I decided to go to this salon because I moved and it's closer than my old salon. Unfortunately that was a mistake. I thought it may be a good place based on the reviews. When I got there I waited fifteen minutes and was then seated in a chair to wait another 5-10 minutes. I requested a no chip and polish change on my feet. They took FOREVER. The salon seemed kinda dirty and she didn't soak my nails before pushing back my cuticle and trimming them. My " no-chip" chipped in less than a week on multiple nails. I wouldn't recommend going there. It may be a few bucks cheaper, but it's worth it to go someplace where they will do a quality job and spend the extra money. read more

This salon is taking the pandemic seriously and has put so many measures in place to keep staff and customers safe. It's my favorite nail salon! They also have brand new pedicure chairs (very comfy and great massage options!) and use disposable bags in the foot bath area for every customer so things stay sanitary. I've come here twice so far and both times my nails were pretty much destroyed within 2 days of getting them done, BUT... Both times it was my own damn fault. The second time I had drank WAY too much chai tea while getting my nails done and the caffeine really started to set things in motion in the digestive department right as my nails were being painted. I have had two amazing experiences here and today I had a very disappointing one. I came in and brought a picture of what I wanted. I was assured that they could do it. What they did was VERY different from what I asked for. Then I was told they couldn't do what I wanted. What a bummer! They said they would fix it but I didn't have another 30 minutes to start over completely. I like doing the gel manicure, but gel is really bad for my nails so I just get regular polish. The staff here is very pleasant and the salon is pretty spacious. I came here A week ago with my friend and we both got deluxe pedicures and dip manicures. My dip manicure is beautiful but I was annoyed that they charge more for taking off my previous dip manicure... no place else I've been to does that. Why would you charge me to take my manicure off if I'm paying you for a another and willing to tip well for the time that takes? My pedicures however is already completely chipped off 5 toes (and I work full time so I've been wearing mostly closed toed shoes) and when the salon offered to do our pedi's they started my friend a 1/2 hour before mine since there wasn't two techs available (which nobody told us about) so we were finished about an hour apart... We were also concerned about sanitation due to the pedicure bowls not being wrapped in plastic and the tools used were not individually wrapped. Yikes! Something has changed in the last few months. The service is great as always, hence the two stars. I came here for a no-chip manicure 5 days ago and about two or three days after I felt the tops of my nail polish getting caught in my hair and clothes which is usually a sign of chipping and wearing away and today four of them peeled away. It was so easy to peel them that I thought they had forgotten to put the bonding thing altogether. I hope they fix how they're applying nail polish because it's unacceptable for them to completely peel off after 5 days! Went in with four of us today, youngest is two. We were greeted and welcomed immediately. A few others were in pedi chairs, but we were accommodated quickly. One in our group had a pedi, two of us had manis, and the two year old just had a quick polish. For just five bucks, they pampered little bit! Pink and yellow nails, flowers, sparkles, the works. My response? "whatever you think". He's in the middle of brushing nail #8 with what is obviously just clear polish and he says "that will be $2 extra". Is it the $2, added to an already premium level service? Obviously not. It's the failure to tell me until it was too late to say "no, regular seal coat will be fine" and give me the actual choice. I'm feeling ripped off and disrespected. I've been going to this nail salon since I returned home in November 2016. The service has been amazing. I appreciate the variety of nail techniques they provide. I would get shellac nails but it did not last for the two weeks. So, two of the manicurist introduced me to the dipping powder. They would dip my nails in the powder and then apply the gel color. This technique not only allowed the color to last longer...but it also strengthened my nails. Now, I go monthly to get my nails done using this technique. Recently, the salon has more colors for the dipping powder. It's totally worth it! read more

Yaaaaaaaas, honey. I needed the Deluxe Pedicure on Friday. It'd been a crappy week and your girl Amber needed to be pampered. And pampered I was. The shop is clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the tv is at an expectable volume level. The Deluxe Pedicure is like the regular pedicure but, well, deluxe. Just all sorts of exfoliation, mud, oil, hot stone massage and warm towels around my calfs too. Yaaaaaas. A few days later and my polish is still fresh looking and intact. Even though I use the same nail products at home, the pedicurist just does it better. The only problem now is that now that I've gone deluxe, I just don't want to go back to the regular pedicure! read more

