If I had to pick the anchor store, I would guess it would be the Mega Liquidation Center, though I came in here on a quest for Mexican food and heard about this place called Pepe's Hacienda. In addition to those two businesses, I noticed a pizzeria, a dentist called Economy Dentistry. A University of Florida Pediatric Center, a Quest Diagnostics, a dry cleaners and various other small businesses who call this shopping center home. Oh, there were also a few banks. The parking lot looks well maintained and the shopping plaza was relatively clean. All in all, my visit to this plaza and the Mexican restaurant was a positive one. While I would not recommend coming here to do some shopping, it is not a bad place to head to if you have business in one of the businesses here.

Parking lot could use a repave but the lighting after dark was good. Main tenants include a pizza place, Japanese, cell phone store, dental office, a Subway and a wings place. Parking is a bit tight, but I guess there was ample space when I got here at about 1:00 in the afternoon for lunch. If you are going to a particular location in here, there is nothing wrong with it. I have yet to venture into the Dollar Tree, but I am glad they found something to replace the Blockbuster. While I would always hope for more dining options in PV, I'm happy with an occupant full shopping center. For as small (few shops) as the strip center is it has ample parking.

Panera Bread, Dollar Tree, AT&T, Xfinity, Mattress Firm, Chick-fil-A, Crumbl Cookie is coming soon- oh dear! I popped in yesterday to Target and Sally's Beauty Supply. I have been in numerous stores in the center at least weekly, sometimes more. I have even run work errands for my boss to various stores here. There is an excellent mix of food and shopping and services. There are many more stores in this plaza than I listed! Pop in to discover something new. Oh- and this plaza has plenty of parking, but the Hodges entrance and exit has this section of double speed bumps/humps that is odd. And the outlying strips have some cut throughs and cutoffs that can make it interesting to navigate- be careful, some people whip through those sections. Especially near Chick-fil-a.

It is on Beach Blvd, which is a major east-west artery between Southside Boulevard and St. Johns Bluff Road. Well lit but with only a single entrance that does not have a traffic light though there is break in the median that includes a turn lane. There is sufficient space there if you're only able to cross one side of the traffic and have to wait for the other. The lot is in very good condition and was quite well lit. Sawgrass Village is the local shopping center for the Ponte Vedra area, but it's not exactly a…read moredestination like St. Johns Town Center. It is dotted with locally owned shops & boutiques and a few big anchors like Publix and CVS. It starting a redevelopment project in 2013 and I like the idea of where it's trying to go. I've had jewelry repairs done at Village Jeweler. I've eaten breakfast at Elizabeth's. And I've gotten a couple of manicures at Sawgrass Nails. It's got a variety of shops, but it definitely could use some fresh places. I just hope they can refill the shops and give me options to support locally in my own neighborhood rather than having to - goodness forbid - cross the ditch! Even a quick service chain like Panera would be nice for this end of the beach; I'll guess we'll have to wait and see.

We frequent Bisciotti's, Josephine, Mojos and Southern Grounds. All 5 star locations for us. No chains here for shopping either. Everything is a privately owned specialty. Vintage, gifts, clothing, and pet boutique. All of them Top Notch. Steady occasions here for festivals and celebrations as well. Just a great place to spend the day with friends or a romantic date. If you haven't spent a day in Avondale, do yourself a favor and check it out. If you're from Jacksonville, you know, but it's one of the hidden gems of Florida.
