I explicitly mentioned that if this was a problem, I would not be offended if they passed on my request. I received a quote the next day (Sat) saying the COI would not be a problem. On Monday, I received another message asking to schedule the service before the COI. I was told I would have the COI shortly. Two weeks later and no COI, I remind the person who reached out to me via e-mail. I'm told I will have the COI in a day or so. I was also told my request for a COI was pushed back to accommodate work for a large company who shall remain nameless in this review. It's now three weeks since my original quote, and no COI, hence no solar panel cleaning. I'm done. If they didn't want my business - and as I said, no offense taken if that was the case - I would have appreciated not having my time wasted from the start. My panels could have been cleaned by now if I selected another company. Encourage others to go elsewhere. Update after the owner's response: I appreciate Rosalie's comments below, but I'd also like to add my own "if you are reading this" clarification to Rosalie's misrepresentation below where I am being blamed for saying "no rush." I did in fact mention that I was in "no hurry" to get the job done at the start. I own this. This was done as a courtesy, and I assure you I will never make that mistake again thanks to America's Solar. However, Rosalie's husband, John, did not get back to me after two weeks from the initial inquiry. Two weeks. I had to reach out to get an update. Then, John said he "should be able to get me the COI in the next day" (slightly paraphrased from a typo in his original message.) He did not reach out with an update if he had encountered any further delays. After four more days, I realized I wasn't a priority and my panels weren't getting cleaned by them ever. "I'm no rush" doesn't mean "Walk all over me," Rosalie. It's a courtesy to let you (or your husband) set the timeline and meet it! it doesn't get much easier than that, and you somehow fail to grasp that. It was *never* mentioned that insurance was being renewed. Much to the contrary, the reason for the delay was **explicitly** explained as "finishing a big job for Company X", where the highly recognizable company name was spelled out to me. If you are reading this and a business owner, think of whether or not you want John mentioning your company name as a client to others. I wonder how Company X would feel if they found out their name was being thrown around freely. Most large organizations make their vendors sign nondisclosure agreements. I've also had to get COI's for my start-up employer in the past, and we were on the bottom of the totem pole at our insurance agent. I've also had to get multiple at the same time. It's never taken me no longer than 72 business hours. Go ahead, blame the customer again, Rosalie.

The impeccable experience started with Art the consultant, he gave 4 scenarios and explained in detail what each means and provided detail report including all the tech details and break even timing. Then we had Patrick the PM, arrived for site inspection on time and courteous and explained the whole process. Then come the impressive installation team Luis, Alberto and Kevin. The 3 arrived on time and with smiles, just overall a great vibe from them. Luis walked me through the installation plan and gave a few choices taking into consideration aesthetics of the house and then got to work. 4 hours later, clean line, fine craftsmanship and symmetrical matching placement from last system is in place and ready to tangle with PG&E (attaching some photos) I really really can't recommend any higher to go with Clean Solar on your solar projects. Btw I was going to bump this review to a 4 but working with Nick we decided on 5.** We had a complicated full house renovation this year and signed with Clean Solar for either the Tesla tiles or solar panels and we ended up choosing solar panels + Tesla power walls. I want to give special thanks (and the only reason why I didn't give a 0 star) and appreciation to the members listed as they deserved beyond 5 stars Bill, Nick, Jeremy, Rodger, Louis, Kevin, Albert, Alberto, Carl (CEO). Bill was amazing and helpful in explaining the process and helping us secure the initial funding. You are probably wondering why I am giving this solar company a 3 star. Well it takes 1 bad apple to ruin a team and this is the case. A three day project ended up taking 3+ weeks & we understand that the workload is extremely busy this time of year. However when 1 person is acting unprofessional, crossing the line, asking homeowners to borrow a usb cable to charge their cell phone, super loud, tries to impress (why), doesn't listen to clients (would walk away in mid conversation), act as if he is the owner of the company, talks way too much (not in a good way), talking about his side hustle business, a bit juvenile, not completing and complaining about the job in front of clients plus not showing up when he said he would to complete the job, leaving tools at the site and asking the homeowners to put it in their garage until he returns to pick it up, calls in sick last minute leaving the load to other team members plus more well then this becomes a problem and 0 stars (if possible) especially the amount of money you invest into this project. We also requested that this person not show up again but they kept sending him back. At the end of the project half of the Tesla walls were connected and working but the other half wasn't connecting. At one point our bedrooms electricity didn't work, it wasn't the breakers and Nick was awesome enough to take our after hours call and help us manually override those other 2 disconnected wall panels. The dream team (Nick, Kevin and Albert) resolved the connection and all is working now. Also, Nick stayed late to make sure our Tesla walls were configured and updated properly. Plus , a shout out to Jeremy for staying late as well to help fix a broken issue. Feedback: Organize a team that works well together to effectively complete the project. Provide sexual harassment training (this is excluding people listed here). If a female client doesn't feel comfortable with a person don't resend them back. Also if a homeowner (regardless of being the wife) calls and leaves a message please out of courtesy call back after all I am the client, work and pay the bills too (even though this is my husband's project).

We have had an Enphase solar installation for 10 years now, which has always worked beautifully…read more However, due to regular PG&E outages in our area (Fremont, CA), we decided to add a backup battery to the system. After careful research, we chose Highlight Solar (HS) to handle this installation. We chose the Franklin battery, and Highlight Solar came out to handle the installation in Nov 2025. Sadly, we had some serious issues with the functionality of our solar infrastructure, after the Franklin equipment was installed... the Enphase solar monitoring device (called Envoy) started having trouble communicating with the panels, and therefore would disable them. HS made a couple of different attempts to fix this issue (which was delayed when they went on vacation for a month), so I had to keep cycling the breaker for the panels every morning to get the system working for another day. Fortunately, they were persistent in pursuing the issue, and after returning from vacation in late January, Samir came out and spent a couple of hours on the phone with Enphase support, who suggested a possible solution for this issue. HS then had someone come out to implement Enphase's suggestion, and now my system is working solidly and reliably (Feb 2026). I'm glad HS didn't just give up on us; I'm sure they were just as frustrated as we were by this situation. We certainly didn't expect this to take three months to resolve, but it is working now.

Our inspection, and final handoff were handled by Samir, who answered even more questions, and made sure we were fully set up. I decided to go with Squeegee Pros since he did my dad's home in Milpitas 2 years ago and because of his fair pricing. Cesar ran late the day of cleaning because he had to pick up a tool, and he let me know an hour before I expected him. It was no big deal for me since I had other work being done in my home so planned to be home all day. Upon arrival, Cesar confirmed that they would do the gutter cleaning and exterior windows. I asked him to please remove any spider webs around the gutters and windows, which he agreed. He also let me know that another person would be joining him in about an hour. There were 3 total working on my home and it took about 3 hours. They removed the screens and washed them down with the hose. Although they only cleaned the exterior windows, you could tell that they were squeaky clean. I am planning to have them return a second time to do the interior windows after the other work is completed. There was one screen that was falling apart. Cesar took it with him to fix and will bring it back when he returns in a few days. Cesar provided before and after pictures of our gutters. They scooped and bagged all the debris in the gutters, and flushed with water to make sure the downspouts were clear. It actually rained the next day and we saw water flowing consistently out of the street curb drains. Cesar recommended gutter guards for our downspouts to prevent future clogs.
