I've been seeing Sarah for Botox and Filler for about 3 years at the recommendation of my skin care specialist. I actually went to Sarah originally to help dissolve undereye filler from another company. Once dissolved, I immediately felt better about my appearance as she did a wonderful job. Five stars for the medical staff: Sarah, Sophie, and the doctor. Five stars for Alexandria, the office person. No stars for the business guy. Since you you probably will not have any interactions with the business guy, don't let the the 'No stars" for Anthony deter you from becoming a loyal patient/client/customer of the very capable, professional, caring and fun medical staff. Going to see Sarah and Sophie for a little "help" are experiences you will not regret. Your bathroom mirror will agree. :) I wrestled with this review for over twelve hours after a horrible experience with the business guy (Anthony) yesterday. I wanted the world to know that I witnessed him being very disrespectful to his team. To me, how you treat your team is very telling. I wanted the world to know. Then, something happened that made me realize that his behavior was greatly outweighed by the experiences I had with the medical staff. The medical team, each of one them, reached out to me. In my conversations and texts with each of them I realized that the medical team is nothing less than professional in how they approach their work. More importantly, they are like a family. I run a small business and this is the type of team you dream of having- cohesive, responsive, dedicated and able. Moreover, the fact that they each have an extensive background in a hospital setting is well, comforting. These people are working on my eyes, my face- the stuff that everyone, especially me, sees. Their extensive medical training is comforting. I followed Sarah, a degreed Physician's Assistant, to Opulence from Spa Derma in Lincoln Park, which is much closer to my house. I initially located Sarah by chance. I had previously had some work done in the suburbs, I hated the chipmunk appearance I was given. That was my first experience in this type of work and while I was interested in trying to help myself look younger, I did not like feeling of storing nuts in my cheeks. The experiences (and results) I have had with Sarah in the year+ that I have been her patient have been nothing less than spectacular. Seriously, I am going to be 61 years old next week, and while I have good genes, my daughter and others tell me I look like I am 46. (don't ask, I have no idea why the exact number). More importantly, is how I feel about myself, especially in that crucial moment when I am brushing my teeth and I am up close and personal with the bathroom mirror. I saw Sophie this week for microneedling. Honestly, to me this experience was like have an electric toothbrush run across your face, over and over again. Instead of soft bristles, it felt like jagged teeth of a hacksaw running across my face. Still, Sophie was professional and funny. It made the experience less miserable which is important since you need at least three of these procedures for lasting results. Sophie comforted me immediately the day after the procedure when I texted her that I was concerned that the reason my wrinkles had disappeared was because my face was swollen. Three days later I am still in hiding but since Sarah recommended this procedure, and Sophie implemented it, I am certain I will be glowing soon. I should mention for those of you who are concerned about the actual procedures. On a pain threshold of 1-10 I am about a two( 2), meaning just about anything with a needle hurts. Still, I am recommending these professionals because I am going back to them. Yeah, I worry a bit about being vain during a pandemic but I think if you want to treat others well, you need to treat yourself well first. Stay safe and be well. One suggestion- the garish art work is disconcerting. The HUGE red lips looking down on me while I am getting my lips injected is a bit disturbing. Something more subtle and comforting ? read more
