But I worked for a rehab therapy agency for 11 years and saw how much good comes when patients are treated by A+ therapists. In May 2021 I fell in the shower and tore my rotator cuff after already struggling with frozen shoulder; I needed pain relief and rehab STAT. I was evaluated and treated by Michael Landin, PT, and depended on him for pain relief for two years. After shoulder rehab ended, my whole body needed a lot of attention, but no matter what we tried I wasn't really improving. When Mike left in April of 2023, I transferred to Jorge, because I had watched him for two years and knew he was the best PT I had ever seen, and, well, only the best for this princess! TBH, I was so loyal to Mike that it took me some time to trust Jorge completely but letting him treat me was definitely the right decision. Jorge works hard to figure out my weird body, and I am extremely grateful for his sharp skills and superior knowledge. He has helped me make so much progress and I can finally feel and see the difference in my body. I could barely even dress myself. I couldn't even get a good nights sleep due to pain. I knew my primary care would only try pain meds or physical therapy before referring me for surgery on the rotator cuff. I was referred by a coworker to ARP Wave. They worked to heal the scar tissue in my muscles and then built the muscles back up stabilize the shoulder. They then gave me exercises to keep this from happening again. From allowing us to do pay-ahead billing to greeting us by name on each and every visit, Forte was fabulous. A few additional items of note. First, unlike most clinics that have a small window overlooking a parking lot, Forte has huge picture windows overlooking a beautiful golf course. Outside the windows you'll see squirrels and birds such as hummingbirds and even brilliantly red cardinals. You might even see a few duffers hacking away and tearing up the turf. Second, parking is easy and plentiful - we never had an issue finding a space right up front. One other thing to mention - their hours. Forte has, at least in my experience, rather late hours. My wife had a couple of appointments where she didn't leave until 5:30PM. The entire staff is amazing. Thank you Sonja for being kind and compassionate to my wife's needs not to mention your patience in dealing with her language barrier issues. On a Thursday evening, I made an appointment for Friday morning through their website. It was really pretty easy! However, I grew concerned I hadn't had any X-rays prior to making my appointment. In any case, I called, they said no problem! Be warned, a canceled appointment less than 24 hours in advance will cost you $75. The day of my appointment, I went in and was surprised to find how hard it was to find a place to park. The parking lot is huge. I went in probably two minutes late. The wait to be seen was about 30 minutes, possibly more. Then there was the wait in the room, not too horribly lengthy. I was shuffled off to x-rays, which was quick and efficient. I figured there would be a wait for the results. My doctor, Dr. Gates, came in and introduced himself, apologized about the wait, and tried to get to know me. He was very pleasant but spoke a little fast. I'm sure it was because he's probably done this a few times. I was given my options, decided on a game plan and was on my way. Overall, everyone was super nice. I will say if you're not familiar with orthopedic doctors, it's not one size fits all. Although I have other issues, I will have to see doctors that that specialize in other joints. Get rid of those subluxations!…read more As part of my "Hitting 40 - it's all about wellness and prevention", I had a consultation with Dr. Q and Dr. Ho (they're both Dr. Ho, but for differentiation's sake, "Dr. Q" is Quoc Ho and Dr. Ho is Khoa Ho). I have a colleague that referred me to this group. I had been wanting to go to a chiropractor for awhile now since my fiance's GI problems are virtually gone since going to a chiropractor recently as well as discussing wellness with a friend who is a chiropractor, but in another town. So glad to find someone with the same philosophy here in town. After my initial consultation, I found out I had two subluxations - at my neck and at the end of my spine (which totally explains my sciatica irritation down my right leg), As part of the initial consult, x-rays are included and then a follow-up appointment is made to discuss the x-ray findings and treatment plan. I am on track now for 3x a week and it will eventually taper off to 2x/wk and then 1x/wk. With insurance covering part of the cost, I am ecstatic about seeing were my progress with this group will put me a year from now. I encourage everyone to get evaluated - every trip, fall, accident can result in a subluxation and it's so important to make sure to get these addressed for your spine and overall health! It's a must do! In addition, these folks have a massage therapist (whom I haven't had the chance to try yet), they hold fitness classes Mondays and Wednesdays evenings, as well as once a month dinner presentations and other wellness and health discussions every month. As luck would have it, I suffered a right knee injury towards the end of my shoulder rehab.
