We are very disappointed with the care we have recently received. On December 18, 2024 my wife had a phone appointment with Dr. Salas. She has COPD and having Flu-like symptoms. Dr. Salas prescribed an antibiotic, plus OTC cough medicine/decongestant. Her phone appointment was at 9:40 AM. A couple of hours later, we checked with the pharmacy, and they had not received the prescription, so my wife called the office and let them know the status and was told they would send note to Dr. Two hours later, still no prescription at the pharmacy co wife called again and got the same information. Two hours later, nearing office closing time, by Daughter called the office, finally getting results, and found out the prescription was at the pharmacy. Fast forward to today. I had an appointment with Dr. Salas at 8:20 AM because I was also having Flu-like symptoms. In addition to a Chest X-ray and Labs, Dr. prescribed antibiotic. I kept checking with my pharmacy to see if prescription had been received, and knowing the Dr.'s office was closed for lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, I called the office just after 1:00 PM, and was told they would send note to Dr. A couple of hours later, prescription still had not been received at the pharmacy, so I called the office and asked to speak to the Dr.'s Nurse. After being on hold for around 5 minutes, the receptionist told me that the office had closed early today, so I couldn't speak to anyone. It's Friday, so that means I'll have to wait until Monday to get my antibiotics. They've either got a problem with communications at that office or a bad case of DILIGAS. read more

My primary doctor used to take walk in service and same day sick appointments. O was so sick and wanted to see my doctor and was told to go to urgent care instead of them telling me to come in. I eventually got better on my own, but then wanted to make my regular annual appointment and was informed he had no openings until August..That was 3 months ago I miss my home town care about you doctor read more

Dr. Salas is awful!!! He also doesn't know his anatomy. I came in with hip pain and he insisted it wasn't my hip, it's my lower back. He told me I had a herniated disc in my lower back that is probably shooting pain into my so called "hip." When I asked him where he got that information from, he returned with an MRI report of my thoracic spine. He said my thoracic spine is in my lower back and that's where the pain is coming from. What the heck??? Learn the different areas of the spine!!!! I waited over an hour to see this bozo?!??! I'm so sad that Dr. Farzin retired. PA Kai and the front office staff refused to see me because I would not put a mask on. There was NO one in the office or waiting room with a mask except the PA. When MAKING the appointment,I told the women on the phone I had tested twice for flu A,B & Covid less than 24 hrs before and a week ago and BOTH times ALL results were negative!!!!! The PA took me UNMASKED back to the exam room to tell me that she could not see me unless I masked EVEN THOUGH I was NON SYMPTOMATIC & tested Negative for flu and Covid!!!!! What is the difference.... Explain to me why she just did not choose to see me as a patient????? I was there in the exam room already!!! She was masked and it is her choice. If she was intelligent enough, her mask would and should protect her CORRECT?????? Some people!!!! The ignorance and power play! I am an RN who works at a government facility. I am grateful that we respect patients rights and do not turn people away for their freedom of choice. What a waste of time! People can be so ignorant and unkind. The staff and PA should re-evaluate the profession they have chosen. Health care is to help those seeing help for medical reasons. He is the worst Dr in the Inland Empire!!! He's very RUDE, and shows no compassion. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and ask him what type of diet should I follow, he told me to go to the ER. I went as he suggested, had to pay a $150.00 copay to be told I didn't need to be seen there and my issue can be managed by medication and to see a dietitian. When I called the office back within 7 days, he refused to give me a referral without coming in and paying another co-pay. He purposely doesn't give you what you need during the visit so you can come back and pay him again (Lunch money). Bottom line he shouldn't be practicing medicine with his argumentative personality, he needs to retire. I don't even know where to begin . I came in because I was positive for blood clot in hospital they checked my heart but no brain scan . Clots in the brain is hereditary in my family plus I've had severe brain trauma . I also have a tumor behind my left eye . I came to See this doctor so he would order me a brain scan he laughed in my face told me I looked healthy ! On top of that I had a flu from my hospital visit he ran no test only gave me a z pack no tama flu . Here now I sit again in ER with no Answers sick with pneumonia and having chest pain . Dr Salas has been my mom's dc for a very long time. He's always taken care of her and are very grateful for that. HOWEVER yesterday I called to change the pharmacy and request a couple of refills for her and the woman who answered the phone was BEYOND rude!!! My brother passed away in the morning and as I was telling this to this person all she did was trying to shut me up. Not once did she offer her condolences!!! And she kept talking over me!! I have been coming here for years. He is the only doctor that uses liquid nitrogen. Other doctors make me see the dermatologist - which means a very long wait for an appointment and another copay. Too much effort. He is nice about doing it as well. Office staff has improved lately. I think they have a new office manager. read more

