UPDATE: He just sent me a message saying he has keyed my car. He keyed the wrong car. If your black car was keyed on Feb 14, 2016, please call the police and report Ryan Beets, owner OCPDR, and message me on yelp, I have his confession. Ryan from OCPDR assured me he could get all the dents out for $175. He assured me he could get them out at least 97%. I would have paid a lot more, and I was going to give him a lot more if he did a great job. However, what I experienced was far from what was promised. He took 4 hours one day and came back and worked for another couple hours because it was dark. This was fine with me. At first, things seemed to be going well. Then problems began. He pulled out an old rickety halfway-working and dirty rotary buffer, and the pad was wobbling terribly. Anyone who knows anything knows you don't put a wobbling buffer on paint! But he put it on before I could stop him. He used this to buff my hood, but I never asked him to buff my hood! Long story short, my hood wasn't too bad before, but now it 100% needs to be completely repainted immediately. And that wasn't even the job I hired him for. See the attached picture. He said he would fix it but now the whole hood is royally ruined. Now on to the dents. I had 7 minor dings and one dent. However, the fender which was dented in, now needs completely replaced, it looks like it was in an accident. Before, it was just pushed in, but it was smooth so you couldn't notice unless you looked very closely. Now, however, it is all rippled and obvious. Worse, the paint on the fender is really bad now. He did very poor wet sanding as a way to attempt to smooth it out manually because he wasn't capable of doing it the right way - but it didn't work and ruined the paint! See the attached picture to see the damage. There was a minor, smooth ding by the gas tank. However, now it is all rippled from the hammer and tool. Before, it was barely noticeable, but now, it is terrible. It will be very expensive to get this taken out due to the location. Worse, because he wet sanded it, it will need to be repaired, sanded, and repainted (or replaced entirely). Terrible PDR! Then another ding is also dented in from the tool and is not repairable with PDR anymore. 4 stars for the hard work and willingness to correct mistakes, 1 star for service, 1 star for the work, 0 stars for the damage, and 1 star for inability to fix the mistakes even though he was willing to (most of the mistakes are unfixable now due to ruined paint!) It is not for lack of effort. He worked really, really hard. However, I don't think he really knows what he is doing; with some youtubing I could have done the same job and I don't even work on cars. At least I know not to wet sand during a PDR job! He is definitely not an expert, definitely amateur. Several of the dings are far worse, which actually is now going to cost me a lot of money to repair. Not only that, but he obliterated my paint with wet sanding, and destroyed my hood because he had no clue what he was doing and used old broken equipment to do it. Not only that but I never asked him to buff the hood! I paid for PDR! Sure, he charged me $175. But I would have rather paid $0 and not had him come out. Or, I would have rather paid $500 to have it done right. Actually I would have paid him $175 NOT to come out and stay at home so I can hire a real professional! Worse, he caused more issues, and I found several scratches that were definitely not there before, and a couple chips that were not there before in other places. I paid him the $175 for his time but I regret hiring him. Like I said, I would rather have left it how it was than pay him any amount. He's going to be mad I posted this and tell everyone that it wasn't even him that I am talking about, because he kept telling me that the other guy who posted a bad review here posted for the wrong guy too. However, I think it is actually for OCPDR; 1) the other reviewer names him by name (Ryan, although misspelled), and 2) he says that Ryan never answered the phone, and I experienced the same thing with having a hard time to get Ryan to pick up the phone. Also, 3) I had similar bad work. Not only is he highly unskilled, but he was also very unprofessional. To Ryan's credit, he did say that he would be willing to come out again to fix the problems. However, Ryan is not even capable of fixing the problem. Plus, some things need repainted now due to the damage he caused. He told me not to leave a review on Yelp, but since this is going to cost me thousands of dollars to fix, I think you guys should know about this. I doubt he's actually licensed or trained, and he did not give a receipt either. UPDATE: I attempted to contact Ryan to file an insurance claim but he refused to answer the phone. I don't think he is actually insured or licensed. Then he started harassing me and cursing at me and insulting me over text message trying to intimidate me to remove this review. read more

I was in the Walmart parking lot about to open my car door when some inconsiderate excuse for humanity decided to fling their door open at the same time without looking and put an unsightly dent on my door. I was livid and of course they didn't have insurance. I was very upset because this was a brand new 5 Series BMW that I really worked hard to buy and only had it for all of a week! Anyway, a few days later in my apartment complex, I found a flyer on the windshield advertising services for paintless dent repair. I was skeptical because I didn't even know what that was and I was busy stressing over the ridiculous cost that I was quoted by the shop. I gave the guy a call and he promptly came out and fixed it for me. Plus it only cost of a fraction of what I was expecting, to pay. Ryan did an amazing job, a really nice guy, very professional and it took barely any time. Now, you can't even tell, and I am so relieved. It is actually invisible! I highly recommend this company. I posted a review before and I will do it again because I used him again. The first time, this guy is great! He left a card on my car when it was parked and wrote an estimate on it. I called him and he was there in less than an hour and in another hour and a half, he fixed 2 dents! I can't even tell where they were anymore. He is nice and professional and does a great job! AND I didn't pay one cent more than the estimate he wrote on the card! This time, i called directly because I had saved his number. Ryan is a respectful and very helpful mechanic who does excellent work, just as good as a shop without the hassle or price of a shop. Anyone who has anything bad to say about his work or character must be a disgruntled and miserable person. I'm sorry to say but it's the only explanation since I know he takes pride in his work and is a polite and honest person if you show the same respect he does then I could not see anyone having any problems with him. I got a this guy's card on my car at the mall with a quote for my bumper. I called him and he met me at my home the same day. It only took him about 30-40 minutes to fix my bumper! And his price was amazing compared to what the body shop quoted (as a matter of fact, the body shop said I will need a whole new bumper).
