they trim a big tree once and we liked the boss, great guy and very sociable. so for the next project we decided to go with them too since we wanted to do a big rehaul of the front yard with artificial grass. numbers were great, we discussed the project and said go ahead. however that's when the flags started popping up: communication, planning, no written contract, scheduling all lacking as for days or weeks there wouldn't be a response and no shows. send multiple texts for status but no responses. we understand contractors are busy w multiple projects but at least communicate, it's basics. even neighbors were making comments so that tells you that it didn't happen just couple of times. It took much longer than originally discussed, lack of details and warranty info, and things above wasn't to our liking. most of the other comments we also agree with. we were happy that the job was eventually completed but won't recommend to friends. read more

I hired Marcoos as he seemed very professional, had correct licensing etc. But once he started he was very unreliable. I had to call him back on several occasions to fix broken pipes and sprinklers, costing me lots of money in water bills. I would call him to check to see why he had not fixed the issues I had and he would respond that he would be right out to fix it but showed up several days later, me having to continue call. Lots of excuses why he could not make it that day. He fixed one pipe but there were several others needing to be fixed. I requested that he check all the sprinklers to make sure they were in working order. Never happened. I had also requested a quote on getting my sidewalk repaired. I asked several times and he kept telling me he would get me a quote and nothing ever happened. He was inconsistent with the days he would show up to mow the lawns and today I called because the lawns had not been mowed. He replied they are no longer doing yard work but he would be happy to help me in any other way. WTH! We called him and he claimed he put stump killer on it and would return in a few weeks to remove the stumps. This has by far been the worst experience I've ever had in regards to having work done on my home. My front and back yards were full of weeds. Areas in the backyard had growth about 6' tall. I was extremely detailed in my request for an estimate, which was sent to multiple landscapers about what I wanted done. Marcos is knowledge and a very personable guy. However, he is very unreliable when it comes to completing his work. He will take your money with a partially completed job. He will not come back. He will tell you he will be there tomorrow and will no show, no call, no text, absolutely no communication. Day one it was only him and one other guy. Supposedly 3 guys were hungover and didn't show up. He came back 2 days later and cleared all the top growth along with some bricks and dirt. Immediately I said why are there still weeds, why are both of my yards not graded and leveled. He said oh it made more sense to him to do that when he came back to measure out my beds and grass area. That was after I was told my soil would be amended as well but again that had to wait as well. Next no show was due to an injury to his hand and sends me a screen shot of an emergency room from a parking lot. Idk what that is supposed to tell me. Who can't go drive to an emergency room and take a picture. Then says he will send me the doctors note saying he couldn't work until the 26th, which was 5 days. I didn't get a doctors note or ask for one. Then he finally comes and rakes and makes a one foot pile and waters my back yard wasting water and tells me I need to soak my yards. Was here 45 minutes maybe. I soak my yards like he said to. Guess what? You guessed it no show. Different excuses daily. I've asked for a refund repeatedly with no response. Now I have to find someone to finish what he started and was paid to do. He's crazy if he thinks I will lose a penny. Btw his license is suspended. It said on Yelp he was licensed, now that is gone. I will file a complaint with the state on his suspended licenses and contact the bond company to see if they can find someone to complete the work and compensate me for MY money spent on an incomplete job. I'm not a charity and giving away money. He was hired and paid for a job he didn't complete. I have all the documentation of every communication with him but I'm sure he will come up with another lie like todays latest one. He said for todays excuse he'd send me screen shots of what he sent other customers. So ridiculous. Again, who can't send fake texts and I thought you were working here today so why would other customers need texts? One star is way too much credit but forced to give it. read more

Very disappointed with The Orange County Tree Patrol. A mutually agreed upon quote for yard clean-up/tree removal was given after walking and assessing the job site. This service did not complete the work as agreed upon while stating "it is too much work for the quote, I am walking away from this job and not coming back to finish the work". They also requested a 75% contract payment for one day of work. The completed work was not neat. Railroad ties were knocked down a slope and not re-situated. An upright sprinkler was knocked down. Cut rubbish was not picked up but left to lie upon plants. I would not recommend Orange County Tree Patrol. They do not honor their agreement. read more
