The main reason I stayed was simply because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding a new primary care office. That changed when Dr. Feeney joined the practice. He is wonderful! His bedside manner is excellent, he's attentive, he actually listens, and I never feel rushed or dismissed during my appointments. I have nothing but positive things to say about him and the care he provides. Unfortunately, the office itself is a completely different story. It wasn't great to begin with, but lately it has become incredibly frustrating just trying to make an appointment. No one seems to answer the phone anymore. You have to leave a message and wait for someone to call you back just to schedule. If you happen to miss their return call, you have to call again, leave ANOTHER message explaining that someone called you back and you missed it, and then wait for another return call. It turns into an unnecessary game of phone tag just to schedule an appointment. For a medical office, being able to reach someone and schedule care should not be this difficult. After being a patient for more than 10 years, it's disappointing to see the office become even harder to communicate with. Dr. Feeney is honestly the bright spot here and the main reason I continue coming, but the communication and scheduling process desperately needs improvement! I'd hate to leave Dr. Feeney but it may be time to find a new doctors office.

We are very much in agreement with that form of medicine (Blue Zones), which looks for cause, rather than throwing a pharmaceutical at the symptom, and looks for natural ways and supplementation to heal the body! We are quite happy so far. We've had no problem reaching the appointment desk and scheduling appointments. The Athena Health website has been great for asking and receiving timely answers to questions I've had. The onsite lab has also been extremely helpful. Only one thing that others have mentioned in their reviews is that online questionnaires were not logged and once at the appointment, we were asked to redo it, which was bothersome. Overall, the care we've received has been wonderful! Dr Lily is awesome and we hope to continue here for many years to come!

I previously remember appreciating the personability of Dr. Nguyen. They're often better late than never with their wait times, but I was reminded how disposable I felt as a patient especially after waiting 40 minutes and having my biggest concerns barely answered over Dr. Nguyen's shoulder as he rushed to bang out the next patient. I've suffered severe and documented panic attacks, along with epilepsy, for many years long before I met Dr. Nguyen. I have never asked him for a separate prescription beyond the ones he merely approved, although I gratefully relied on a prescription when I lived in the Bay Area from an esteemed, Stanford University doctor and lecturer who took care of me. Today, as Dr. Nguyen rushed to get my visit out, I succinctly and passionately described my struggle with panic attack issues working in Los Angeles, sometimes unable to even breathe, and even having to lose money because such attacks can and will trigger an entire spectrum of seizure disorders I suffer. His only answer? He's going to refer me to a psychiatrist. He barely turned his head. This man is "nice" but he does not care about you. He wants to toss you as somebody else's problem and I bet that somebody is within their network and fulfilling their racket. Nobody on IEHP cares about you. This is precisely why people have to save up and pay cash to doctors who care because Dr. Nguyen does not. You're in the way when it comes to the end of his day.

They do not respond to messages by mychart, messages with the secretary nor does the office manager call you back. Do not do a woman's wellness visit here, they don't know what they're doing, go to your OB/GYN. That visit went very sideways and was uncomfortable to say the least, (after 2 Hours.) Not only was the visit super awkward they actually billed me for a free annual visit, they stated it was because they discussed diagnosis codes , which the only thing we discussed was my order for a mammogram and Dexa, all of which are wellness related. However they won't call me back & billing will not answer calls or fix my copay. Due to the above, I do not recommend this group. Back to my search for a good family doctor.
