I'm really glad that I received a weekend stay as a gift- because if I had spent any money of my own ($65 pet deposit and taxes and $55 ferry ride) I would've been PISSED. What they charge people to stay here is outrageous. First of all- the "cabin" is a glorified motel room. The "fully stocked" kitchen includes 3 forks 2 spoons, 2 coffee cups that are too small for the Keurig, and 1 wine glass. The "kitchen" is terrible. The two burners barely work, and you can't tell what temperature they are on. And the only oven is a toaster oven- with no tray provided. For being out in the middle of nowhere- it's super loud. The hot tub on the deck is SUPER old and loud, and kept me up for both nights. The DVD player doesn't work and the fireplace only worked half of the time. Also- the white towels provided (only provided 2 for a two night stay for 2) were stained. A little bleach would help. The on site restaurant is closed for the season.....which I wasn't aware of until I went to make a reservation. I know it's the off season- but you should treat all of your guests the same. Also- they expect you to keep your pets off of the furniture- even though they charge a pet fee lol. I'm sorry. If I pay for my dog to be here- he's climbing all over the furniture. Oooh, and the ants!!! Ants all over. Which they know about, because there ate also ant traps everywhere. GROSS!!!!! Stay somewhere else........

I loved this place! Rustic and clean...magical and memorable. The view from my place was spectacular. Nice TV and dvd player with about 30 dvds. Board games and jacuzzi with a mini kitchen and toaster oven. There were deer in front of the porch every night! Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed there for two nights to celebrate my birthday. We took advantage of the groupon deal and got a rate on the pond cottage. We read the reviews and wanted more privacy so we paid a little extra for the pond cottage. It was a two bedroom home with all the amenities. Hot tub on the patio and light breakfast in the fridge. The tub on the master bedroom is only big enough for one person. We got no reception while there but we were away to get away so we didn't mind. We didn't eat at the restaurant but we did cook in the fully furnished kitchen. The grounds could use some upkeep but err didn't have any problems with check in and the place was nice and worth it. We will return with our family and children but I think we will only stay in the pond cottage.

We really enjoyed this place, especially the intimate "local" knowledge shared with us by the gracious manager Ron (in the R.V. next to the main office). We stayed in the lodge on a weeknight in March with only one other room being used on the other floor so we didn't hear anything. Had a pleasant chat with them before retiring and again in the morning. It was obvious that people had put a lot of thought into the little things as well as the general decor, etc. The beds were comfortable, the shower had three settings and decent shampoo/conditioner/gel in the dispenser, the goodie basket and carafe of wine were lovely, the gas fireplace was a nice touch. Location was lovely, complete with rabbits and deer and a view (albeit limited) of the harbor. Negatives: Wi-fi was sketchy at best but even cell phone coverage is sketchy all over the island (though I know that's not really related). When roll-away was unfolded it was very difficult to move around it to get to the bathroom. Forgot to mention something which might be significant..... we blew a fuse...twice! just by using the little hairdryer that comes with the room. Don't know if #8 is particularly finicky but....it's good to have directions on how to easily fix this (and it is pretty easy, once you know how) rather than get frustrated and wait for someone to come and then come back again.

Had a very nice short stay here using a Travelzoo deal. While it may be the only place to stay/eat on this side of the island it is right down the road from the Deer Harbor Marina where kayak and whale watching tours leave from. The staff was really friendly and informative and our room was nice and clean. They have ping pong and bocce in the yard as well as a hot tub (I'm not too sure how often any of them are used though). Thumbs up!

The view from room #6 in the lodge.

Hated it! Rude service and the one meal we had in the restaurant was awful. Can't recommend it at all.

They let us check in early which we were so thankful for since we took an earlier ferry to get to the island.

