I found Sonya through Yelp almost 6 months ago! I have been going to her on a monthly basis to get my 1 hour of just pure bliss, relaxed, and one of the best massages I have ever had. Sonya has a high attention to detail, is very aware of your body and how tense it is, she will always ask before applying any more pressure than needed. She will also friendly remind you depending how intense that knot was to take it easy and may get sore. Every session I find myself super relaxed and ever since she moved her booth to a quieter area, I definitely drift off along with the soothing music she plays. One major point I love going to Sonya is cause the Thai massage involves not only typically techniques but she also stretches you where needed. Sonya is just what I needed after overworking on the computer for weeks and months. She distinguishes herself from your average masseuse because she can feel where your tensions are and then uses her hands, elbows, forearms and even feet (standing on you while holding onto rails in the ceiling) to deep tissue work on the tight spots and get release. After the deep tissue work I ask for some Swedish style to smooth out the intensity. She cares that her clients leave in better condition than they came in. Needed a massage with stretching, looked up Thai massage, got top 3 places from yelp and asked my wife to call them to set the soonest appointment possible. That was almost a year ago and I am glad that Sonya had the soonest appointment possible! Sonya does an exceptional job and is very conscientious through out the massage. I only get a deep tissue thai massage with Ashiatsu (walking on back). I have had hundreds of massages and this is an excellent professional massage. I am a repeat client. Response for appointments is prompt, good location right on the tollway, prices are normal, and the facility is in a multi-station beauty salon. The room is clean and mostly quiet but there is some noise from the salon. Never enough to bother me. She will follow your lead and chat or let you rest/sleep. She is very talented and intuitive and understands the interconnected of the body and the root cause of muscle tension. She combined Thai and deep tissue and it was wonderful. I had been having shoulder pain with large knots. Sonya has done a great job of working out the knots with a technique new to me. She uses her elbows and the palms of her hands. It has worked wonders on my shoulder stress/pain. I also think the Thai stretching has helped my flexibility. Excellent massage. I've had a 1.5 hour session & a 2 hour long session & I will certainly be a repeat client. Sonya is very knowledgeable in trigger points, pace, focus & stretching in the various angles/positions to get various muscle strands to relax.
