After some searching we found Eddie and his crew at JFC. They assessed the job, and allowed us to negotiate the price we were both happy with. For us, Eddie finished some framing and backing for the drywall that needed to be done. His drywallers came a few days later and hung 50 sheets of drywall in one 5 hour stretch. We were very impressed. When they returned to do the finishing work, they patched and blended everything nicely. The job was projected to take 6 up to six days and they were able to finish in 4. The finished job looks very clean and professional and we are very happy we found them. Not knowing who you are working with can be a bit nerve racking, but working with JFC drywall was both a pleasurable and professional experience.

David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen. I think part of the problem is that David is under-manned and a bit overwhelmed, but not responding to my messages is unprofessional.

During the pandemic, I watched Pacer paint their house from my home office, and not only did they do a great job on the house, they were speedy! My husband and I had been talking about painting our house a darker color for years- we had a terribly chipping maroon skirting around the house that needed to go and a basic beige color that was also chipping in areas. A fresh change was needed! Paul is very nice, super responsive and helpful to those of us who have never painted our house before (color match, paint questions, etc.). We had some cracked siding pieces, as well as crumbling spots on our Hardie Board cement siding- we picked up matching Hardie Board siding boards at Lowe's and Pacer was able to cut and install pieces to the spots that needed it, as well as replace wood trim boards so the finished product just knocks it out of the park! After 1 day of scrapping and 2 days of painting, I came home to a completely brand new house! We went bold (pictures below) from beige to a dark navy- my phone was blowing up with text messages from all of my neighbors of how much they loved how it looked. In 5 days, the crew was finished, and this was no small job!