A post self isolating Covid days as things begin to reopen doors again. We booked on line and the entire process from booking through check out was very impressive, clean and friendly. They stayed in contact with me via email for updates on their Covid safe check in process and general information about our short stay. They even created a few very informative and cleaver videos to convey this process. We booked Sweet 1 (example of play on words). It was just perfect for us and had harbor front views. They do have several different room types. They have "Euro" rooms that share a common living area and kitchen, with a number of individual rooms connected that have its own sitting space and bathrooms. This would be good for a group of people that want to connect in the shared common space and then go off to your own rooms. Sweet 1 was full of interesting design elements. The bed linens...OMG awesome! I usually NEVER ever like hotel sheets even if it's the Four Seasons. I love my bamboo sheets which are like sleeping on uber soft 1000 thread count. It's literally all I have in my house. But these bed linens are so nice I found out what they were and purchased two sets on line before even checking out of the hotel. The location is walking distance to the ferry terminal. So if you don't want to take your car it is very easy to get around town on foot to some very good entries and shopping. If you want excellent breakfast go to Rocky Bay next to the theater. Yes, walking distance. However, we loved having our car because we spend most of one day driving completely around the island stopping at all the points of interests we could take in. I highly recommend Island Inn 123!!! Thank you to the entire staff there for being so helpful and kind! Kwan PS; If you take your car you should reserve parking space in the Inn's parking garage. They don't have a lot of spaces but if you reserve one you are guaranteed parking when you want it.

Location cannot be beat. It is literally steps from the harbor, and you can step right off of your boat, the ferry or the seaplane. Check-in and quick and easy. I stayed in Sweet 1 which is the 1st room up the stairs. So convenient to going everywhere. Room is super spacious and everything was comfortable. Nice touch with the welcome fruit bowl. Bath was also spacious and toiletries were well-stocked and great quality (all Malin+Goetz!). Super close to restaurants, bars, and the town, where parking is difficult (so being able to walk was a big perk!). Only negatives (and they were very minor) were the missing water and coffeemaker in the room, and the difficulty in understanding the instructions for the shower head.

The location is great - close to everything in Friday Harbor but not on a street with as much traffic as some others. The customer service is great - just send them a text and you get a response in seconds. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room interior was good - everything looked clean with plenty of toiletries, cozy robes, and a heated bathroom floor. The bathroom in general was dated. We had a non operational jetted tub that had been converted into a duel faucet rain shower. It was rather weird, but it worked. I also really liked the keyless entry, so no worries about losing your key! Now, my one negative. Our room, and I'm assuming all rooms on this side of the building, abut a loading dock and parking lot for an adjacent grocery store. Every morning at 5am, a semi truck, fork lift, and workers unload the truck. In addition to back up safety alarms, truck engines idling, and workers talking, you also hear the constant rumbling of goods being unloaded. This goes on for HOURS.....starting at 5am. The hotel gives you ear plugs and notes that there is no noise ordinance on the island and notes that neighbors can be noisy and the hotel can't do anything about that. I get it...you can't control noisy patrons or neighbors, but the description given doesn't really convey what is actually going on with this side of the building. Constant, very loud noise and alarms for over two hours starting at 5am. All that said, I would stay here again, but I would make sure any room I book has views of the harbor, and not the back side of the hotel.

We did not find the hotel loud, but they offer earplugs just in case. The mattress was great, seriously- firn enough but with a soft topper or something, we both slept so well.

I think I offended the hostess and waitress after having trouble with their "ring bell for service" bell. We waited a short time in the small entrance and noticed the bell.... Several light taps produced no sound and a more unreserved tap sounded like a fire alarm. The hostess and waitress arrived wide-eyed and I apologized and tried to make light of the awkward meeting... they weren't having it. We were there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We stated that in our reservation and were given a half hearted "happy anniversary" after being seated in the middle of the dining room, without any view. Several couples after us were seated with views to the water. It was our first time there and we didn't know to ask... In any case, we loved the food when we finally got it - but it took over an hour and a half after ordering to receive our meal. The waitress, Countnee (name on receipt), couldn't have been less interested in serving us. I guess she never got over the bell incident??? She seemed overly nice to others... even comping a bottle of wine for the couple next to us. We didn't even get the short spiel about how the strawberries in the sorbet were grown in their garden.... she told other people, we heard her- but she couldn't be bothered to take the time with us. We spent a lot of money on what could have been an amazing celebratory dinner for our anniversary had the service been even a little better. Get over yourself and have a little fun. The hostess was wearing jeans, this shouldn't have had such a pretentious, snooty vibe. We had friends recommend dinner here and we were disappointed, will never be back.
