We couldn't be more pleased with the work Oregon Flooring did on repairing our kitchen floors. They were very responsive to our needs and met with us several times on exactly what we needed done. We had some water damage to our kitchen area, but we didn't want to redo our entire wood flooring so we found a close match to our original floor and had the remove and replace with new flooring and they did a great job!!! We contacted several flooring and general contractors and we found them to be more willing to take on the project to repair vs. replace the entire floor. This gave us confidence in hiring the again if we decide to replace all flooring. This was a short term fix so we can close up the existing damage area and once we complete our insurance coverage we will rehire them to complete the entire floor. I needed new flooring installed in a small bathroom Sergio answered and was very responsive i had a number of tiles left over from a master bathroom remodel but needed more . i asked the soonest they could do the work and they said the following Saturday they arrived right on time and started immediately they stopped to ask me which baseboard i wanted and had samples to show me they explained the value of each . U can be the judge! We have a big kitchen rennovation project n decided to change out carpets of old dining n living rooms. Replace w matching red oak hardwood floor to existing kitchen floor, sand n stain all new n old floor together. Disappointed w results but done deal! PROS- 1) Easy to communicate, response quickly w YES, not much questions. 2) Punctual on arrival n leave time. 3) Willing to work on Thanksgiving morning (3 hrs) so our project will not get hold up. 4) Head down focus on work n when we ask if they would help us remove some drywall for $300, they r willing to. CONS - 1) Hardwood that they ordered seems to be of less quality w more dark grain. Some looks molded after stain. See pic. 2) I request if the would install esp dark pieces (when come across) closer to wall but they managed to install all odd pieces in the middle of rooms n hallways. Most obvious! 3) There r some exceptionally white (as if wrong type of wood) installed. They refused to fix this unless I pay extra $400 to correct their mistakes. See pic. 4) We moved baby grand piano into the room, closed the door n put towel in the crack to protect piano. I walked into their mid day, french doors r wide open while sanding cos they wanted to put their machine in that room. My piano is infused w cloud sawdust! How to safe my piano? 5) They ask half in cash n half in check! So when floors r done there isn't anything we can do. We have to move out of the house for 5 days til completion. I cannot recommend this company enough! I called in a panic after removing the carpet in our newly purchased 1930s home and discovering the floors were in terrible condition when we were hoping to move in shortly. They patiently explained the process for refinishing floors and juggled their schedule to accommodate our tight timeline. Do not hire- very flaky and unprofessional. My husband found this company based on Yelp reviews. We agreed to their price and they showed up to do the job (LVP on stairs). We woke our baby up early and prepared for them. They started setting up. They asked if they could cut in our garage and we expressed very politely that we didn't prefer that. We had a carpet guy coming that day and he needed that area. It was not forecasted to rain. They kept saying they were afraid of rain. I said they could set up on our large covered front porch which other contractors have done or we could get large tents for them to make them happy. They started packing up without saying anything and then told us they were "uncomfortable" working because they were afraid I would get upset if they created dust. They completely fabricated that. I never once said I was upset about dust. Again I explained the carpet installer situation and we offered them $300 extra. They just kept repeating they were uncomfortable. We think they had another job. We even called and politely asked them to come back as we needed to get the stairs done before company and they said "we will pass". He assured me they'd reschedule and he would text that night. NO TEXT OR CALL AFTER A WEEK. They put us out and never apologized. We have hired dozens of contractors and never had a single issue. Ever. I would not trust them to do a job as they are not honest and very unprofessional. I wanted to warn others before they make the mistake of hiring them. They were utterly disappointing in terms of their promise and delivery. They did a decent job with our floor. But they didn't do anything under our fridge and wanted us to remove the fridge to do that part, which was quite unprofessional. They had a contract to do all The hardwood floor, but they refused to do that part. Later after 5 months, we were able to move the fridge with help of other people and asked Sergio if he can come one day and just work on the area under the fridge (less than 2ft by 2ft). I told him that he don't have to match colors or anything, just need to take the old floor off that 4 sq ft area and put some protective sheen on. But he argued with me and said that he won't do it for free despite it was under 6 months warranty of their work. He asked me $350-$400 additional of that 4 square ft work which was supposed to be done with the initial contract. When I also mentioned that some part of the floor where they put fillers on came off, he accused me of making excuses to force him so that for free! I was really very disappointed and upset with his behavior and attitude. He was very nice when we started the world but after the work is done and I gave them the money, their behavior changed! I highly doubt whether they will respect their words about warranty! I probably will never recommend them to anyone who wants to work on the flooring. Also despite asking them for receipt and warranty, they never sent me those documents. I will not recommend them to anyone. I would rather spend more money on a professional person who would respect his words and communicate nicely. read more
