When we arrived home after church the roast and ham were not ready. My family that lives here suggested we all go to Orange Blossoms as an alternative. We weren't disappointed. The wait for 10 of us to be seated wasn't very long. We enjoyed the "Jenga" on steroids and the live music as we waited for our table. Our server was polite, patient, pleasant and professional. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. From Chicken and Waffles to Build Your Own Burger to Fish and Grits to Gator Tail - all were great choices. Adding this to the brunch rotation My boyfriend, our friend, and I stopped in around 10am on a Sunday for brunch. We waited ~5 mins for a table, despite them being busy. Our server, Iyanna, was really friendly and attentive. We never had to ask for a coffee refill; she was on top of it. Orders had been taken and drinks were on the table ~10 mins after we were seated. The food itself was the best part! Location and service are great, but the food alone could keep this place open. I got a farmer's omelet with hashbrowns and a biscuit (~$12). My boyfriend and our friend got chicken and waffles (~$15). We had no notes on either. Even the sweet tea is good. Been here multiple times for breakfast and lunch, but tonight was the first time for dinner. Odd, as it's very close to where we live. Pleasantly surprised to find a decent selection of craft beers offered, so I opted for a Yueng Ling Octoberfest. They have a separate weekly dinner specials menu as well as the standard breakfast and lunch menu that's available all day. I ordered the smoked meatloaf with tots and slaw from the dinner menu, which was brought out fairly quickly. Service was excellent, but the food was just OK. The meatloaf was a very generous portion, as were the tots and slaw. The slaw had too much of a mayo flavor as opposed to a good slaw dressing. The meatloaf was rather boring, even for meatloaf. Didn't taste much of the glaze the menu says is on it. I'm sure I'll be back, but prolly earlier in the day for brekkie or lunch. read more

We came for Sunday brunch around 10:30. While the restaurant was busy, the service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I had the mimosa to drink. It was served in a pint jar with a sugar rim. Fresh orange juice made it perfect. My husband had ice tea half and half. However it was still quite sweet. I ordered French Toast with two eggs over medium with bacon. The meal was good but not outstanding. My husband had the western omelette and the browns with a biscuit. It was of average taste and ingredients that were a bit undercooked while the hash browns were a bit overcooked. Edible but not outstanding. Yelp searching for lunch and came on this place but moved on as it says closed on Monday. Well not if Monday is a holiday! Open it is so we stopped in. Lots of good choices for breakfast and lunch. I got some Okeechobee gumbo to start. Full of okra and very tasty. I needed to kick it up a little so I added some of their datil pepper hot sauce. Nice heat! I then had the fish reuben. Made with catfish it was cooked well with lots of reuben flavors with the saukraut and dressing. A bit messy but good! Deb had the papa gators brisket. Very flavorful but dry so get plenty of au jus Overall a cool spot with decent food. Some little things like more shrimp for the gumbo or a little sauce for the brisket would go a long way. Went for a late breakfast and some mini golf, we stayed at Keystone RV Resort so it was convenient! Went on a Friday morning and were seated immediately at a corner booth. The decor is fun and the outside games and little library were an added bonus especially for the kids. We all ordered breakfast items and 3/4 were served hot and cooked to order. The omlet was packed with fillings and the Texas burrito was giant and very filling. Our daughter ordered the 1-1-1, egg, pancake and sausage patty. The sausage was over cooked and super crunchy on the exterior but everything else on her plate was yummy. I ordered the corned beef hash & eggs with a biscuit and a side of gravy! The hash was cold so asked for them to throw it back on the grill to heat it up. My plate returned with crunchy hash and by the time I got to eat my biscuit the side of gravy was cold. The server was very kind and she discounted my meal, wish it came out hot because once I got my plate back the flavors were delicious. All in all, the coffee was good, the service was great and the food ended up being better than average. read more

