Aw man, this place sucked. Had high hopes, but they quickly fell through. Simulators had old technology and were giving me completely inaccurate numbers. The machine ended up breaking, and the poor front desk employee had to help me every shot. Party in front of me ran 10 minutes late, and there was a lesson after my time slot, so I had 50 minutes instead of 60. Janky setup, with PVC pipes and 3 cracked golf balls. Putting green was falling apart. Come here if want to hit golf balls, but not track your numbers or have accurate play. Thankfully I was refunded, but not returning. read more

I took golf lessons with Brad Alston this summer and fall and thoroughly enjoyed them. Between lessons on the simulators to hone in my technique and getting out on the course and playing with Brad, I have seen a definite improvement in my game! Coach Brad is incredibly patient (great for me as a beginner when I was ready to throw my club in frustration) and I found his relaxed approach helpful as an adult beginner. I really appreciate his emphasis on having fun with the game! Also, being able to use the golf simulators at the Optimum facility was a huge bonus. I took up golf 3 years ago. I had never played--barely swung a club. I was far from an athlete but desperately wanted to learn the game. I started going to the range, but missed the ball half the time, had no idea how to even hold the club and was in dire need of a coach. Someone at the course recommended I call Brad for lessons. Golf is frustrating for the best of the best-- For a beginner it can feel downright impossible to simply make contact with the ball. Brad was incredible. He was patient, encouraging and made me feel like there was a chance I could actually learn the sport. ....Brad provided the perfect amount of adjustment and feedback--never more than I was ready for. He understood what I could handle and how to build on each skill. After a season of learning to hit the ball, Brad and I started playing lessons. I wanted to learn the ins and outs of the sport--the etiquette--and I wanted to finally learn how to play a round of golf. Again, Brad was patient and encouraging and continued to build on the foundation he had created. He helped me really understand the game. I wanted to know everything and he delivered! Brad taught me about golf (not just how to hit a ball) and did so with humor and kindness-In doing so, he helped me feel like I belonged on the course....Being new to the sport, that was invaluable. Brad and I still play frequently--weekly rounds of 9 or 18. The last round we played together, I made three pars in a row. For me and where I started, that was incredible. My game continues to evolve and improve every lesson--every season. Brad has not only helped me hold my own on the course, but he has turned me into a "GOLFER." Brad with Optimun Golf is truly the best golf instructor out there. I had only the 'basics' when I started, but after a season of group lessons and then individual 'play' lessons, I feel pretty confident. He is patient yet direct...he not only is able to tell you where adjustmentts are necessary, but has video tools that allow you to actually see your stroke and stance in slow motion so that you can visualize what he is saying. And he can show you a side-by-side comparison of two shots so that you can see why one shot worked but the other didn't. I would highly recommend lessons with Brad! Best money I ever spent...and lots of fun! read more

I have been practicing at this shop since it opened. The management is always improving the hitting bays and is always so helpful when dealing with the technical difficulties. Mike the manager is always eager to help. I take lessons from Kyle and he is always flexible with times and my schedule. GREAT PLACE. If you have the itch and actually want to put some work in and practice, this is the place. I got the unlimited package and a lesson a week with Brad Alston PGA. The unlimited use was worth it to me in itself. Went everyday or atleast 5 days a week. Couple hours a day or just stop by to talk with the guys and get away from life. Mike the part owner was always there and extremly easy to talk to. Always throwing out tips and putting new clubs in my hands. They have all the stuff for club fittings and will help you mess around with whatever you want to try. I was there during the summer this place would be priceless in the winter. BYOB. As for the lessons they were great. Just called and got a FREE SESSION and talked about what goals were etc. I was HESITANT about all the lessons up front but the truth is golf isnt just one thing you need to fix and now you have your swing. Theres levels that you dont know are there until you start reaching them. One lesson from anywhere would have been disapointing and its more expensive. Go with lessons and cheap clubs first, dont be the guy that has expensive clubs that cant hit any of them. I always thought I could get that one swing fix from YOUTUBE ,but its absolutly amazing how much junk is on there. BRAD was straight forward easy to reach and lessons could be done indoor or out. Had personal number and could ask any of the dumb questions I could come up with. Towards of the end of my lessons we were just going out and having lessons on the coarse. The BEST PART I can now pull up to a golf coarse and know that I belong. Im not just dressing the part. With the help of Brad and Mike I actually enjoyyy golf and see a future exploring all golf can offer. read more
