From reading other reviews, it is clear this is not uncommon, and my husband told me he had the same experience when he wanted to buy me a gift certificate. I only went there on the recommendation of a friend, but I guess my friend has never had body work done at a professional massage business. There were no questions about past injuries, parts of the body they need to be careful with, what type of massage I would like, whether I wanted a man or a woman, etc., and I don't think the people working there are truly licensed massage therapists, but instead maybe received their training in China. The woman up front when I came in couldn't even understand that I had an hour long appointment at a certain time and had to call on a cell phone so I could speak to a woman who spoke English. After disrobing, the only thing to cover my backside was a small bathtowel. I tried to cover myself with it but a woman came in and pulled it off of me, leaving me totally naked before she put a sheet over me. Why was the sheet not already on the table for me to cover myself with? She then halfheartedly worked on my back, putting pressure on it for about 4 minutes and then left the room. After a few minutes wait, a man then entered the room. Apparently he was going to be giving me my massage instead. The only communication from either of them was "hard, medium, soft?" He was not very gentle and while moving my limbs, especially my legs and feet, he would just lift them and drop them on the table. He used hot stones at one point which felt nice, but when he left to get them, he just walked out and I laid there waiting a couple of minutes not knowing why he left or if he was even coming back. He left a total of four times during the massage without me knowing why. Surely they could learn a few English phrases such as "Hot stones...I will be right back." I felt violated by the time it was over as he dropped the sheet on my back to the point that the top of my bottom was exposed and then massaged my glutes all the way to my butt crack. While on my backside, he tucked the sheet in between my legs right up to my privates which felt inappropriate, and then proceeded to lift both legs in a circle and then drop them from a foot above the table. He lifted them so high, I felt exposed. He wiped all the oil off of me very roughly with a damp towel that started very warm but was ice cold by the time he finished. I could go on and on, but this was the worst massage experience of my life and I have had a lot of body work done over the years. When I went to pay they wouldn't allow me to include my tip from the gift card balance but insisted that I pay for that separately. The woman tried to show me that she would give me a credit remaining on the gift card but I didn't want that. I wanted to pay and be done and never go back.

Specifically, I had once booked a service with them and they had to chnage the date 3 times on me because of various reasons (I understood and went along with them). The next appointment that I had unfortunately my infant was extremely sick so i attempted to cancel that morning - I wasn't expecting anything beyond the cancelation and was even willing to pay for late cancelation, so that wasnt the issue - it was the rudeness of the person who took the call and didnt even bother to be courteous and instead began to lecture me on how i need to respect staff (shocking after 3 reschedules by THEM 10 mins before my appointment). So again, nothing against their girls, and their products, and perhaps my experience was isolated but I am not interested in going back to them even though i have an active membership. I did find a better place since and am happier with the results.

Due to an injury, I find it necessary to have my finger and toe nails professionally cared for, and…read moreno, I don't get them painted. I was in a bit of a time crunch and was unable to get service at my regular location. Considering that Cactus Nails was close by and that they had immediate availability, I decided to take a chance and give them a try. I was promptly and happily greeted upon my arrival and directed to the station I would first encounter for my pedicure. An older lady came from the back, and it appeared that I had interrupted her meal, which I apologized for. Not sure if she understood that, though. They had blue, plastic tub liners that I thought was weird, but maybe they don't like cleaning and sanitizing after each client. The attendant even changed the liner in the middle of the process...even weirder. For the pedicure, I experienced inconsistency from one foot/leg to the other. The process seemed very rushed, too. I found it startling and disruptive, as were times that the clippers/cutters yanked on skin around the nail bed. The finish resulted in an un-uniform appearance and the nails were cut all of the way down to where they attach to the underlying skin. The massage was ok, but even a mediocre massage is better than nothing. Moving over to the finger/hand station, that process was very rushed too. The buffing and finishing file left a lack of uniformity, again. Upon checking out, I was hit with a $47 tab. While getting my money out, I noticed dirt under one nail. The young lady, who was busy with another customer, took notice and touched up the dirty thumbnail, as well as properly shaping it. I sure wish I had her for the entire treatment. I'm not going to add photos, because this isn't a foot fetish website, but take my word for it...they're short and inconsistent and there were still areas missed by the pumice/skin softening stone. I wish them well, but I would not want the same attendant should I go back. As much as I wish I could've communicated with her, the language barrier was too much. Instead of small talk, she kept speaking low enough that you would think she was talking to herself. To me, that's unsettling.

Saw the ad, checked the Google reviews. No business mention on Yelp. I arrived at the office…read more for my appointment on time and remained there as a gentlemen patient was making multiple appointments all the while, the small waiting room was filling up with 4-5 patients. I was acknowledged and a couple of patients were taken back after Mr. Appointment Book was finished, two patients remained and I was taken back to a treatment room to wait - for another 30 minutes. By this time, I get it; you're busy - I'd walked past the multiple patient boards which also provided a clue in case I didn't already feel like I was in a clinic not an acupuncture setting. Kari arrived and after a very brief conversation says she thinks it would help if I came twice a week to the tune of $2200. UP FRONT. When asked about insurance, she demurs, saying oh you talk to them since you know them best. Uhhhh baloney. If you're In-Network, its your distinct responsibility to 'talk to them' and submit the bills. If you're out of network, it's mine. I did receive a treatment but in a different room than the first - this with partial height walls!! I got to hear my neighbor tell the same story twice about fracturing his ribs - all while I'm mid treatment which is supposed to be healing and quiet. And unlike any other practitioner I've been to, Kari doesn't take a pulse. This did not feel like caring, attentive acupuncture; lots of regulars (Mr Appt Book and Fractured Rib among them) and upsells to ozone or electronic acupuncture. Felt like a cash grab and was more like an ER, triage here, put them there, treatment here...next!! Hard pass.

I reached out to Kari, and she got me in right away. I am going, to be honest: after the first treatment, I was nearly back - I couldn't believe it.
