But first, let's get into pricing. their fee for using credit/debit is diabolical - it's like a 7$ up charge so be sure to bring cash. they do have an ATM inside if you wanna do that, I believe it's like $3 and some change. pricing is pretty fair compared to competitors. the facility is suuuuper clean, quiet and brings a sense of tranquility. there's solo rooms or ones with the curtain separating customers. i booked a deep tissue + Swedish massage combo/hr for 7p. i was extremely tight is some spots so the massage felt a bit tense at times. i did have to ask for less pressure twice. it was a great massage and i would go back again, but i did feel my experience was cut short. we arrived right at 7p, paid, waited a min or two, used the restroom and then went to our rooms - so naturally we started a little after our reservation. upon completion i gathered my things and noticed it was about 5mins before 8p. now - im not here to clock everything, but it is a timed service, soooo, you kinda want to to get your monies worth! i ended up having a seat in the waiting room and waited for my partner to wrap up who started at the same time i did. service was friendly and accommodating. parking is a hassle as it's located on the corner of a busy street. read more

I've been going to Swan Day Spa for almost 3 years now, averaging 1-3 visits a month since I first discovered them. I can't believe it took me this long to finally write a review! Before I discovered this place, I must gone to almost every massage parlor, spa, and wellness center in LA. I found swan day spa and never looked back. My massages here make me feel better than my chiropractic sessions. So much so that I stopped visiting my chiropractor lol. All the therapist are professionals! Easy to communicate what you want and you're always asked where your body tension is before your session. I probably had to ask about pressure preference once- a long time ago and never had to ask again. The flow of the massage is great and the pressure from my experience is consistent. In the past, when I went to other spas, it seemed like I always had to constantly ask for more or less pressure depending on where I was being touched. Not here, I feel that I can let my guard down and just enjoy my massage without saying a word. The therapist here are highly aware and mindful of your needs. Massage therapists that care and really affordable prices! They prefer cash, so try to bring that if you can. Private parking is only three spots, so don't depend on it. But it is really nice if you luck out and it's not occupied. The Swedish massage was perfect. The therapist asked for my pressure preference level and told me to please let her know at any point if I needed her to go softer or harder. She also asked if there was anywhere in particular I was sore, and actually took that into account during her service and focused more on those areas. I know that seems like it should be a given at a massage place, but a lot of the similarly priced places don't put as much effort into that. They also did the scalp and face massage, which are always my favorite parts. I felt her get out so many knots in my body in general, including a lot that I didn't even know were there. Also, although I didn't get the 100% Thai or half and half Thai option, she still did a bit of the cool stretching movements towards the end. It really helps transition you from relaxed and on the bed mode, into ready to leave mode. Instead of that slightly dazed feeling where you wish you could just stay resting on the bed. I went in with a sad mood, but I came out feeling happy and refreshed and energized somehow. And they even have a punch card! I'll be back. I chose the Swedish one because I'm not fond of the stretching that some Thai massage therapists will do and was hoping for more of a relaxing massage with a bit of pressure. Thanks to Yelpers, I was able to find this place! I was able to make an appointment on the same day. For the price, this place is definitely worth it. I got the deep tissue with aromatherapy oil. They have a lot of different scents that you can choose from. I chose tea tree. I arrived a little earlier and they were able to accommodate me. There's only three spots in their parking lot so I would recommend going a little earlier to find parking on the street, if needed. I was taken to an individual room. My masseuse was Mint. I'm surprised at how thorough she was overall. She really knew what she was doing, getting all the pressure points throughout the body. I let her know I was feeling stressed and needed to relieve the knots in my neck and shoulder. She didn't speak English, but seems like she understood.. lol . Anyways, wish she was able to get more knots on my shoulder but I did feel relaxed and my body felt relaxed! I would def recommend this spot and come back! Plus they give you a stamp card. I had such an incredible Thai- Swedish massage ( I'm typically a hard client to massage because my back is so tight/ ticklish ) But my maseusse was so good!! Her name is ( Cy?) She used pressure to get all the knots out but was also gentle and stretched me out in the best ways possible. I would not recommend this place at all. Came here with my girlfriend and we both had very weird experiences. I asked for a full body massage and only had my back and quads massaged. The last 15 minutes of this was a weird head massage where the masseuse used her fingers nails aggressively on my scalp. My girlfriends masseuse answered a phone call in the middle of the session. Which was put on speaker phone. The client was asking about table showers, if the masseuses were young girls or old, and then finished the call by calling her babe. Very dissapointing because my girlfriend is a regular here and goes at least once a month. We've both had a stressful week and decided treat ourselves to a nice relaxing massage. (Total fee $120 includes tip) We got to the appointment around 7:05 (originally