the wheelchair with his head tilted back and tears running down his face. The next few minutes seemed to go even faster. I was given rapid fire instructions on what to do post surgery. So fast that the person giving me the instructions was out of breath. Much of what was said had been provided in the folder given on the day of the consultation. It would have been nice to document to me what was different from the instructions given, since I was pretty concerned for my son at that moment and only heard a few things. Maybe, they should have given me the post op review in the waiting room or in another room, in case there were other people in the room. This way I could focus on what they were saying and maybe try to take some notes myself. Maybe even ask me if I wanted to take some note. I can understand, or recognize, how some people may be offended by somebody suggesting they take notes, but for me it would have been a good thing. They rolled him out in the wheelchair very quickly. He got sick the minute we got him outside and almost fell out of the wheelchair. I rushed to get the car and pull it up to the wheelchair ramp. There was a split second concern about trying to get him into the car, for me and the person pushing the wheelchair. I probably should have brought a family member with me in the car to take care of our son, while I drove home. Luckily, I did have help when we got home. It was not easy getting him into the house, he could still barely walk. He got sick before we got him to the door and got sick another 3 or 4 times within the next 2 hours. We opted to keep him downstairs until he was a bit more stable on his feet. Why is it that the doctors cannot suction more blood before it gets to their stomach. This is not just this dentist, it is others too. I can only hope the anti nausea meds actually worked, hard to tell when he was getting sick every time he stood up. I called the dentist office within maybe one hour or two and they did not call me back. I had two questions, one not a medical question but the other one was a medical question. When I called a week later asking for more pain meds, then they returned my call. The good thing was they did prescribe another medication which worked just fine. It also would have been nice if somebody called us later in the day to ask us how things are going. The post op appointment two weeks later lasted 5 minutes. If you do not understand what my complaint is, it all boils down to how fast it went. It felt like an assembly line. We were just bodies going through the process. Some people may like this but I would have preferred a bit slower pace.

Negatives: DDS tried to gaslight me by suggesting that I'm a difficult patient because I have a sensitive mouth during the e-ray process. The receptionist offered me the "rufi" option, which I initially declined because she stated it was optional (plus an extra $40 out of pocket.) Unfortunately, once DDS started the cleaning he was so heavy handed that I had to stop him and opt in for the Halcion aka "rufi". After only cleaning my bottom teeth, DDS said he was done and offered me a couple cups of apple juice to sober me up. DDS saw me looking really out of it while sitting in my car loading my gps for the 10 minute ride home. He offered me more time to sit in the waiting room to sober up but I declined because I just wanted to get out of there and go home. I was SO sick on my 10 minute ride home due to the "rufi" that I lost control of my bowels and BLEW UP in my car! =( Fortunately, I had a blanket in the backseat I was able to wrap myself in before the explosion, rendering the clean up process manageable. After cleaning myself up, I passd out for over 5 hours because I was completely non-functional. When I came to, I recalled my awful experience and cancelled the appointment for the following day. Can you believe that after ALL that trauma, he only cleaned the bottom half of my teeth!?! My mind is still blown that he wanted to rufi me all over again the next day to do a simple cleaning! To make things worse I tried to see another Dentist 2 1/2 weeks later to finish my cleaning, only to find out this DDS billed for a complete cleaning so my next appointment was not covered!! This was such a terrible experience I just had to share it in its entirety. I understand I may be an outlier but this was one of the worst dental experiences I've had in my 55 years of life. Finally, I have historically had a very high tolerance for pain and have never required sedation or pain killers for a dental cleaning.

In March, I made an appointment for May 28th as a first time client. Shortly after scheduling, I received a text asking if I'd be interested in an opening sooner to which I replied yes. I provided my availability and stated I was flexible and could come most afternoons. I received a reply shortly after asking if I'd like to come the next day for a morning appt. Um no. I had already clearly stated I could do AFTERNOONS. Two weeks later I get a call and then a text asking if I'd like to be added to the "ASAP list". I thought I already was?! I was contacted AGAIN a few days later asking about my availability. How many times do I have to spell out I can come in the afternoons?! By this point, they're too much and I ask that they take me off the list. It's too much communication. May 27th comes along and I realize I've received no communication about my appointment on the 28th. I text them to find out they canceled my appointment. I NEVER told them to cancel my appointment. I simply didn't want to be constantly bothered about their "ASAP list". It's really unacceptable that they canceled an appointment I waited almost 3 months for. I was really hoping to have a good dentist 5 minutes from my house but no such luck. I was not interested in rescheduling as I completely lost trust in this office.
