I discovered Optix on the recommendation of our pediatric ophthalmologist several years ago. They have the best selection of kiddo glasses, have quick turnaround and offer unlimited adjustments! The staff is all knowledgable, helpful and patient. I now get my glasses here too as their adult selection is exhaustive! You might be able to find cheaper fees somewhere else but you'll never find better service, especially for kiddos. read more

Great selection of frames with a fantastic staff and service. I've never been rushed, I can pull out as many frames as I want, they make great suggestions, and they'll even give you money to pay for your parking meter! I'm very picky about sunglasses. I was frustrated when a friend sat on mine. I took the sunglasses to Optix. A man who's name I cannot spell but phonetically sounds like High-row helped me. When he gave me my sunglasses back, they looked brand new and felt as taught and solid as the day I bought them. I dislike yelp. I dislike rating human beings. I was in a bind. I had bent my one-of-a-kind eyeglasses (literally, the only pair in Los Angeles) and needed them fixed a.s.a.p. The optometrist that I purchased them from closed at 2:00 p.m. and wouldn't let me in (it was 2:30 p.m.) so I took a chance and walked over to Optix across the street. They couldn't have been nicer. Mitch took my glasses and had them fixed in minutes. Good as new. And, he didn't charge me a thing. (While I was waiting I had a chance to browse their extensive selection of high quality glasses, all of which looked really nice.) These guys are great. I am equally shocked by the bad review. I have gone here three times to get glasses fixed when a screw came out or for some other relatively minor repair and they never charged me. I suspect the poor review resulted from the reviewer alienating the staff. read more
