The interior is very welcoming. The choices are amazing and so many styles, the portions are huge! Mine came in a take out container and I brought it home, had a bowl and put the remains in the freezer for later because there was so much. I'm sure I could have ordered just a cup but I loved all the fresh fruit on the selection I chose. Super fresh fruit on top is what I chose but I want to go back and try ice cream and ices I've never tried. The nice lady behind the counter was very helpful in telling me what some of the unknown flavors were. Staff: Not the most welcoming establishment, unless you're a regular it seems. After you order, your item is placed on a pick up table. The 4 girls of me were called by name to pick up their orders. They never asked me mine and just left it there. The other customers had some nice welcoming convo, but it was pretty quiet with me- idk. Seating: plenty of indoor seating. Eats: I ordered a small #2 off the menu which consists of diced and sliced fruit, granola, condensed milk, and ice cream. I left out the condensed milk and opted for honey and walnuts. The flavor was great! All of the fruit was nice and ripe. Next time I'd leave out a few ingredients like cantaloupe and granola. Most of my fruit was cantaloupe. This is just based off of preference as it tasted just fine. The granola has raisins and coconut shavings, just fyi to those who aren't a fan. You have the option to choose your ice cream, and I went w pistachio. I wish they gave the option to build your own- they might but I didn't ask. I'll try that next time if it's available to me. When I visit Porterville, this place is a must. I use to come here all the time with my best friend back in 2009. My favorite thing to order is the fruit salads, specifically #2. They also have the best if not the only assortment of Mexican ice creams (Not made of dairy) which is a plus for me since I try to limit my dairy intake. My rating is based on the service. Fruit and ice cream is amazing! I walked in a few days ago and I was the 3rd customer. Oasis had a young guy working and he was swamped with orders and no one to help! A lady came from the back and instead of helping him clear the line she started putting ice cream away! After 10 minutes she finally decided to help 1 customer who was ahead of me. The couple ordered something and she went to the back and was gone for at least 10 minutes. I ordered last and was out first then them. I felt so bad. Customers get frustrated standing in line for over 10 minutes especially when there is help that isn't helping . This place was introduced to me October of 2013 by a friend who bought me a chamango for my birthday. I had not had a chamango or ever been to this place before until 7/23 when I was in town with the same friend who bought my first chamango! I had no clue they sold fruit salad bowls! Very reasonable ice cream and all sorts of fresh fruit with chili powder. Pulled in with 6 and double scoop waffle cone ice creams for everyone only came to $17! The ice creams we had were delicious but a few of the ice creams looked a bit iced over which to me doesn't look too appealing plus I'll bet the taste would be a bit off. Store looked clean, clutter free, ample parking, very nice service. Restroom was clean. For Porterville I'd say it's probably the best in town and very nice for a smaller population town. read more

I got 2 orders of their Hot Cheeto locos & received things that weren't even listed as their ingredients. Also, only got chile (barely) when it was supposed to be topped with other things. I drove by this spot and decided to stop. And was Soooo glad I did. I met the owner who told me about her products. She let me try several flavors. I ended with the mango chili sorbet/ice (the top was dusted with more chili powder, at my request). Wow, what a treat! The flavors were fresh and dynamic. As for the service, the owner was friendly and attentive. I did have to wait my turn (three customers in front of me). The products were high quality. The only other place you can get "botanas" like these would require you to drive down the Grapevine and into Los Angeles. Oasis lives up to the name very affordable has a wide variety of ice creams. Can mix and match whatever you want. Staff are very friendly and helpful on selections. You can't go wrong with this place. It's doesn't seem to be very popular but it's a hidden jem rest assured. read more

I always stop by Oasis for their chamangos when I'm in town. I haven't found any like theirs in NorCal. It's $5 which may seem pricey but they give you huge chunks of mangos. read more
