There's nothing to do in Jacksonville and I still wouldn't come back here. Tad bit further, head to Avenue mall instead. This is a great mall! There are a lot of wonderful independent businesses where you get the personal touch from local small business owners along with the major retailers. I know it used to not be such a nice place and some people talk about it as being dirty or unsafe, but it has really gotten better over the last year or so and I have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable there. There is even a new wine bar & coffee shop between Dillard's & Helzberg Diamonds that is delicious! read more

This is a relatively small mall, with a lot of criminal activity. The layout is weird, I will agree with everyone else. But they have what I need so I still still shop here from time to time. They have recently upgraded their security, there are guards everywhere. So it makes me feel a lot safer here. They have a good variety of restaurants in the food court, and we always love eating at the Thai restaurant. They also have A good Dicks, Book Store, and plenty of other awesome stores. read more

This is a decent mall with a lot of stores to choose from...The parking here is okay... Although, if you park near the theater or come during a holiday it can be a pain finding a spot.... The mall is kept clean and although the layout can take some getting used to.... The food court at this mall has a lot of decent places to eat... One of my favorites is Sarku Japan.. I have been to orange park mall over the course of the past 20+ years and have seen it through its many phases. OPM is still going strong and has improved from a few years back when they were under some renovations. All of the typical department stores are there like Belk and Sears. They have some gems like an indoor movie theater, books a million, and a Dick's sporting goods that cater to a wide variety of shoppers. The food court isn't too bad either containing chick fil a and a moes. While other malls have failed or haven't progressed much in the past decade, orange park mall has improved from the time that the St. John's town center opened. It is quite a drive for people over on the west side of town to go to the town center, but OPM has enough to satisfy everyone's shopping needs without driving across town. read more

I got to experience the mall from a different perspective today... on a field trip with around 200 kids on 5 buses!! It went smoothly and there was plenty of security walking around. The mall was clean and accommodating. Props to Chik fil A . They had our lunch ready upon arrival. We had a good time. It was nice of the mall to allow us to come let the kids have lunch here after our field trip. read more

My young 21 yr old daughter was shopping with friends on Black Friday. Which was supposed to be a time of Joy & Excitement on her first BF shopping trip. This day turned out to be a total disaster. Who in their right mind Covers a hole in the flooring with a piece of carpet???? NO SAFETY SIGNS. My daughter who is 6 years Cancer Free is walking along and walks right into the covered hole. She had a total hip replacement cause of cancer 3 years ago so what if she damaged her hip? Or the other one? She fell and broke her ankle. She was in so much pain and today is March 12 and she needs PT, other testing. She should have had a Blast on her first Experience and should have returned to work after the holidays. Instead she's in pain and going to Doctors appts. I'm Mom and I'm mad as Hell. I will Never Shop at the OP Mall again. I have for 20+ years. This goes for family and friends as well. How Dare you OP Mall be for neglectful. read more

I like this mall but I wish there was a larger selections of stores. The stores I've patronized have been great however the odds of coming here and it being necessary to visit another location to find what your looking for is high. Not a bad mall at all. As some other reviewers said, it is one of a very few indoor malls in the area. It has a lot of stores and some good snack/meal options. I wish there were more stores for plus size ladies but I know that probably isn't a reality. My only real criticism is the layout. It is very confusing and I have gotten lost a couple times. One great feature...there is a post office inside. I live nearby so it's easier to get to this one on a weeknight. read more

Clearly, Orange Park Mall is not on par with St Johns Town Center or the Avenues: it's older and it has overall a different client base and focus, but that said, it's a pretty nice mall. The layout indeed is very odd and I cannot figure out why it was built this way: they have plenty of land yet the mall just sprawls out in an odd manner when more of a loop would have made finding your way around it much easier. That said, it has quite a few stores and even some like a Vans store that are lacking from many malls this size. There is an emphasis on urban clothing/sneakers here which is good if you dress kinda baller as I do: they have a DTLR as well as Champs, Finish Line, and Foot Locker and all are well-stocked. I would prefer people at least say "urban" over "ghetto" though which carries ample thinly-disguised racism. Yeah, you have more of an urban, Black client base here than say St Johns Town Center but that doesn't make it ghetto and everyone in every store I went in was very nice and helpful. There is a decent sit-down sushi restaurant, Phillip Sushi, and some other restaurants, plus the food court, and a movie theatre. They also have a Dick's Sports though its one of the most poorly-stocked Dick's I've ever seen--even the one in Ocala is better. read more