I've been eyeing this place for a while now. So I decided to treat myself to breakfast this morning. As I pulled in, I was excited to see a miniature putt putt course out front! I read the sign that said that they are now open for dinner, so I immediately thought they were making improvements...which is always good for any business that is growing! Energy is always good! The ambiance was inviting and open. The staff was welcoming and super sweet!! Upon ordering my coffee, I was shown the NEW specialty menu (see photo) I ordered a vanilla latte and it was delicious. The menu (see photo) was extensive and I could've chosen many different items, but I chose to get the sunlight omelette, which is a lighter fare. It was full of flavor with the Gouda and caramelized onions! (See photo). If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend visiting this establishment. What a charming, southern gem! Got the Azar skillet. Hasbrowns SUCK. They are dry like chewing plastic. Eggs way overcooked. Azar sausage is excellent but they don't give you much cooked into the overcooked eggs. This place used to be really good. I will give them another try but not Sausage gravy gets 4 stars along with country fried steak. read more

Arrived at 7:20 tonight when advertised that they close at 8:00. Went inside and staff said they were closing early because they had only two people. The 4 of us went to another place. There was also another 2 customers leaving angry. I understand closing if you have 2 people but if we could have been seated that would been 8 people, 3 separate families. Trying to go local is hard when the staff are just concerned with going home. Just wanted to ensure the owners knew about this. read more

I went to this place once and ordered the beef brisket sandwich. It wasn't really brisket, it was chopped up pieces of grilled sirloin steak. The menu talked about slow cooked brisket so I was disappointed in that item The fries were pretty good and the coffee was okay. Everybody else around me seemed to be eating breakfast items, so maybe that's the way to go with place. I sat at the counter and found the stools a little uncomfortable and precarious. The food was very good, especially the grill cheese with tomato and bacon. we also had an omelette and chocolate chip pancakes at the table, all were good. Server was nice and attentive. I went to the Keystone Heights edition of the Florida Cracker Kitchen. It used to be Tom's High on the Hog Real Pit BBQ, but closed sometime earlier this year. Apparently it was taken over by Florida Cracker Kitchen and is now open again. This is a very small chain restaurant in Florida (three locations... the others are in Jacksonville and Brooksville) that is trying to capitalize on "Florida" things. Inside is modeled to be something of a diner combined with a gift shop of Florida-related gifts. As a note, the address listed on real Google Maps and on their website does not really indicate where this place is. It is on the corner of SR 100 and SE 8th Ave, West of the main downtown area of Keystone Heights. it was very busy for a Saturday lunchtime, with a wait out the door that was in the 30-45 minute range, but we had called ahead so they were prepared for our group. We were seated outside, which wasn't too bad even with the 90 degree weather as there were some fans blowing. The menu consists of typical Southern-style breakfast and lunch items. It was close to lunch, and me not being much of a breakfast person in the first place opted for a lunch item. Pretty much everyone else in my group went for breakfast. I ordered a simple cheeseburger, with a side of corned beef hash (I know... I just said I don't go for breakfast, but I do have one weakness in the breakfast world!) The prices on the menu are reasonable. The food came out FAST. The breakfast foods came out very quickly, so they seem to know what they are doing in the kitchen, though our server had trouble determining what some of the breakfast dishes were, and thus people got the wrong items. My burger came out a bit later than the breakfast food, which was fine. It was a fair burger... nothing to really write home about, and I feel that the bun they use is a bit too greasy, but it wasn't horrible. I had to remind the wait staff about my corned beef hash, and when it came out it was the oddest corned beef hash I have seen in a long time. It looked more like a corned beef frittata than actual hash, which would have been a bad thing if I had ordered it with fried eggs, because you want the egg yolk to sort of seep into the hash as a sauce, and this wasn't going to accept a sauce very well. The frittata theme seemed to be a thing with the kitchen, because the breakfast potatoes I saw were also like a frittata, and I saw a number of portions of food simply not being eaten because they were odd like that. The food here simply did not move me. Nothing impressed me or gave me any sort of wow factor. It is popular because it is right along the road, has a putt-putt course on premesis, and welcomes bikers... but that doesn't mean the food is impressive, because it isn't. As a final note, looking at the prices attached to the gift items in the "general store", I fail to see how that side of their business is worthwile in the first place... better to use that space for a couple more tables and sell food. Really, a tiki toss kit for $29.99? Something that you can buy the parts from a hardware store for all of $1.99? No way! read more
