Uhh ya, usually when you drive a vehicle to a hotel you park it in the parking lot. I was then told that usually when people drive larger vehicles they notify them ahead of time and so on. So she goes and gets the manager that proceeds to tell me multiple time people always call ahead (ok no need to keep telling me something that SHOULD have been done a long time ago) how all the rooms and parking spaces are all taken for the night and on and on. My husband then comes around and says that he will move it no problem. She proceeds to talk over him and keeps saying the same thing. At this point I am ready to just go to a different hotel because of how extremely rude they are. Now I have no problem owning up to I should have called ahead however I don't drive an oversize vehicle for my every day car so I didn't realize or even think of this issue. It was a Thursday night in May!! I get if you are just concerned about having enough space for all your guests but there is a way to approach and talk to people. My everyday job is scheduling and sales so I talk to people non stop and being rude is NEVER a way to talk to someone! That being said we left at 6:15am on Friday morning and our truck was taking up 1 and a quarter of another parking spot and in their two small parking lots there was at least 7 or 8 empty spots available!!! The room was nice and clean and the young man that assisted my husband with parking was very nice however my experience with the rude front dest lady and EXTREMELY rude manager will not have me going back! These cabins come with a private hot tub, a BBQ grill, and a nice patio. Our cabin had a nice view of the sunset and the Deer Harbor Marina. The location is very quiet, peaceful, and remote. It is about a 20 minute drive to the town of Eastsound, where all the major restaurants and businesses on the island are located. The location is also known for having deer walk around the property at night time. The cabin also had a few basic kitchen essentials, a microwave, a Keurig, dishes, utensils, and a wine opener. The TV had a full range of streaming services to choose from. The cabin was small, very homey. We loved the hot tub and the views. It was perfect for our getaway. Matthew's Smokehouse, a BBQ restaurant, was right next to our suite. I honestly wished this place was cheaper as we paid around $200/night and they add a nice $500 cleaning fee on top of everything else. I believe this is very expensive for what you get. We had a nice stay, but will probably look elsewhere to stay the next time we visit the islands.

We didn't even leave the resort in the evenings, just relaxed and enjoyed the amazing scenery and relaxation. The only downside to the location is the fact that it is right across from an airstrip- so you get to see a lot of little planes landing and taking off while you are sitting on that back deck. Well, it wasn't really a downside for us since the friends we were with know a ton about small planes so we enjoyed the coming and going. And, you couldn't hear the noise from inside the condo. The condo itself was nice, adequate, nothing fancy. It was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was reasonably well-stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Mike at the front desk and Bo from the adventure outfitters were helpful and ready to make sure we had a great time. Great for families!

I booked a Deluxe King Fireplace Corner Unit at Anacortes Ship Harbor Inn on April 15, 2026 for the…read morenight of August 26, specifically because of its convenient location near the ferry terminal. My reservation, number 100480, was confirmed for two adults at $249 plus tax. The reservation confirmation specifically instructed guests arriving after 10:00 p.m. to call the inn on the day of arrival. I did exactly that while at SeaTac preparing to drive to Anacortes. At approximately 7:44 p.m., I was told that late arrival instructions would not be sent until 9:00 p.m. because the property was busy and full. I simply asked if the instructions could be provided earlier because I was already traveling toward the hotel and wanted to make sure I could access the room I had reserved more than four months earlier. Instead of providing the check in instructions, the situation escalated and the inn canceled my confirmed reservation at approximately 7:59 p.m. on the night of arrival. I received cancellation confirmation 136279 documenting the cancellation. That left my wife and me without our reserved lodging while already traveling. I had to scramble to find another hotel and ultimately booked the Fairfield by Marriott in Burlington for $217.70. The replacement hotel also put us approximately 35 minutes farther away from the Anacortes ferry terminal, creating an unnecessary inconvenience for our ferry travel the following morning. What makes this especially disappointing is that I did not miss a deadline, fail to appear, or ignore the hotel's instructions. I contacted the inn precisely because its own confirmation told late arriving guests to do so. A guest with a confirmed reservation should be able to ask how to access the property after hours without having the reservation canceled that evening. I have traveled extensively and understand that hotels occasionally encounter operational problems. What matters is how those problems are handled. Canceling a confirmed reservation on the night of arrival after the guest follows the property's own late arrival instructions is not an acceptable way to handle the situation. I would not recommend relying on a reservation here when ferry travel or other time sensitive plans depend on having your room available.

