I work for an aerospace manufacturing company and was in need of some prescription safety glasses. I submitted my existing progressive bifocal prescription and placed an order for RX-691 model glasses. It took exactly 10 days from order to shipment. I was so pleased how clear my vision was with the glasses. I was really worried the progressive nature of my prescription would be distorted by the wraparound style of the glasses. Ordering from online retailers when sizes are involved is always risky, weather be a shoe, pants, etc., so I was very nervous ordering glasses where fit and prescription was involved. I do wish they were a tad bit larger for my frame but I am very pleased overall and have submitted my out-of-network claim to my insurance. read more

I sent my own Maui Jim Red Sands sunglasses to Rx-Safety for prescription lenses. They shipped my glasses back via FedEx without a signature requirement. FedEx delivered the package to the wrong address, and it was ultimately declared lost. FedEx later informed me the shipment carried only the default declared value, and the standard $100 claim was paid to the shipper. My original frame was never recovered. Over the next several weeks, I exchanged numerous emails with customer service. Responses were slow and often repetitive. I explained multiple times that I had supplied my own frame because finding glasses that fit properly is difficult, and I was not comfortable having prescription lenses made for a replacement frame I had never been able to try on. I proposed a compromise: refund the lens order and send me a non-prescription frame so I could evaluate the fit before committing to prescription lenses. That proposal was never meaningfully addressed. Rx-Safety ultimately refunded the cost of my lenses, which I appreciate. However, I received no compensation for my lost frame, and the overall customer service experience was extremely frustrating. If the glasses you select do not work for you. They only give 50% credit on lens if you slect a new pair. I didnt like that. But they have my money so I reordered and paid online. Shipped the glasses back. I'm now at close to $600 for safety glasses. Then I ask when my new order will be started, NOT UNTIL THEY RECIEVE THE RETURN! I was furious. Inconsiderate Bull _ _ _ _. Recieved the new order and the lens are smeared with something maybe the antifog coating. They can onlly be reached by chat from website during bussiness hours. The order process was simple. I had no issues. My order would be sent out in 7-10 business days. About 3 or 4 days after placing my order I sent them an email asking if I could track the progress of my order. No, only after they ship. Ok. No big deal. 15 working days of placing my order, still no notifications. I emailed them. "The delay was caused by a scheduled machine upgrade aimed at improving our production efficiency and product quality." No partial refund or anything was offered. The next day I emailed them again asking for a refund. "Since the process is already started we cannot cancel the order, but since the order is delay I coordinate it to my manager to cancel the order." I got my refund within the hour... There's no way they even started making my glasses! When I ordered, NOTHING alerted me to ANY delays. He NEVER mentioned anything about any delays when I emailed them them first time. I purchased prescription safety glasses from Rx-Safety (RMA RT25004365). The company marketed the product as having D3/D4/D5 protection and assured me it would seal properly on my face. In fact the glasses leave a significant gap at the temples because of the rubber seal design, so they cannot provide the advertised protection. The online listing only gave standard frame measurements (lens width, bridge, temple length) and made no mention of how the rubber seal affects fit or what head sizes it accommodates. I asked the company for either a full refund (including lenses and return shipping) or a modification to the rubber seal so that a proper seal could be achieved. They refused both and simply referred me to their return policy. Since the company had already failed in providing proper info on the product, I had no indication that spending even more money with this company will lead to any better result. I ordered a pair of non-prescription windproof sunglasses with the intent of ordering a prescription pair later on if they fit well. After waiting for 3 weeks, they arrived and they were wrong, not the yellow lenses that were ordered but just plain clear lenses. No paperwork came with the glasses and instead of the company name "RX-Safety", the label listed "Schultz Optical" in Tennessee as the ship from. After reading other bad reviews about this company, I won't even try returning them. It's not worth the $40.00 I made the mistake of not reading reviews about this company first. Lesson learned. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! FAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL! I ordered a pair Sunday night $180. I instantly noticed MY mistake. So I emailed customer service, but the emails kept bouncing. Others have also had the same issue with the email. So I called but they were closed. I called first thing Monday morning at 8:00, and they said the order was already sent to the factory. She said she'd send a change order and then email me. An hour later I got an email thanking me for another order. I assumed that meant the order was corrected. It didn't, because Wednesday I received an email saying my glasses were complete and being shipped, but it still reflected my mistake. I called again Wednesday morning a left a message with all the details. They finally called me Thursday night at 5:00. They said nothing they can do. I can have them reworked for $80. There's lots of negative reviews here, I'm going to give MY honest review and mention a few things. Lots of other reviews here that fairly accurately detail problems, however since I did my research before purchasing, I was aware and ready if there were issues, which there were. I ensured I purchased frames that were a good fit for my face and would be easily compatible with my prescription, because I'm a responsible adult. I made my purchase, received my glasses within a couple of weeks. One of the lenses appeared to have been manufactured wrong, either the prescription or something else wasn't correct, so they were unusable for me. I RMA'd them and had to pay the return shipping myself, which I expected because I did my research (I paid $285 for these safety glasses after a 10% coupon, I'm not going to whine about $4-$12 for USPS shipping depending on if you insure it and want speedy delivery. Plus I was expensing the purchase through my employer). After another 3-4 weeks I received the reworked safety glasses and they are now correct. I have zero issues with them and am a satisfied customer. I'm giving them a 3-star review with a star taken off for having to RMA my purchase and pay the return shipping myself (again, I did expense this charge to my employer as well, however if I wasn't I would have been very upset about this) and another star because of the total amount of time the entire process took from placing my order to being satisfied with my glasses. The entire process took 8-9 weeks total, although it took me about a week to get to the post office to return them for RMA, so call it about 8 weeks. I do wish everything had been quicker, but I still had an older pair of glasses I've been wearing for about 6 years. The RMA process was pretty smooth, I confirmed with them my prescription and included a copy in the RMA, they handled it just fine and were easy to communicate with. The moral of the story is, do your research, understand the process, don't lose your temper when everything doesn't work out perfectly. Be an adult. read more

