So me mom with no criminal background is get punished while the other one who has an extensive criminal background gets away with it. Wow justice was not served. No I wouldn't want force as I have never physically hit her. I am asking you to tell her to follow the orders. If you would say hey I know we all get mad at our parents but this is your mom's time you are in no harm with her you need to obey the law until you go back to court. My husband had one glass of wine with dinner. The Orange County sheriff department set up a DUI checkpoint this evening in San Clemente just off the I5 south (Pico exit). We were unfortunate enough to get stopped in this absolute debacle. It was a disorganized, discombobulated nightmare that ended up robbing us of our evening and left us thoroughly disillusioned with the astounding incompetence displayed by the sheriffs department. The sheriff department harassed my husband from 9:08 to 10:08 PM before I finally decided to leave on foot since they had taken our vehicle and keys. They refused to breathalyze my husband, who repeatedly implored them to breathalyze him, as I am a doctor and carry a breathalyzer with me in our vehicle. He would never have gotten behind the wheel had he not been fit to drive. There were 6 sheriffs present, each of whom ignored our pleas and continued to humiliate my husband. After they saw me leave on foot into the dark of the night, they finally allowed him to be breathalyzed, and he blew a 0.02. What an absolute travesty to see our tax dollars squandered in such a despicable and senseless manner!! We are aghast and expect accountability!!

Biased and Unfair Treatment by Officer Stephens on Alicia Parkway…read more I'm writing to formally express my deep concern about the behavior of Officer Stephens, who stopped me near Kite Hill on Alicia Parkway and issued a speeding ticket--despite the fact that I was not speeding. As a proud service member of the U.S. Army, I've dedicated myself to protecting this country and the freedoms we all enjoy. It was both disappointing and disturbing to be treated with clear disrespect and what felt like racial profiling. Officer Stephens made inappropriate comments, including questioning my appearance (specifically, why I was wearing earrings) and spoke to me in a dismissive and demeaning manner. He did not allow me to speak or explain anything during the stop. His conduct was unprofessional and, in my opinion, discriminatory. I strongly believe Officer Stephens is in need of immediate diversity and sensitivity training. This type of behavior undermines public trust and reflects poorly on the department as a whole. I hope this complaint is taken seriously. No one should be made to feel targeted or disrespected based on their appearance, background, or ethnicity--especially those who serve this country.

I was asked to do a wellness check on someone and when I arrived I noticed 2 LBPD units parked up…read morethe street and then I saw a message that the person I was checking on was deceased. I needed to relay the situation to a family member that lived out of state and it was nerve wracking to say the least. The officers were there for hours waiting for the coroner and explaining to all kinds of nosey people with somewhat inappropriate questions. I have a handful of cops in my family but I don't get to hear about the slow days per se. LBPD contracts with a service called TIPS. They send counselors to calls where someone is impacted by a traumatic situation. These people along with the officers were amazing and they stayed till the last person walked out and I locked the door. Of course if I get a ticket from LBPD in the future I'm def coming back and taking some s away.