booked at 7). We get in and the massues's come in around 7:15. Immediately they put a guy (another regular known to snore) next to our room. My girlfriends massues tells her that this guy comes in all the time, and we're wondering why the F did you guys put him next to our room?? Throughout the whole massage our massues are giggling and the guy is snoring like he's been possessed. I'm getting annoyed. The massage ends promptly at 8 (basically 45 min massage). The massues slaps me loudly on the back and laughs (you're done). I walk out of the room and bring it up to the front desk. He shrugs and says sorry there's nothing I can do. I ask if we can get a discount the next time we come and he smugly smiles and says no. I hand over a tip for the ladIes and dejectedly walk out. Overall, underwhelming experience. Good prices but I think you could find better options for similar prices. Came with 3 of my girlfriends on a Sunday evening. We found it on yelp, called a few days ahead and were able to book one couples massage and 2 individual massages. It doesn't look great on the outside, don't expect much on the inside either. There is a small parking lot with 4-5 spots available. We were greeted nicely when we walked in, the guy at the counter was warm and accommodating. The waiting area is nothing special. The front door is quite thin so you can hear all the street sounds outside which is not so relaxing. We used the restroom and then waited a few minutes for our massage. We all opted for the $40 combo Swedish and Thai massages. I added on the $10 Thai herbal ball. I was told to change into the Thai pants which were super loose and there was no way to hold the pants up. There was a really thin sheet to cover myself up with. My masseuse was female, she was nice enough I guess. I think she asked me in the beginning if there were any areas to focus on but I wasn't entirely sure what she was she was saying so I just said no. She started with the Swedish portion of the massage. Her hands were cold and the oil was not warmed either. I was lightly rubbed with this cold oil on my back with her cold hands for what felt like maybe 20 minutes? It was not pleasant and did not feel like a massage. It was very light pressure but I guess I could've said something. Then she put a hot towel on my back to rub off the oil. This left me even colder as the wetness evaporated off my skin lol. The Thai herbal ball came next at this point. I think she left the room like 4 times to go to the heater outside to get the ball. I could hear it ding every time it was ready. The ball was used as a compress on my back. It was extremely hot at first and burned me on my lower back. I reflexively pulled away from it. She was then more conscious of it being really hot and took her time with it. It felt a little better once it was the right temperature but still didn't feel as awesome as I expected. After this, I think there was some leg and arm massage. She felt how ice cold my feet were and turned on the heater which gloriously warmed the bed up!! What?! Why was this not on from the beginning :( Then she covered me with a soft fluffy blanket and this was the first time I was finally relaxed...for the last 20 minutes :( There was some facial and scalp massage also. I would skip the facial portion. It felt weird because I don't think she washed her hands after massaging my body. I also still had makeup on so it was just being smeared around on my face. Again, I probably should've said something but it was over before I could even say anything. We finished up with the Thai portion of the massage which felt shorter. If you've never experienced a Thai massage before, it's like you're being stretched in different directions. They do use quite a bit of force so definitely let them know if you have any injuries whatsoever. This part was a little more enjoyable and probably everyone's favorite part. After finishing up, we were offered hot roasted green tea in the waiting area which was nice. We all paid cash for the combo price and tipped between $15-20. We were given a stamp card (1 free massage after 10 stamps). Overall, I wouldn't come back. It wasn't a relaxing experience for me. It was cold and you could literally hear everything happening in that place. If you do go, ask them to heat up the bed for you and maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did! Aaaaah. I came home a short while ago from Swan Day Spa, where I tried the combination Thai/Swedish massage for the first time. When you arrive, you are asked to change into slippers (leaving your shoes at the door). Then you are led to one of the massage stations, where you change into a pair of pants and lie face down on the massage table. And that's where the massage comes in! Let me just say that I sorely needed the massage, particularly in my upper back, neck, and shoulders. (In fact, I almost went with the Deep Tissue massage, which focuses on those areas). However, I'm glad I chose the combo because it is a full body massage. I was able to focus entirely on the massage, without my mind wandering off into twenty directions (as is my wont). They play soothing music in the background, and it's a very dim room, which help to provide a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. The massage itself was wonderful. She definitely worked on some very tight knots! I also have a high tolerance for discomfort. In my past experience with massages in general, the masseurs tended to apply too little pressure. That was NOT the case here! My masseuse really worked on my muscles. My neck and upper back in particular feel SO much better now. AND they gave me tea and water afterwards. Been coming here for a few years. Great service and friendly staff. Only caveat is that if you want complete quiet during your visit, this may not be the ideal place for you. Its not loud or distracting but you will hear people lightly talking occasionally in the hallway outside of your booth.
