After our initial meeting to discuss issues and expectations, Larry met with each of us separately so that we could discuss our individual "baggage" and our perceptions of the relationship as it stood then in a safe and non-threatening environment. We then began to work cooperatively with Larry to dig into root causes (without staying stuck in the past), and we found his insights and suggestions for "homework" to be productive. Both of us felt at different times that Larry was pushing one or the other of us a bit out of our comfort zone, but that seemed appropriate in retrospect and was probably necessary to get us out of the past and into the shoes of the other. All in all, we can say that Larry was kind, patient, positive, and a great listener. We felt that he quickly built rapport and could easily integrate issues and conversations from weeks or months past into the current session. I have suggested working with Larry Venditto to other couples and can do so now without hesitation.

At the time I thought it could be because I was an uneducated younger female, whereas the two of them were both highly educated males of about the same age. Larry suggested twice that I get a job, even though I had told him that I already had three part-time jobs and was interviewing constantly for full-time work. He also told me that I should allow my husband's spending hundreds of dollars a month on his drug of choice because I spent money on shared household food (within our budget). Larry allowed my husband to shout at me aggressively during every session and did not try to calm him down or stand up for me. In our last session, as soon as the session began, Larry broke my trust and patient confidentiality by forcing me to tell my husband the contents of a private e-mail I had sent to Larry earlier in the week. My message was about my husband's escalating abusive and chaotic behavior, and a plea for Larry's help. My husband yelled at me through most of the remaining session. Larry told me during the same session that I was incompetent (he actually used that word!), needed to act like a grown-up, and that I would always be dependent on men unless I dealt with a learning disability. I felt devastated. It was a totally emotionally unsafe environment that made my marriage even worse than before and tanked my self-esteem. I did not return. I have been contacted by Larry via a lawyer in reference to the issues mentioned in my review. Following this contact I decided to edit my review. I stand by the factual information I posted here.

My partner asked about treatment for a condition that she had already been treated for by other OB/GYNs in the past and was flaring up again. "Dr." Wilber did not take it seriously, mispronounced the name of the condition, and did not seem to be up to date on recent medical literature or well-versed in the condition. Tell me why we've gotten better treatment from free women's health clinics and Planned Parenthood, make it make sense.

We were diagosed with breast cancer and am now a 3 year survivor thanks to the angels at Swedish Cancer Institute. Dr. Kristine Rinn was and is our top oncologist, Dr. Morris our Radiation oncologist helped us through the cancer diagnosis. The fine people in the radiation ward, always had cheerful greeting to us, and the nurses in the chemotherapy ward was kind and gentle too. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rinn she was fantastic. We felt taken care of and I knew we were in good hands, it is tough enough with everything cancer brings, but thank goodness we found what we needed at Swedish!

I never feel pressured or judged; she's an attentive listener and endlessly compassionate, and always helps bring me around to a steadier perspective. She's had me try several exercises and methods that are a good fit for my creative nature, and she's been able to knowledgeably explain other therapy approaches that I've had questions about. Best of all (in my opinion), she has a great sense of humor--we always end up laughing at some point in each session. I feel very lucky to have landed her as my therapist!

I highly suggest you find another business/practice that actually champions what you practice - creating a safe space. I find it VERY troubling that this 'management' team would place profits over mental health. I know this is the general American way, but I didn't expect to find it here and I love my therapist, so a 1 star kills me. I do remember the sign up process being grueling to even get through to see anyone. If you have a person you love to work with here urge them to move to a better, safer, more resilient space. If you haven't found someone here yet, they will be moving on.. so choose wisely.

I've been to a PT before where I felt rushed through the appointment, only seen by the PT for a short while (the rest of the session was with an assistant).