The location is great - close to everything in Friday Harbor but not on a street with as much traffic as some others. The customer service is great - just send them a text and you get a response in seconds. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room interior was good - everything looked clean with plenty of toiletries, cozy robes, and a heated bathroom floor. The bathroom in general was dated. We had a non operational jetted tub that had been converted into a duel faucet rain shower. It was rather weird, but it worked. I also really liked the keyless entry, so no worries about losing your key! Now, my one negative. Our room, and I'm assuming all rooms on this side of the building, abut a loading dock and parking lot for an adjacent grocery store. Every morning at 5am, a semi truck, fork lift, and workers unload the truck. In addition to back up safety alarms, truck engines idling, and workers talking, you also hear the constant rumbling of goods being unloaded. This goes on for HOURS.....starting at 5am. The hotel gives you ear plugs and notes that there is no noise ordinance on the island and notes that neighbors can be noisy and the hotel can't do anything about that. I get it...you can't control noisy patrons or neighbors, but the description given doesn't really convey what is actually going on with this side of the building. Constant, very loud noise and alarms for over two hours starting at 5am. All that said, I would stay here again, but I would make sure any room I book has views of the harbor, and not the back side of the hotel.

Our room was Fidalgo, we had a big soaker tub and kitchen area, I loved having two places to watch tv since sometimes one of you can sleep and the other is enjoying vacation insomnia time. ;) Out back, a walk through a parking lot takes you to King's Market which had everything. We did not find the hotel loud, but they offer earplugs just in case. The mattress was great, seriously- firn enough but with a soft topper or something, we both slept so well.

Super close to restaurants, bars, and the town, where parking is difficult (so being able to walk was a big perk!). Only negatives (and they were very minor) were the missing water and coffeemaker in the room, and the difficulty in understanding the instructions for the shower head.

Also, not gonna lie -- accommodations are upscale Best Western level, which again, I have no problem with, but just so ya know, that's 300 greenbacks in high season. Hey, it's an island, I get it, there's not many options; Just throwing it out there. Our Queen Standard room was on the small side, but the bath/shower was perfectly adequate (if a bit dated), as was the A/C, and the bed and bedding was pretty comfortable. The staff too was awesome, cheery and happy to meet any need. We loved the pool and jacuzzi setup, and there's even a little exercise room in the same building. One thing I could have done without were the 5 or so emails I received before check-in, begging me to complete the online check-in form ahead of time, so I could just go right to the room without needing to stop at the office. Didn't work and I still had to physically check in. So yea, that was a pain. And yet? They still get 4 stars. Our one-night stay may have been expensive but it was very comfortable.

I really appreciated that they had free EV chargers for guests, so we could plug in our car after a long day of driving and riding the ferry, at no additional charge. Spectacular. They are centrally located to everything you might want to do in Friday Harbor, so we only had to take our car once, when we went sightseeing around the island. Otherwise, it just stayed parked because we could walk everywhere, which was really nice. Everyone I interacted with during our stay was pleasant and professional. We had a maintenance issue in our room and they were quick to remedy it. I was a little disappointed that our room did not have some kind of fan to move air and the AC only went down to about 67 degrees and the furniture felt a bit...damp, so that is the reason for the 4 stars. I like my room to be cold, crisp, and clean and the one we stayed in just felt a bit...musty. Also, the local lavender farm is closed and the products are now sourced from Whidbey Island, but that was not disclosed to me until I asked, so I might suggest updating the information in the rooms. I was a bit disappointed we couldn't visit the lavender farm on island because it was permanently closed and so the sign in the bathroom kind of set me up for failure. All in all, it was a mostly pleasant stay and I would return the next time we want to visit Friday Harbor.
