She truly went above and beyond to help us secure our reservation. We had previously placed a hold on a stay, but when Jemma was unable to locate the actual reservation, she didn't simply tell us there was nothing she could do. Instead, she took the extra step of reaching out to her supervisor to get approval to honor the stay we had put on hold. She worked diligently to get everything resolved and secure our reservation. We were also traveling with a pet, which added another layer of coordination and work, and Jemma handled everything with patience and professionalism. She even followed up by email with our reservation confirmation, making sure we had everything we needed. I was extremely impressed by her courtesy, professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine willingness to help. It's employees like Jemma who make a customer feel valued and appreciated. Bestway was the only company I found that combined all those countries into one sensible and reasonably-priced itinerary. Bestway Tours and Safari arranged all hotels, flights, ground transportation and other details. Bestway's agents spoke excellent English, promptly responded to all my questions and were always available by phone and email. With Bestway's help, this otherwise-complex journey felt like a magic carpet ride: all I had to do was step out of my luxury hotel and greet my friendly guide, who then handed me a cool bottle of water, settled me into a comfortable seat and whisked me from one amazing adventure after another. Bestway arranged for me to have a different local guide in each country. Each guide was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, reliable and punctual. The guides really listened to my particular interests and then tailored the experiences to my preferences even when that involved lingering longer than originally planned at museums, mosques and mountains. I would highly recommend Bestway's Arab Sheikhdom tour to everyone who is looking for new lands to explore and has an interest in the Gulf States' amazing architecture, delicious food, ancient culture and magnificent deserts. The tour was busy but not exhausting. The itinerary was appropriate for nearly all adult ages. Anyone with reasonable stamina and mobility should be just fine.

When I signed up and paid a deposit the trip was for July 17 according to their website: "Tour Name Budapest, the Baltic States, and Poland Tour Date (MM/DD/YYYY) Jul 17, 2026 Name (first/middle/last) as it appears in your passport Susan Pease Room Type Requested Single room Current Citizenship United States" After I paid the deposit I was informed that was the wrong date, the tour actually started July 23: "First of all, I see you have signed up for the July 17, 2026 departure of our Budapest, the Baltic States & Poland tour. However, when I went to look in our system at the dates for this tour, it seems our system experienced an error, and the dates and prices on our website were actually incorrect. Our sincere apologies for this error, and we hope it does not inconvenience you at all! The actual departure date in July for this tour is July 23, 2026." 2. I told Bestway I was doing a genealogy tour after this tour and I was offered help booking things: "If you would like any assistance with booking flights, pre- or post-tour nights, etc., we are happy to help out. For your Poland add on, can you kindly confirm if you would like us to assist with any additional services, and if so, which ones? We can assist with accommodations, activities, transfers, flights, etc. For example, we could assist with services along the following lines, if desired: Extra nights in Tallinn Transfer from Tallinn to Vilnius Nights and activities in Vilnius Transfer and flights to Poland Touring activities, accommodation and transfers in Poland" When I asked for help with the bookings I was told they wouldn't help me. 3. When I paid the remainder of the cost - was told a mistake was made even though I specifically told them I was paying in US dollars. The fee had to be recalculated. "You mentioned you will be paying in USD. If you look at the receipt attached here, which also should have been sent through to your email, it seems you were passed on the CAD payment link instead of the USD payment link, and a deposit of CAD$ 500 has been run through instead. Future payments can all be in USD." All of these communications were with Mahmood Poonja and Kierra Jones. 4. When I arrived in Budapest I was not informed by Bestway that the tour would be run by Kompass. A heads up would have been helpful. When I asked for a contact person I was sent, via WhatsApp, to Anja Simic. She sent me to Emese Markgraf. She sent me to Norbert - so it took me 3 people to finally get to the person that was leading the group so I could find out where and what time to meet. This is a total lack of communication. Unfortunately the itinerary didn't include museums, except for Auschwitz. The tour was basically "here's the churches & museums & interesting places - go on your own". The only excursion included was Auschwitz. The rest of the sightseeing was a driving tour (stuff to look at) and walking tour (here's a bunch of stuff you can see on your own). Bestway should have flown us from Budapest to Krakow and Warsaw to Vilnius. Instead we spent 7-8 hours in a van on 2 different days.

I am still overseas, in China, as of the time of writing this review. We just barely finished our 6 day tour two days ago. I couldn't find the Tian Bao Travel Agency page for my local establishment, so instead I'm writing out my thoughts for this very same unethical company in a different location. As other reviewers have mentioned, throughout the duration of the tour, the tour guide takes you to many places to buy overpriced tea, pearls, jade, and silk goods. You may think that you have the restraint to not purchase items that you didn't even intend to buy in the first place, but the unassuming tourist can easily fall prey to their pushy ways and sweet talk. The tour guide and his accomplices have very practiced mouths and know exactly what to say to encourage heavy spending. They play upon your psychological weaknesses. Each day, a new salesperson native to the city you are visiting "fattens" you up (so to speak) about a product famous to that city. This benefit and that benefit (for health products like tea) or how husbands should spoil their wives (for jade and pearls) or Chinese people really value health and spending now is better than it being too late (traditional Chinese herbs). My family and I all agreed that we wouldn't buy jewelry or silk because we have plenty and are in no need, but the aggressive salespeople at these stores and the "buttering up" resulted in thousands of dollars spent. When we attempted to say no and fend off certain salespeople, they persisted and wouldn't relent and said things along the lines of "health being number one" or "ignoring health now could cause regret later" while knowingly selling us products marked up by several times. My dad would reluctantly agree just to leave without being rude. The tour guide and these city natives would pretend to be our friends and say that they'll try to fetch us the best price. In retrospect, they have so many customers, it must be something they say to everyone. The kicker of it all is the scam on the last day. We were sold fake items at a "lower" price on the pretense of being friends and being Chinese (and not foreigners).