Several years ago, I went to Dr. Salas to have my clogged ear cleaned. He had the nurse (I think she was), pour some liquid in my ear and then they both left the room for over 10 minutes. The liquid drained out and caused a severe burn on my neck that left a noticeable scar. Needless to say, Dr. Salas ceased being my doctor after that. The insurance company settled with me,, but nothing will ever get rid of the scar. It's now faded to white, but is still quite apparent. Avoid this office like the plague! read more

We were assigned this Doctor by our new insurance. My son just turned 18 so it was his first experience going to the Doc on his own. He said it was not very welcoming. They also charged him for his physical which should have been free. Not to mention the 75 cent service fee they charged him for paying with his debit card! I have now spoken to the office manager twice and both times was shocked at how unbelievably rude she is. She would not reimburse his money so we now have to wait until the office is payed by the insurance to get his money back. Which I'm sure I will have to talk to her about. Legitimately the worst doctors office I've ever had the pleasure to attend. The nurses have absolutely no idea what they're doing. On top of that, I'm there for an hour and a half for a referral. The doctor comes in explaining why he can't give me one and then proceeds to cut me off every time I speak! Then continues to tell me how I'm blaming them and telling them it's their fault. Or how they don't have info, yet when I speak with the nurses, they have all the info they need! Complete waste of space. Never see this doctor. There was a man complaining about getting a referral for a surgery he already had, he was there for a referral for follow ups! They don't listen whatsoever. Go anywhere else. If there was a -star choice, that's what I would rate Dr. Farzin's office. I am a veteran and about to retire from the reserves and I don't appreciate the treatment I received from Dr. Farzin's staff. The negative reviews about his staff are 100% accurate. I have never been talked to the way the lady talked to me over the phone when I called them for a charge I got from an urgent care visit that Tricare did not cover. The condescending way the lady spoke to me was unprofessional and uncalled for. I did not know I was supposed to get referred to urgent care from my primary provider for Tricare to cover the charges. It may be something new because I have gone to urgent care before without having to be referred without problems. But this time Urgent care told me the day of my visit to call my provider to let them know, which I did. I was told by DR. Farzin's office that they don't do referrals to urgent care and not to worry because Tricare covers urgent care. Apparently that was not the case but to make long story short I got charges that if anything I don't mind paying out of pocket but the horrible experience with the response I got from Dr. Farzin's office was enough to take my health business elsewhere. I have been seeing Dr. Farzin for years and have always had the best experiences with him and his staff. Rarely have to wait, and I am treated like a VIP every time I come here. One time I had an abscess the size of a softball on my inner-thigh, and after trying to lance and drain it, he quickly realized that it was seriously affecting my Blood-Sugar levels and immediately sent me across the way to the ER at Inland Regional. The Office Manager even put me in a wheelchair and pushed me there herself. Once there, the Doctors informed me that I was a walking (barely) time bomb for Diabetic Coma. Dr. Farzin's quick diagnosis and realization that I needed a higher level of care may have saved my life. I ended up being hospitalized for almost two-weeks it was that serious. That was not my first time I have used this Doctor, but the care and hospitality I received was great and I have been coming back ever since. The last time I was there, I came a tad early and witnessed a patient getting nasty with the staff. I would usually butt-in and stick up for these fine Ladies, but it wasn't necessary. They held their own in a most gracious and professional way even as this uncouth potty-mouth was threatening and cursing them out. They refused to budge about their policy towards distribution of prescription pain medications. I guess they weren't going to rubber-stamp some junkies demand for a fix is what it seemed like. Good for them, there are enough scumbags out there high on something endangering all of our lives on the road and elsewhere. I suppose this isn't the place for you if you are just another POS prescription drug addict trying to score. Kudos to the staff for maintaining their cool while this lady screeched and slammed her hands on the counter like a giant baby on meth. I have gotten several Commercial DMV medical certificates at this office, and has always been a whole lot less hassle and much more accommodating than most clinics I have been to. They understand the importance of a Trucker needing these certifications, and are good at getting them passed without compromising the standards that the DMV has set forth. My Son has had his Athletic/Sports clearance done here twice, and both times we were in and out within a half-hour. Very accommodating and pleasant experiences for my teenage football player. He had some fun banter back and forth with the office staff. My Wife has been seen here as well, both times to confirm what the pregnancy test had already told us. Two of my three kids have been confirmed here, and the staff seemed to be just as excited for us as we were for ourselves. I still come here twice a year for check-ups as my health and and diabetes situation has steadily improved. In part due to the recommendations and advice that Dr. Farzin has given me over the last 10 years. I will continue to be his patient for years to come. read more

