I've been to good weddings and bad weddings. All bad weddings tend to have one thing in common: no wedding planner. Our wedding was incredible and it's in no small part thanks to MJ. Two weeks after hiring her we already had most of the main vendors and the venue squared away. However, she was also invaluable when it came to the small details, and that's where weddings can start to get messy. She was always professional and on top of everything, particularly when it was getting down to crunch time and some vendors were being difficult. She's the strict Korean mom you need to whip your wedding into shape. She had her set of preferred vendors she usually worked with if you needed guidance, but played well with any others that you sourced on your own. For what it's worth, some of her recommended vendors were great (like the DJ) and some weren't. It's probably in your best interest to do your homework and shop around. On the day of everything went smoothly, and I can't think of any time where something went wrong. She even sewed a button back on my tux a few minutes before the ceremony. Her team is a well-oiled machine, and they make it so that wedding will go well come hell or high water. We had so much fun, and it seemed like even MJ had a good time. She said it was the only time she had ever danced during a wedding. That sets a pretty high bar, so remember that if she isn't dancing, then your wedding was just not up to par in comparison :P If any of my friends get married I will definitely recommend her and I absolutely recommend her to all of you. However, it was truly a blessing in disguise because we were able to work with MJ, who made the rest of the entire wedding planning process and our wedding day stress-free! MJ is the best in the business! We interviewed and got quotes from several different wedding planners, but when we met with MJ we knew immediately that she stood out. I'm a very type A, detail-oriented person, but MJ is on another level. She's able to seamlessly keep track of all the different vendors and timelines. Our venue was completely DIY so we had to hire all of our vendors, and we had lots of custom requests like a boba bar, late night pizza, and a traditional Korean paebaek ceremony. MJ was able to make all of this happen! Always listen to and trust MJ! She gave us advice on what we should prioritize and what wasn't worth spending our budget on. MJ and her Team made our wedding day go off without any issues so that we could focus on having fun with our friends and family. I originally chose MJ because she was quick with her responses and decision making and really educational for us since we did not have experience in it. She helped us make the right decisions and understand appropriate trade-offs and balance what is realistic with our dream scenario. The day itself had no issues which I was shocked given all the coordination needed. Long overdue review - We decided to go with Blush Events and the Peony package and with MJ. She was efficient and knowledgeable. We had 6 months to plan a wedding and she had listed venues that we could get in such short time period. She has connections and recommend different vendors from photography, cinematography, programs, lighting, MC/DJ, signs, paebaek and we were able to get discounts with these vendors through MJ. She will be very realistic and tell you if there are vendors that previous clients have had negative experiences - but also flexible if there are certain things you want to have in your program. On the day of she had additional staff that would stay with the bridal party. She is on top of making sure program is on time on the day of as well. My husband and I were extremely happy with the service and highly recommend to anyone seeking to do less planning and more enjoying on your wedding day. read more

Beyond million things she did for us in preparation to the wedding day, she made decisions that we could not (as an indecisive couple). From the day that I decided to book them which was seven months prior to my wedding, MJ was been so professional and helpful through it all. She gave me expert recommendations to vendors, ideas, decorations, and I really couldn't have done it without her. She even met with us multiple times prior to the wedding day to walk us through the timelines, discuss my options and preferences, and everything I could think of. She even saved me on some expenses by referring me to other vendors and I'm so thankful for it all. We cannot possibly imagine having our wedding without MJ! We had the Peony package (partial planning), and over the course of the year prior to the wedding, MJ worked closely with us to ensure that we stayed on track with our planning. She was always available for questions and her expertise was instrumental. During the planning phase, she shared design ideas, connected us to local vendors, help us finalize contracts and maintain necessary paper work, made sure everyone involved was on the same page, and so so much more. On the wedding day, she coordinated the schedule with all the vendors, made sure everyone in the wedding party knew their role, and kept us on track on what would have been a hectic day. Our wedding day this past Saturday was the best day of our lives! We couldn't have done it without MJ and the Blush Events team! From our first meeting with MJ, we loved how straightforward, honest, and knowledgeable she was. Even before booking with her, she provided tons of recommendations and planning tips.