This mall is not the worst nor the best you'll find around here. That said, if you live on this side of town, you often have to decide between this meh mall or driving between 30 minutes and an hour for superior options. This mall has one of the few Old Navys in Jax, which is what keeps me coming back regularly. My experience with service at this mall overall has always been pretty good. The store selection isn't awesome and the parking lot gets crazy around the holidays or when kids are out of school (the parking near the movie theater is always crazy, if you can park in another area and walk, do it). The food court is okay but after almost every place got shut down for failing health inspections a couple of years ago, I get nervous about eating there. There is no longer a coffee shop (there was one in the BooksAMillion for a while but it's long gone and a few people have tried to open small ones, all have closed). Lately stores seem to come and go and move around the mall constantly but the mall is small enough that you can hit most stores in a pretty short time period. read more

Not clean AT ALL! The floors are dirty, the bathrooms are dirty, the food court was dirty, you get the picture. Even the stores seem dirty and unorganized. I don't come here often and this is why, in addition to traffic getting here. read more

I love to shop & I love visiting new places I haven't been before, but OP Mall ranks near the bottom for me. It's definitely not 'ghetto', Regency will always hold that crown. And if I lived in the OP area, I could see myself here more often, but I have to pass so many other shopping opportunities on my way to OP that it's just not worth the drive for me. I've been here several times over the years, but I still think the layout is awkward even though I know my way around. I was in town on a visit and only came here for literally 5 mins. We were in search of Tutti Fruitti. So, we did a quick walk through the food court and stopped where we thought it was... and boom, it's no longer there. So, we left. Otherwise, looks like a pretty decent mall. Considering we came in the middle of the afternoon, it wasn't too bad. May be more action in the evening hours. read more

I'm from Virginia and came to Florida to visit a friend mine in the area, and wanted to do some shopping while he ran errands. I came to the mall to check out the stories. I came across a great guy selling Hello Fresh we struck up a conversation about comics and movies for awhile. He recommend some stores to me and was great. In the Belk I asked someone where the Old Navy was and they didn't know and worked at the mall. I then proceeded to the upstairs area and asked another Associate and she didn't know either, where is this mysterious Old Navy was. I walked back out the story grabbed a cold beverage at the Auntie Anne's stand. I asked if I could grab a frozen Mango and Strawberry Lemonade. The young girl proceeded to make the beverage adding more and more syrup over lemonade. I didn't say anything I just got Lemonade asked her if she knew where the Old Navy was. Guess What! She did not know where this well hidden and secretive place. Sooo I figure I was never going to the Old Navy so I went to Claire's for a sec before Walking out the mall completely. Before on my way out I wanted to say bye to my Hello Fresh friend and decided to get order some meals before walking towards the Books A Million. I asked a lady just walking around and she gave me some slight directions. But couldn't go because my ride was there. I then ented the car where my Best Friend was he tells me he was at the Old Navy cause he fiured I would be there. read more

I'm definitely not a MALL FAN, but I go when necessary. I don't have anything bad to say about the mall. I only went in for 2 specific stores and was out. The mall appeared to be busy at the time we were there. I've definitely visited more upscale malls but if you're wanting to get a mall fix quickly this is the spot. read more

I've visited(and worked in) the Orange Park Mall over the last 20 years. It's gotten updates and upgrades over the years but it's still the same quaint little mall. They haven't tried to make this place high class or anything but it also has gone to the dump(like Regency Mall). The parking lot and roads desperately need the be repaired but the main building is still decent. Sears, Belk and JC Penney seem to be dying a slow death. Dillard's seems to be the only department store here that still looks nice inside. The restaurants near the theaters and book store were a nice addition but parking sucks on the weekends. Overall there's rarely more than one vacant retail spots so this mall isn't "dead" like others I've seen. The food court has a pretty good selection and there's a good amount of seats. The atmosphere is a bit hectic on the weekends but nice on weekdays. That bungee-trampoline thing just ruins the atmosphere One downside that isn't in control of the mall is the fact that traffic outside is terrible on the weekends. Wells and Blanding are so packed on the weekends. Getting into and out of the mall can be a hassle. read more

This place used to be great I have been coming here since I was a kid. Now I have two kids of my own. Since they took the slide which was the main atrraction of the play area my toddler hates playing here. I dont know why they took it out but now the only things worth doing with your kids cost money. And once they open the bar there we may not even be coming back because I wont feel welcome with my children. The food court has roaches. That's right roaches. We love eating here but I cant even sit back on the booths because I am afraid they will crawl on me. Because yes that actually happened. We sit at the booth because of our kids and sure enough we had not one but two roaches crawling on our family. Its nasty. read more

