Horrible experience. My first time there. Wellhub advised new people to show up 20-30 mins early to sign a waiver, get tour, etc. I got there early, no waived, never shown where anything was like even the restroom, instructor gave her name and handed me a clipboard. Not once did she welcome me or ask if this was my first time trying the facility. Class started. She didn't really explain the format, how it works, went right into it. I'm new.. not once did she stop, take time to e encourage me or ask me how I was doing. I was so turned off that the minute I got a chance to leave the class, I did. I walked out. The instructor's name was Bethanie. Wasn't welcoming and I don't plan on ever returning to any orange theory fitness class. Not a welcoming or motivating environment. read more

I highly recommend OTF Midtown. The group fitness model holds you accountable and makes the 1 hour class fun. The coaches are motivating and encourage you along the way. This is a great workout for any age and fitness level because it's a combo of treadmill/rower/weights that is done in a safe way. The orange lighting makes for a less self conscious experience. SO IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING THIS PALCE YOU ARE NOT 30 minutes early you are not working out. I was 15 minutes early and the guy at the front desk said that's not enough time to sign liability and set up a heart monitor. 1. I don't want used heart monitor I own an Apple Watch. 2. I've never taken more than 5 minutes MAX to sign consent. 3. I don't need a tour before the equipment isn't significantly different than ANY gym in the United States. I think 10 minutes is enough of time or even 5. I will never go to Orange theory because of the lack of awareness that people have lives and can't spend an 1 hour and 30 minutes plus another 30 minutes going over sign up fees since this gym can't seem to do anything under "30 minutes". This place is great for if you've gotten bored with working out and would like to have some fun with it. The music is designed to give you a certain tempo to your sets, and is loud enough so that all you can focus on is your workout and your lovely coach yelling motivation at your way. It is a great full body experience. If you're looking to shed a few pounds or just looking for a new experience, this is a great place to do it. Keep coming to the same location for the chance for a special challenge day as well, such as the "Dri Tri" which was an incredibly rewarding experience. Love this gym I've been feeling healthier mentally and physically since I started one month ago!

What a workout! I used to do Zumba classes and go out salsa dancing.... Then Covid happened and I didn't commit to exercising on my own. Fast forward last year, I started using a personal trainer because I don't know how to properly work out. It was helpful, but not enjoyable.... This year I decided I need to try something different so I can enjoy working out, and I found exactly what I needed!! Orange Theory is a full body workout, 30 minutes on the treadmill with suggested changes in rate and/or incline (this is the first I've been able to run in years!!), and 30 minutes between the rowers and weight floor. While on the weight floor, the types of exercises are demonstrated, and options are gives to adjust to each persons abilities. This is the first I've enjoyed working out, and don't dread going to the gym each day. Lastly, although all coaches are great. My favorite has been Amy. Her attitude is kind but firm, and motional!! read more

Within about 90 seconds I received a "sales person" type phone call. I told them never mind because I knew I would most likely get the used car salesman treatment if I took the class. Midtown is such a welcoming atmosphere. The non-trainer employees learn your name and ask questions that are relevant to your day/past conversations. The trainers work with you to ensure you are getting the best workout for your body, regardless of your restrictions. The trainers really work with you, even if it means hopping on the rower next to you to show you how to do it. The workout is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) with treadmills, rowers and a weight floor. For the treadmills they give you a few options based on your skill level. You can be a power walker, jogger or runner with the "ranges" posted in front of you on the state of the art treadmill (that is low impact and even has a personal fan to help keep you cool when you are pushing it!). The workout is based on zone training which is explained to you in almost every class so you don't have to overthink it. It's definitely an addictive workout and is something that members constantly talk about. Highly recommend and hope you join the community! read more

Don't come here if you're looking to take a hot shower before work. There hasn't been hot showers for 10+ days now. Supposedly they have "reached out" to someone to get it fixed. Nothing like taking a cold shower after you work out when it's 40 degrees out. This is 2020, there's no excuse for not having hot water especially when you pay $100+ per month for a membership. I love this location. I began coming here because the Peoria location on Northern had horrible times and always shortened their 45 minute classes to 31-34 minutes. The coaches here are a lot better than the location on Northern and they take to time to make sure that you are getting a quality workout. I highly recommend coming to this location if you decide to join Orangetheory. I do not recommend the Peoria location at all. I just started as a member during the last two weeks of December 2019 and we're now well into 2020 and I still have not had the luxury of booking classes on their app, which they highly promote when signing up for a membership. I called today 1/8/20, asking for a refund because I have had several tickets for IT to fix my app so I can book classes and long behold, nothing has changed and I still cannot book any classes. I spoke to a girl in the front, and I told her that I am over this continuing problem and do not want to have the conversation again, I want my money back. The young lady responded with "ok I'll take care of everything." Not to long after I receive an email from Rachel Anderson, the studio manager who apologized for my inconvenience but that I had other option on booking a class: calling or walking in. Before today I have called to book a classes many times but 9/10 times no answers because I've noticed that the front desk receptionist joins the classes and leaves the phone unattended. And I am not walking into the studio to be turned away. The whole purpose of this program is convince, by adding yourself to a class online. And if the class is booked, you'll not be able to participate. Therefore I am not wasting my time by physically going in to the studio to potentially being turned away. So the studio manager, Rachel, mentioned that she has the ability to refund my money but chooses not to because I still have classes on my account and she is willing to add up to 5 free classes. Of course I have classes because I have not be able to use them properly on the app and why will I accept 5 more when I can't even properly utilize the ones I have. This place is poorly ran and has horrible management. DO NOT JOIN THIS LOCATION! read more

I promised myself that if OTF opened up near my home I would join. So about a year and a half ago the newest Orange Theory on 7th Avenue open up and decided to join. I started out doing a few classes a month and now I have unlimited classes and do four classes a week. I absolutely love this place as well as the trainers there. Both Lindsey Tyler and Austin are my favorites who make me laugh as well as push me to a new level. Rachel, the office Manager is so accommodating and friendly. It's more than just working out it feels like a family honestly. I have seen great results, feel better, more fit and actually doesn't feel like a tedious work out, but like fun. Orange Theory at Phoenix Midtown is a great location I can easily get to at all the times of the day. The coaches are fun and uplifting and teach you had to properly lift in the strength segment of the hour. I started at the beginning of March and now two months later I am standing up and appear taller. I gained strength in my entire body, so I am holding my body up better. I am enjoying the classes and want to continue with OT Midtown. read more

This is my first Orangetheory studio I have been to and I love it! I have been a member since April 2019 and not only enjoy the structure of the classes but also like all of the staff at this location. Orangetheory keeps me motivated to actually go to the gym and the trainers push me to make the most of the workout. I also really like all of the stats that OT provides you with at the end of each class. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who is looking to get fit and stay motivated! read more

If you're out of shape or have physical limitations this is the place for you! I went in to try out their free first time class and was hooked. I've never been to a gym in my life and was terrified I was going to hate it. They are amazing at learning your limitations and modifying your workout and they believe in pushing yourself but not killing your self. They are constantly checking to make sure you're in proper form which they would rather have than you doing than more reps. If you're overweight or out of shape or just want to have fun working out I so hope you'll give this place a try. read more
