I had a broken roof gutter that was overflowing in the rainy season. While the other company quoted me replacement of whole gutter around the house, Robert and his team did the repair and replace only the essentials since the gutter was fairly new, finished the work in AM of the day of, his explanation of his work was very clear and you can tell he has years of knowledge and not bsing around. Only drawback was he is booked very far ahead for weeks, but he found time 2 weeks before the original schedule day because he was able to slip the work on my house into a time slot that opened up. My experience was not at all like the yelp reviews that were given to Robert the owner of Aquetrim Gutters. The first meeting with Robert was very pleasing but quickly changed when you hear his complaining about the job over a 5-day work period. The recommendation from Robert was to solder the steel seems and holes in the existing steel gutters and down spouts which other contractors recommended replacing with aluminum gutters to prevent ongoing repairs in the future and it's done with. Robert's estimate was considerably cheaper going that route, but I decided to replace the gutters with all new aluminum gutters for a maintenance free experience and I was glad I did it. The proposal was to complete the job in 3 days, but reality was over a 2 week period of 5 days. The three-man team at the beginning dwindles down to two, not having the appropriate equipment to do the job or to make the seamless gutters on site which had to be borrowed and all gutters were made on site at once and spread all around the house and laid on the ground which guaranties the chance of them getting damaged before they even get placed on the house. Not listening to directions or my concerns was not obviously important to him and that is where we butt heads during this project. The down spouts around the house were connected to underground piping to pull the water away from the house foundation. I asked him to check each down spout that was not replaced to be inspected that they were not clog and if they were clogged to cut and insert a new elbow in the down spout to allow the rainwater to flow out. It took literally 5 attempts to get a positive yes that they were done instead of these vague halfway answers from him. The first rain defiantly said otherwise as water was pouring out of the gutter from the clogged down spout. Another issue was blocking the long driveway to the street preventing access to my mother's car who is handicapped. Dealing with him to fix and place a new elbow on the clogged down spout as promised was more trouble and I should have hired another contractor to do it, it's just not worth it. read more

What I appreciate most is that the owner and his son worked on the project. With bigger companies the workers are hired help and they may not always take pride in their work. Fantastic gutter work! Every morning I wake up with the smile on my face after seeing this beautiful gutter work done in my yard. Robert and his son came out to install the new gutter and downspouts on 5/10/2022. Robert is extremely knowledgeable about anything of gutters, even pointed out the roof valley problem and fixed it for me. He also helped to coordinate with my roof guy to remove old gutter beforehand, so that the roof fascia plywood can be replaced.
