Soooooo dirty inside. Rancid dairy smell as you walk in. Grease and grime caked all over the floor baseboard and door frames. Dripping machines caked with melted yogurt even on the handles. Saw a bug crawling across the floor and the doors and walls are full of smudges and drips from what looks like splattered yogurt . Absolutely foul, walked out without getting anything. I still love going here because the yogurt is good and there are a lot of toppings to choose from, but it's gone downhill some. On a Friday night, only one person was working, running back and forth between back room duties and the register, so the line grew. And for some unknown reason the lights were dimmed, making the store feel cave-like. I hope they can bring it back to previous levels. read more

Tucked away behind an awning and some trees Big Kahuna. If it wasn't for the sign outside, you'd miss it. Place was good and convenient, in a time of disappearing frozen yogurt shops. The inside is small and even a little sad. It's a dark and quiet. Thankfully during my visit it wasn't busy or I could imagine this place getting cramped. Overall good place for froyo. This is one of the very, very few highlights of Tulare. Just when you thought there was absolutely nothing worth pulling off the freeway for, Big Kahuna opened up shop. This is one of the best froyo shops I've been to. They have a ton of flavors, a ton of toppings, and everything is well-stocked and clean - no messes all over the floors or toppings spilled and mixed in with one another. This is the first shop where I saw the graham cracker flavor and I highly recommend it! They even have plenty of sample cups that you can grab if you're unsure of what to try. With the ever-revolving number of flavors here, that will probably be the case. Bring out your inner Big Kahuna. Get some of the best froyo the valley has to offer. read more

This place is delicious! Been here twice already with my niece and nephew, and I'm pretty satisfied. There is about 30 to 40 different toppings to put on your yogurt of choice. They even have low fat pistachio yogurt...but it's disgusting..everything else is good! Watch the amount of toppings you put on your yogurt, a small can cost you 10 bucks!! The amount you pay is determined by the weight of your toppings and the amount of yogurt you put in the cup. Gets pretty pricey. Customer service is very welcoming. I'll be back for sure. read more

Since this place is exactly like the other location I'm just going to copy and paste, but first, one difference that gets it that extra start is the outside seating area. It's actually really nice. Every time I come here I see a pretty good number of froyo machines but am always disappointed by the selection of flavors. Maybe it's their supplier, I don't know. I just know that you usually don't need to have three different kinds of vanilla on the same day. I wish I could see more of the flavors I'm used to seeing at froyo places like Taro and Green Tea. I've asked and they don't have nor can they get, which again leads me to believe it's probably their suppliers. Maybe they need to consider switching it up a little. I like classic tart the most, and they almost always have it, but there's something about theirs that just isn't right. And almost all of their other flavors are way too sweet, which coming from someone with my sweet tooth is saying a lot. Luckily the place is never busy so any time I go there I don't have to wait around dawdling newbs trying to figure out how to pull a handle. But then maybe their lack of customers should be a tell. I love this place! They're yogurt is delicious. They have non-dairy, no sugar added and fat free options so there is truly something for everyone! They have a great topping selection too. From all of my favorite cereals to freshly cut fruit, they really do have it all. The staff seems to be mostly young college kids, and they are all friendly and helpful. They offer sample cups to everyone who walks through the door. I've been a few times now, and the place is always clean... regardless of how busy they are. We came here on a Sunday night an hour before closing. Had a very relaxing time on the dim lit patio enjoying the magical tastes of their California and pineapple tarts...definitely recommend. To top it off we had a buy one get one free coupon...perfect! read more

My daughters and I visit Big Kahuna at least twice a month during the summer. They always have new flavors to try and no joke the place is the cleanest frozen yogurt shop I've ever seen. They have so many toppings to choose from: nuts, candy, cereal, granola, coconut, crumbled cookies as well as fresh fruit and yummy boba in different flavors. The outdoor seating area is cool and shady with neat little beach chairs that make it seem like a little oasis. If you haven't been you gotta try it.
