Ord spa is right in the downtown area a few blocks away from the courthouse and city hall in little China Town. Went here last summer but feel inclined to post a review. If I remember correctly, it's roughly $40-$50 dollars for a 45 min - 60 min massage. Facility was clean but the walls and curtains are thin, so if another client is being chatty you'll hear everything they say and it might ruin the ambiance a bit. Card readers are finicky, so cash might be a little bit better of an option. My host was Jennifer, she was nice but there was a language barrier so sometimes you'll ask for more pressure or etc and you'll get the opposite. This massage place is great in terms of quality! I'd say one of the best place in LA. I got 90 min massage for 60 bucks and left 20 percent tip. After I left the tip my massage woman started yelling in Chinese and I understood that she wasn't happy with my tips. It was disappointing cause I had great experience the entire 90 minutes. Still don't understand why she was so upset about 20 percent tips! How much did she expect me to leave her?! Worst massage I have ever experienced, no pressure whatsoever. My husband experienced the same thing. We were ready for the massage to be over because it just got annoying, they were just rubbing the same spot over and over again with no pressure. She used her elbows on my back and I woke up bruised up. They make you pay the tip upfront, so that should tell you how bad of a job they are going to do because the tip is guaranteed. Honestly, it could have been better. I came on a week night. This was my second time coming to this place (first time was way better) and the experience was pretty disappointing to say the least and also very similar to the other negative reviews. I was greeted (or not?) by the lady at the front, who had the look on her face of someone who didn't want to be bothered. Second, I was never asked what kind of massage I wanted, nor how long. She just blurted out, "40 for 60", basically $40 for an hour long body massage. So that was kind of awkward and I just rolled with it. Third, she never asked me how hard I wanted the pressure to be. You know, "soft", "medium", or "hard". Look, I get that there isn't much to say during massages and the staff doesn't speak english that well. I'm not looking for a conversation, but these are very basic phrases that I think should be taught and that they should already know. Fourth, the pressure was inconsistent. It started off pretty decent when she was massaging my back and shoulders, but when she got to my thighs, specifically inner thighs, it was like someone was just rubbing lotion on me. Then randomly towards the end when she was massaging my arms and hands, the pressure was hard again. I kind of regret giving a 25% tip, because it was not deserved, but I didn't want to get that look, where she thinks she's entitled to a tip, as oppose to she earned it. Very frustrating. If the owner is taking the money from the masseuses and not giving them a cut that is disgusting. My mother came in and after her service the masseuse said the tip wasn't enough because the price of the service went to the owners and she only got to keep the tip. This place had a warm and friendly environment. We got a 30 minute body massage, and it was fanatstic. They used oils and hot stones to alleviate my pains on my lower back. Would definitely come back again and recommend to my friends. read more

Look man. I try hard not to give poor reviews. I just want people to know what's reAlly up at this facility. It's not an extremely good massage. Therapist kind of gos thru the motions a little. Let's you leave ten minutes earlier too. While leaving they insisted I give them a higher tip too. Imagine that lol. Won't be coming back. Sorry guys. I know everyone gives them five but really.... let's be realistic. Let's give fives to places that really deserve fives. This was the most amazing experience ever ever. I had the full body massage and feet massage and it was the best. Went in and was greated by Eli (front desk clerk) and her personality was so envited she was great and professional. Then here come the service. If I could describe this experience in one word. I've been to this establishment twice and on my recent visit yesterday, things were already not looking good as I strolled in through the sliding door. I was greeted by one of the masseuses working that day with nonchalant and after telling her I wanted a one hour massage I asked if she will be helping me she answered no and yelled for her co-worker to come out in mandarin. A woman came out from the first room who seemed exhausted and they started to bicker over who should give me the massage. I told them both that if they're tired I can always leave and come back next time. The first lady then gave me a look and volunteered. After I paid $40 I was told to go to the second room. When she came in after I was ready and lying on the table she did not ask if I wanted my massage to be hard or soft. At first it was soothing and relaxing but then I noticed toward the second half of the hour that she was only using one hand to do the same light circular motion on my upper leg over and over that wasn't doing anything for my muscles. She repeated this process onto my other leg and this went on for a long time until I started feeling frustrated and tense. After the massage was over I was never offered any water. When I thanked my masseuse and handed her tip and left I overheard her complaining in Mandarin to her colleague sitting on the chair how little it was. This place deserves ALL of these stars. I don't think I've ever experienced a massage this amazing, seriously...really. Alice did my massage and the whole time I laid there thinking "why the hell didn't I get the 90min massage?!?" Because of that, I decided to just schedule a second visit two days later... I know, I had to. I was having insane lower back pains and haven't had a massage in a while so I was desperate and just picked a rando place that was walking distance from my house. I guess it was my lucky day because my bod was in heaven!! She did everything right, it's like she knew what was ailing me this whole time! After coming here, I feel so relaxed and like I can just fall asleep and all my aches and pains have vanished. She even did a great job on my quads which are always so uncomfortable!!! To top it off, the hour massage is only $40, can you believe it?!! Ugh, I can't wait for my second appointment and next time I'm def doing 90mins. You guys, I'm not joking, come here. Ask for Alice. Called 30 minutes ago to get a massage for two and the lady I spoke to said they could only accommodate one person at the time I wanted to come in. When I arrived, she asked me if I wanted a massage for two. Thinking they could now take two people, I called my sister who was waiting for me in the car. Upon re-entering (literally a minute later) she waved her hands in a "no" gesture, saying she could only take one person. My sister didn't really mind it since I desperately needed a massage because of lower back pain, so she returned to the car. After I picked out my service, the lady at the desk then told me I had to pay before going in for my massage. Uhhh what?! I told her I also wanted to tip on my card AFTER my massage but she insisted that I couldn't. Her English was broken -- OK -- but I'm almost sure her telling me "NOW" meant that I had to pay for my massage upfront. No, thank you!