My wife and I have been a patient of Dr. Farzin for 17 years. He is a competent family doctor and has ALWAYS been available and accommodating. Sarah, his office manager has gone beyond the "call of duty" for us numerous times. We never have waited more than 15 minutes for an appointment and all services are exemplary. HORRIBLE. My wife has been seen here twice.. and even though I am active duty and my wife is covered under Tricare, and Tricare still lists him as a provider he REFUSED HER. She already had been seen by him and still he refused seeing her with out an insurance card. If you are military you know we don't get insurance cards anymore we use our military ID cards. Even when I called Tricare from his office and they told the receptionist on the phone that he was her PCM and was covered they refused to see her. The doctor words " I might not get paid so no" if you are military PLEASE STAY AWAY!! Im in the process of having him removed from Tricare. First off let me just say made this account because I feel so frustrated with his office manager . I'm not sure of her name she's the oldest one there and I think it's Sarah . Anyways the doctor himself is nice and helpful, but he's not the one who you only have to deal with . His office manager is horrible ! She makes everything seem like a big deal and a drag to do . Worst doctor ever! Very unprofessional and rude! My family member was his patient but instead of just talking to his patient directly, he was more concerned of me listening to him. He stopped me from what I'm doing and told me to listen to him. Then his patient told him that he has more things to discuss about his condition, Dr Salas told him that he needs to slow down because he can't handle all at once then he ended the conversation and didn't even bother to ask what other condition his patient wants to discuss. He even told me that we should always keep records of the patient's meds and bring it to his appt. When I asked him to just pull his meds from the patient medical chart, he refused even though I told him that there was no changes in his meds. He's also desperate to get appointments for his patient. I called once to set an appointment and the receptionist was begging me to set the appointment that day because he doesn't have any patient on that day but I told her I can't do it that day. I guess that tells you that doctor is really bad so he keeps losing patients. And lastly, since my relative became his patient, his condition got worst for not giving him the right medication. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. They shove in a room and forget about you for 30 minutes before your seen by Dr salas. He seems cold and made me feel like he doesn't care about you as a patient. Just seems to want to push pills at you and collect your co pay and send you on your way. I was in an auto accident which required I pay a $130 co pay and when I made a payment that was cashed, they sent me a new statement for $130. Dr Farzin is the worst MD I have ever had to deal with and his staff is extremely negative and just plain unhappy. The older woman at the front desk was very short with me and was not willing to help. I asked her why she was treating me the way she was and she just stared at me without saying a word. I asked what I had done and she turned her chair toward her computer and started looking at her Facebook page. I am not a patient of of Dr Farzin, but my husband is. My husband developed cellulitis which is a very dangerous skin/blood infection that if untreated will travel to the heart and kill you. My husband was in the hospital and when he got out was put on an IV treatment at home with heavy antibiotics. After one week, the infection was not gone and he was out of antibiotics. He went to see Dr Farzin and was told that he needs another week of antibiotics. Dr. Farzin sent an order to our HMO to get authorization for the meds but the HMO was not authorizing it. I went to Dr Farzin and told him that the HMO had told me to have the Dr call them and tell them that the meds were medically necessary and they were need quickly and they would and get them to us he next day. Dr Farzin refused to make the call. I said If I call the HMO with my cell phone will you talked to them and he said NO. He said he processed the paperwork and that was all he was responsible for doing. I was appalled at his next statement...He literally said, if something happens to your husband, it is not my responsibility because I sent the paperwork in that that is all I have to do! I then said, again, the HMO just told us if you call them it will get done and he then cannot and maybe my husband should go to the emergency room! If I can give this "doctor" and office staff 0 stars I would. Being very experienced with doctors I have to say he is by far the worst we have ever been to. He is very uncaring and just seems to be an unusually unhappy and mean old man. Sadly my fiancé's insurance would only let him go to this "doctor" who spent less than 2 minutes on him during a physical exam that I sat in on, (being his first adult physical my fiancé asked me to be there because he didn't know what questions to ask or what to expect). After he said he was done I asked, "Was that all?" he looked at me angrily then turned to my fiancé and shouted, "What do you want me to do?! Do you want me to bend you over and give you a prostate exam?!" Then after asking him what type of blood tests my fiancé was getting he proceeded to just stare at me and say very loudly, "What are you?! Are you in the medical field?!" He then proceeded to bend down towards me, raise his hand, and list on his fingers what tests would be done while his voice was steadily loud, sarcastic, and almost incoherent from his thick accent.