Eight days ago I wandered in for a mani/pedi and got great results for just $40. The manicure looked good a week later! The pedi is still perfect, so it was money well spent to get my tootsies looking all pampered in time for my *cough* twenty year high school reunion (shut up - we look better now than we did as those oblong-haircut 80s dorks). One thing I noticed immediately was the lack of odor - they've got good air purification units keeping the place breathable. The place was clean and the people were not hasty. Last week I started a Talk thread, asking whether it was common for nail places to use files that weren't factory-fresh. Well, this is one of those cheap places that re-uses certain equipment. I'd be willing to head back for services based on the gentleness of the people and the overall cleanliness of the place, but I'll bring my own disposable files. I used to live literally across the street from this place, and that's what first led me to walk in and get an eyebrow wax-convenience. I didn't need an appointment, and they did an excellent job--didn't just wax but also shaped, trimmed, and plucked stray hairs. All for $8! I was impressed and continue to return here for eyebrow waxes even though I moved further away. I also went here with my sisters for mani-pedis before a wedding. Very lovely results, close attention paid to us, and the foot massage is included and a very nice touch! The staff are friendly and polite, and do a wonderful job. I believe pedicures are only $28 here, and I honestly don't recall how much a manicure costs but in general their prices are lower than the local competition. I have never needed an appointment; usually the place is almost empty (which I hope changes, since they deserve more business!). However, if you are paying by credit card they request that you tip in cash if at all possible. So keep that in mind--I have been caught off guard by that policy before. After I moved back to Naperville, my fave nail salon had changed ownership and became what it is today - orchid nail. It's still a pretty good salon but just not the best. I did not really enjoy my pedicures here. The foot massage was lacking a massage- all I got was a slathering of lotion with a light rub. I do think that the hot stone pedicure is a nice feature they offer for an additional fee. I used to get my no-chip manicures here and have to say that they were amazingggg. All of my stars go to Andy. He is a perfectionist and will not let u leave that chair until ur nails are flawless. I was drawn in by the $20 pedicure sign in the window. Polish selection-both traditional and gel-was huge and all were fresh new colors and bottles. Massage chair and pedicure tub were immaculate and very cozy-including a hook for my purse and arm rests with cup holders. Sometimes it's in the details!! Opted for standard pedicure, which included a hot stone massage of my lower legs and feet-HEAVENLY!! A no-chip mani completed my visit. Flat screen TVs entertained me while I was pampered. A great local nail salon, but for whatever reason it seems like they charge me a different amount every time I come. I'm not sure if each manicurist has different rates, or if there's just a general air of confusion, but, yeah. Quality of service can be hit or miss as you get more or less skilled people working on you. I'd love to figure out how I can just steal one of the chairs they have you sit in when you're getting a pedicure, as the massagers they have are absolutely incredible. I went there for a few months so i brought my daughter who lived in California with me. She was leaving for la and went in the dat before. Within two days the polish was coming off and within a week gone. She sent pictures and i called the owner who said for her to come in to get it fixed. Since she was in california it was impossible so the owner said shell do it free next time shes in town... so she came in and the owner only gave her $15 off... then the same thing happened and this time she was able to come in. The owner acted like she did something wrong and told her she chose the wrong nail polish..... it was so rude. Great place, I go to Benedictine University and was early one day so I decided to get a pedicure. They accommodated me just walking in, no appointment or anything. I got a mid level pedicure, it was very relaxing. The lady who took care of my feet was good, she was very through and attentive. The price was fine, nothing special. I should say "methinks not anymore!" I've been going to Orchard nails for at least 3 years now. It was always a wonderful experience. In the past 6 months or so it has been a horrid! I can normally go in and wait a few minutes for an appointment (usually a mani/pedi and sometimes waxing) but I can't even get in to see Jenny. Apparently she is the only one working there and she stated it was because business is bad. Well it's no wonder business is bad when she seems to pick and choose who she wants to service! For Father's Day, I got my husband a gift certificate for a mani/pedi that was $42 so not a small amount of money and it had a 2 1/2 month expiration date (which is illegal in IL, needs to be valid for 5 years at least). He went to use it 3 different times and she just said she couldn't see him. Instead of just saying that she doesn't service men, she would just give us the run around. I just went in there this morning, she opens at 9:30 and I waited 10 minutes for her to show up along with another woman and told me that she can't see me. The other woman needed waxing, I needed a mani/pedi and she said no.There was no one else there! I don't understand what's going on there but it's ridiculous. I'm a great tipper for mani/pedi, usually about $15 if I like the job which seems to me to be over the top! It's unfortunate and sad that this business has taken such a turn.I"m almost tempted to call the Village of Lisle Business group about this. I'll be going elsewhere from now on. read more

When I walked in I was greeted promptly and the girl was nice. First complaint - she didn't ask me to wash after cleaning my cuticles and massaging my hands with lotion. I asked her if this would effect the wear of the polish. She told me no then proceeded to speak in another language to girl next to us.