A high school reunion every time I make a visit! If you are a local to the area this is pretty much your one stop shop to not only meeting new people, but reuniting with old friends. Very live and upbeat environment for anyone of all ages to enjoy, from upscale businesses to shop till you drop, all the way down to a train for children to ride around the mall on, as well as a trampoline located in the middle of the food court for all to enjoy. Quite the number of shops; maybe not as diverse as its sister malls Avenues and town center; but it gets the job done, always new shops filing in every year or so it's constantly improving, that's what keeps me going apart from being joined to the hip with an AMC24, but definitely the 3rd runner up with the other 2 malls located within Jacksonville/OrangePark. 4/5 read more

Agree with others the lay-out is odd. Many people would try to get me to go the the Avenues, saying they had better clientele. However, I went to Orange a park mall for seven years and never had a problem. They have a good range of stores and I've never see a vacancy. read more

The kids and I went shopping the mall was so crowed. But the lady in the kids locker help my son find what he wanted and the was so happy. We left the mall pleased as punch. Visited the mall while on vacation and was disgusted with the overall appearance and cleanliness. Also, they have a pet store in the mall which should be shut down. All the puppies looked extremely sick, the staff seemed to not care when I asked questions, and I could not believe the state some of the dogs were in. Skinny, not a lot of energy, and small cages. It was so sad. I looked on Facebook and they were already being investigated for neglect or abuse to one or two of the puppies that were extremely underweight. Pet stores get their dogs from puppy mills, where they are produced in mass numbers, brought to pet stores sick and in need of medical attention, then sold for obscure prices. Do not visit or purchase from this pet store. You are only fueling abuse of innocent animals. read more

I usually love this mall and never really have problems with any of the stores. However, recently I visited the store Charlotte Russe, to buy some business clothes. I found some great items here for business wear to start off. However, the cashier did not have much knowledge on the deals, and she charged me twice for the same item, which had threading coming undone and made beads come unattached. It's good to go to when you need some business clothes but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on one item but make sure you inspect your purchases and receipt. Other stores in the mall have some great items to purchase for work, if you work in an office, but they are a little pricey if you are just starting out. I highly recommend the Payless store for shoes, the sales rep there is super nice and sweet and she can even help you get extra discounts sometimes. One of my favorite places to eat there is Sarku Japan, the teryaki chicken is amazing and they cook it in front of you while you wait, which is kinda cool. The price isn't too bad either considering how much food you get for it. I love the movie theater also, especially with all it's new updates and renovations. It is a bit pricey but if you go Saturday mornings before 11:00 a.m. you can get a $5 ticket for most movies. Overall, this is one of the best reasonably priced malls that I know of. read more

Orange Park Mall is just your average suburban shopping mall. It's located less than a mile south of 295 on Blanding. The stores are just your typical mall stores. Nothing really stood out to me. The only real standout was the Books a Million store. It's an average sized bookstore inside a mall, which was surprising to me. Personally, I prefer Borders or Barnes & Noble to Books a Million (we don't have any in Cleveland), but it's still nice to have a bookstore in the mall. The food court was your typical food court, same old department stores, nothing really special about the mall. There's an AMC theater and a Dick's Sporting Goods among the anchors. I will say, the mall was more attractive than I thought it would be (I had heard that Orange Park Mall was kinda ghetto, but the mall didn't strike me as ghetto, although I was there on a Monday morning). Overall, if you live in SW Jacksonville or Orange Park/NE Clay County, Orange Park Mall is a perfectly fine mall. However, it's not worth driving to from other parts of JAX or for a visit from out-of-towners like myself. read more

Orange Park Mall, is a very nice mall to shop at. OPM was the first mall in Jax to get an AMC theater and the others malls followed. And of course, they added more amenities and trends to their theater. Even though, we have Avenues mall, St. John's TC. OPM Is always the original who still holding it down.. If they add a second floor, and more trendy stores, that's not in Jax with the ones they have now.. It would be nice.. It will make the traffic flow in the mall much heavier and it would be good revenue. #OPM# is a place nice place for shopping, and in a nice area.. read more

This mall has definitely improved over the years. I remember how the mall was before it got remodeled. They used to have a carousel in the middle of the food court and there was an arcade. I miss those things but the mall is great now. The atmosphere is always upbeat, however, the crowd has changed. read more