Got my glasses I was looking forward to. I paid over 500 for the glasses and made sure to put the thinnest lens option as I have a high prescription. I received the glasses and the moment I opened it 5 mins after I got it off the delivery person I requested to return it because the lens were thicker than my personal glasses that don't have the thinnest option. Customer care reached out via email and there response was we can replace them for an additional 180 dollars. I will never recommend this company and they should be ashamed on how they deal with customers. I now have a 500 spare glasses paperweight that I will never use for work. Customer service is awful. I made a website order and the website made TWO DUPLICATE orders. I was charged 3 times and I received one refund. I got a call from customer service to confirm one duplicate order, she said it would be cancelled. It was never cancelled, and they sent me an extra pair of glasses that they won't refund, and they won't investigate why there were multiple orders created. I've spoken to 4 different customer service agents, and they rearrange my words to support their story. They make things up as they go and have no other contact for customer resolution besides the one supervisor, currently named Megan Brown. Previously was Joy Perote, and before her Sheryl Bazel - both left the company. Beware of the website order, you must have the frames in hand to know your segment height for the prescription to be properly made. This was my first pair, and I did not catch that mistake. The website allows you to order frames WITHOUT the segment height, if you do that, glasses will be useless, and they won't refund you the prescription lens cost. On a good note, one pair of glasses was remade with the segment height at no cost to me. They are still useless, but that could be my inept segment height measuring skill. Frame selection was good. I was excited to buy some excellent goggles specifically designed for healthcare workers from a different company. I was so happy with the goggles and unfortunately sent them to RX Safety to have prescription lenses installed instead of the company the goggles manufacturer recommended. I sent my goggles to them and excitedly awaited their return. First concern: I never received an acknowledgment that they received the frames. Fortunately, I was able to see by my tracking number that they had. Second concern: I didn't hear anything at all from them for over three weeks despite sending two messages requesting an update on the order five days apart. Neither message was answered. The last straw was when I FINALLY received an email about my order, but it was to tell me that they broke the frame during placement of the lenses. They offered a 20% discount on new frames from them. Really? 20% is all you can offer? They did refund the price of the lenses. This company is the worst to deal with, never purchase from them. I bought glasses, they made them wrong. I had to pay to send them back for remake. They remade one lens, sent them back with the other lens scratched and damaged. After agreeing to send me a label for return, they sent an email and said I had to pay. They would not issue an RMA unless I paid to ship them back. They agreed to refund the total amount I paid them. To me, that means goods and original shipping. They only refunded the glasses. I am now out of pocket over$50 in shipping for glasses I do not have. Their customer service is terrible. The woman on the phone was rude and very hard to understand. I should have read the review. I ordered a set of safety glasses. I sent the prescription and specified reading. I received the glasses with the distance prescriptions. They did not put in the add to the prescription. I called and was told that I had to pay for the return. I opted for refund. I received an email with RMA and note that I would not get refund for lenses, just the frames. If I returned the glasses due to their error I would be charged an additional 50% for the new lenses. After receiving my prescription safety glasses I found the prescription was not correct so I started the return process to have the lenses remade. To be clear, the return/remake is not free. There is an $87 charge for this, so I was not asking for anything free. Because this was in the middle of covid I asked the customer service representative if I needed to return the glasses within the 30 day time window per their standard return policy or if I could wait until I could go back to the optometrist to update the prescription. He said that because I started the process within 30 days I could wait to actually return the glasses. Because of Covid it ended being a few months until I could go back to the optometrist, but once I had the new prescription I sent the glasses back for remake. However, I was informed by a different customer service representative that they would not honor the remake request because too much time had elapsed. read more

Do not order glasses from these people! We ordered my husband his RX safety glasses for work and when they came in they were big enough for a giant, no joke. They were literally falling off his face. We over $500 for these glasses. Their solution to this was for him to just buy a bunch of other frames to try and then return the ones he didn't want and they would give him a discount on new lenses...He then asked how much his refund would be if he just wanted to return them. They were offering around $130 refund for the frames plus we pay the shipping again. We asked since we were payin for the lenses that means we woiuld keep those and return the frames since that's all they're willing to pay for anyways. They responded with that if we didn't return the lenses as well then they wouldn't refund anything....why would we send back lenses if they weren't willing to refund them at all, only the frames.. These folks are horrible ... not only do the safety glasses they sell fall apart in less than a year, but when I ordered parts to try to repair them, They took 16 days (and counting) to even send out the order. I spoke with Ryan Rettino in their customer service department and asked for free shipping given that they haven't even tried to ship my order. He was extremely rude and hung up on me, claiming there is no one else to talk with. I've recommended these folks to others in the past. Now, I can only recommend buying from elsewhere. Was somewhat reluctant to try another online glass shop because these were sports glasses and have a unique curve and a difficult prescription to fill ,the time took about a month but I believe the COVID politics were part of that .
