I have been a client at Optimeyes for MANY years and have referred a number of folks to this great vision store. Brendan, the owner, is a funny, great guy, and yes....a chatterbox! He has a heart of gold and is always generous with his community support! He's also very knowledgeable regarding his industry and teaches related classes at a local college. The best part of this store is that you always get a very thorough and accurate exam from the Optometrist. And, your glasses are always the perfect prescription to enhance your vision. The selection of glasses there is quite adequate; there's a good choice for everyone! I'm writing today because a timeless pair of glasses frames that I purchased over 10 years ago broke. Brendan, after trying to get a replacement piece, actually took an ear piece from an older pair of store stock and repaired my glasses! Do you think a chain store would bother doing that??? Heck no! I was in and out in less than 15minutes with a non-complicated annual eye exam. Super easy to make an appointment, to fill out new patient forms, and to get any concerns addressed. I really liked Dr Sperazza. She was courteous and efficient and knowledgeable. This center doesn't employ any of the "fancy" devices you see at other places, but I felt more than confident that my eyes were healthy after being throughly examined by her. I didn't need glasses this time around, but there seemed to be a decent selection and even a small play area for kids if I ever needed it. Glad to have found a solid local optometrist for my annuals. She helped my mom with an eye appointment, then gave me one on the spot. I did not realize they take out of state insurance. I have been purchasing eyeglasses from this place since they first opened. Excellent eye doctor on site. Excellent assortment of glasses. Excellent turnaround time. Excellent customer service. I have six pairs of glasses or is it seven and sunglasses from Optimeyes. If any of my eyeglasses need new plastic thingies that sit on your nose they are quick to replace and clean and tighten for a few dollars or often free. They have discounted glasses that are just as stylish as their more expensive name brands. So whatever I feel like in any given year I have been most satisfied. They could use a big round deco clock above the doctors door so appointments are easy to keep, but that's my thing. I see an empty wall and want to make it friendlier. So many local businesses are closing. I hope Optimeyes never closes. I am huge on supporting local businesses. I love the personal and friendly relationships. You are not getting that online or at big stores. In my backyard is great. Run in get it done then next errand. Time saved with satisfaction is rare but not at Optimeyes. Getting my eighth pair from them as soon as insurance allows it. I leave glasses everywhere for convenience. So it all works for me like perfection. Love love love this store and the Chinese food next store is real good too! read more

I give too star because the place try to ripper people off. There is a statement in my policy that it will cover frame $120 and rest amount will be 20% off if more than $120. And they said they don't follow that policy and they will absolutely give no further discount. However the optometrist is really skilled and nice, two stars just for her. Horrible experience with this place. First the doctor is not friendly and when I voiced my concerns about having trouble seeing at night she laughed it off. I called to clarify my prescription today and the front desk staff was completely rude and after I said thank you (even though they weren't much help) she slammed the phone down. I would advise to skip this place and go to a better eye doctor. read more

If you are looking for an eye doctor and expecting to buy contacts: DO NOT GO HERE. Before I say anything, how ironic is it that an eye doctor has a sign for their office that is so hard to see... But anyway: The guy in the back refuses to supply patients with enough trial contacts to last until their order comes in (only gives you 4). When you ask for more because your order didn't come in when they said it would, the guy in the back starts screaming for the whole office to hear. (Note: the guy in the back doesn't ever speak with customers and only speaks with the front desk ladies who go to him to get the contacts and such. Also note that his desk is completely out in the open for all to see and hear at the end of this hallway) The main discrepancy here is that originally I received a pack of 4. When my contacts didn't come in they gave me 1... Even though the pack comes in 4. So, how can he really say that he doesn't have more? Even more so, my previous eye doctor had STACKS AND STACKS of trial pairs to give out and told me that the brands give them FOR FREE because they obviously want them to be sold. Overall, just GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you're someone like me, who doesn't have a back up pair of glasses yet and relies solely on contacts, not having enough trial pairs to get you through until they come in means not being able to drive or do absolutely anything. These people are incompetent and rude. The guy in the back needs to be fired and the staff needs to be trained for customer service before I ever do anything at that office again. I'm taking my prescription and leaving. You have been warned.. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. Recently, as my son is a Rutgers student in need of an eye exam quickly, I found Optim Eyes under my vision plan. Brendan was kind enough to squeeze us into their Saturday schedule. My wife and I both had our eyes checked the week before elsewhere but were not impressed by the frame choices at the doctor's stores or in the warehouse chainstores. So, while I was waiting for my son to finish his examination, I could not believe the huge selection that Brendan stocked his store. About 2,000 frames!! I immediately contacted my wife to come back the following week. Brendan took our outside prescriptions with no worries. My wife and I easily picked out frames that we liked. Brendan was honest on how the frames fit our faces and we were happy he helped in the selection. With the vision discounts, we were REALLY pleased with the prices. Brendan and his staff provided excellent service and conversation. We will defiinitely come back to this store for our future purchases. I forgot to mention that we live about an hour north of this store's location but the long drives were worth it. read more

A great doctor but rude staff. The front desk staff accidently charged me $60 even though my insurance covered the full amount. It was an honest mistake but when I asked for a refund they seemed offended. They also tried to get me to buy 2 week contacts but when I requested dailys, the girl at the front once again acted like I just personally attacked her. They also claimed to have given me a week supply to hold me over until my follow up visit but when I opened the box there was only 4 days worth of lenses. I was also told that I would pick up my final 3 month supply during my follow up visit but after the visit I was told they had to order my lenses still and I had to wait another week. So when I politely asked for more trial lenses to hold me over they once again gave me an attitude. The girls at the front are very sensitive and easily offended as well as border line incompetent. They seem to have great difficulty carrying out simple tasks. Although the doctor seems pretty good. read more
