Heard great things about Orange Works, so you know we had to make sometime to check it out. Very cool and laid back vibe. Staff was very patient and friendly, and even offered to make our ice cream later, when we were ready for it . Much appreciated- eat first , dessert later. We noticed they close at 4pm; so we had to hurry up our afternoon, to get there on time. Wish they closed maybe at 5pm, could come after work, or for dinner. My husband ordered a hot pastrami sandwich and I ordered the lunch special combo with a turkey sandwich. The lunch special combo comes with a sandwich, chips, soda and ice cream. Prices; lunch combo special is $17 Combo without ice cream is $15 Wish the drinks were fountain drinks with free refills, or more choices for chips ,besides lays. The drinks are all cans. A few tables are available for dining inside , most people seem to order to go. I must say don't skip the ice cream... it's creamy and delicious and that orange flavor is good, not overpowering; just right ! My turkey sandwich with everything was good, but my husband's hot pastrami sandwich, with everything ,was even better. That pastrami and that cheese melted together OMG! Tbh when I come back I'm going to order that, it really hit the spot and got those taste buds popping; I was very thrilled. This spot is located in the downtown area of Visalia. There's parking in front or you have to parallel park nearby. You have to go through a door near a tattoo shop, but it's very easy to find. Sandwiches are delicious, but the best part is their Orange Smoothie. They have an online ordering system if you're in a rush to go. I definitely like this spot more than their other location which is super crowded and busy. I feel like the Orange Smoothie here is thicker and tastes better! So fresh and yummy! read more

Stop by for some ice cream after my spa treatment, I've never been here before so decided to take the time to support another local business. This place is hidden in a shopping plaza on the south side of Main St. & it's not visible from the street. I chose an orange flavor ice cream wasn't feeling the flavor of the day. See my pic for that. Not many choices to choose from, but they do offer smoothies & other items. Just about anything Orange you can think of. Service was quick because I was the only one, yet again after I ordered 3 more sets of customers came in. They offer seating inside or in the middle of the small shopping mall. The food at this hide away in Visalia is just as good as Strathmore. Sandwiches are on a fresh roll and all ingredients served fresh and quick. The service is not quite the well oiled wheel tho. Seating is limited and just not as nice. (It was also kind of hard to find - back behind a tattoo parlor.) There was no sign with yogurt flavor of the day - had to ask. I had the tri tip sandwich combo, which included lays classic chips and a drink (I got iced tea). The sandwich was great, I love brown/dijon mustards and the ingredients (tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese, and the tri tip) all went perfectly together. The roll was excellent, as well. Planning on coming back to give the ice cream a try next time! We were so lucky we found this place it wasn't open yet but there was a gentleman out back unloading a truck who I think may have been the owner. This little shop specializes in Orange flavored Soft Serve Ice Cream. It's delicious!! I noticed bits of, either Pulp or Rind, within the serving. 3.99 for the JR sized cup which was more than enough. Also noticed a sandwich combo, with chips & Orange Shake for $11. Not bad. I haven't been to Orangeworks for a few years until I recently found out that they opened a location in Visalia. The location is located in a plaza next to Cafe India on Main Street in Visalia. There are a few tables outside to sit at if you are interested in outside dining. Parking could be limited due to the heavy traffic on Main Street but there is parking available in the back of the building. During this visit, I ordered the vegetarian salad with egg plant and added tri-tip. The tri-tip was thoroughly cooked which I appreciated. In the past, the meat was rare and dry. All the veggies were nicely cut and organized onto a bed of lettuce. However, the dressing was straight from a commercialized dressing. Would have been nice to have dressing made by scratch or a local vendor. Their ice cream is their most popular item along with the sandwiches. read more

Nice sandwich shop downtown, easy to walk around. Orange works is in a little strip mall on Main Street. We got two lunch specials, one ham and one turkey. They were out of tritip. Lunch special comes with plenty of food. Sub, chips, drink and ice cream. The pumpkin cheesecake was awesome. The orange cream was good to. Great little shop downtown totally recommend it. read more

I was here with my cousins on a Friday, a while back.. around end of July / early August?.. anywho, first time being here so all the regulars know it's Twix day. I got a little risqué [keep in mind they only serve 2 flavors each day] I had their house orange ice cream and Twix combo, in a large cup... boom! Their original is basically an awesome creamsicle and the Twix helps enhance the orange flavor. My palate was always on its toes ate it all and if I do end up stopping by downtown, I'll will def try a different day out and their flavors. I feel bad for Orange Works and what this location is doing to their reputation. We ordered for pick up at a 20 min wait, kind of typical right? Nope. Get there and they say another 10 mins because they "just" got the order. So then 20 mins passes by and I see 3 different walk ups gets their food and ice cream before my order is ready. At this point lunch rush was over. Nobody inside waiting on food just me and 3 other pick ups. After 50 mins of placing an online pick up order that was marked for 20 mins I finally get my food. Not only do they lack attention to detail, the skimping of toppings is crazy!?!? One slice of trip tip for a sandwich!? Are you kidding me. Hard to believe this is the same owners as the well known Orange works! Long line which I wouldn't mind if food was good. My husband got a tri tip sandwich and I got turkey. His tri tip was loaded with too much mustard which he didn't ask for. My turkey sandwich had one piece of lunch meat and lack of anything else, tasted like I was just eating bread. I asked for extra mustard (guess my husband got that) and my sandwich ended up being dry and sub par. Don't think I'd come back as location is not ideal (hard to find parking) and the food was very disappointing! read more
