I had a great experience with Dr. Johnston. he was - though clearly a busy man - attentive,…read morelistened to my concerns, and validated my continued abdominal pain from a 2011 abdominal injury that was never properly addressed. He and his office staff were courteous and competent. Why the 3 star rating then? The follow up with the P.A. Jane Sonnenburg was extremely frustrating. When I attempted to explain how circumstances had changed with my condition, as I'd just been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia that possibly occurred during a PT session overlapping the diagnostic trigger-point injections - and how this event most certainly nullified any diagnostic data Dr. Johnston was attempting to obtain - she was short, interruptive, and borderline rude. It left me feeling unheard and with more frustration that when I walked in. Ms. Sonnenburg would not let me finish one complete thought without interrupting me and seeming to feel as if her thought and words were more important than mine.

I would absolutely rate 0 stars if I could. My previous doctor was Carrie Anderson, I loved her…read more Things went to crap though when they assigned me Jane Sonnenburg. My first appointment with her I decided I didn't like her. She was very rude, not approachable, snarky, and all together rude. By my second appointment I decided I wasn't going back. She called me fat, straight to my face for drinking a freshly squeezed OJ for breakfast. No sugar added fresh juice. She constantly judged me. My first appt with her she messed with my meds. Without so much as talking to me first. The kicker though is she denied my request for an MRI after my xray didn't show much other than arthritis. Saying that it was good enough to keep me on my opiates. After that I purposefully skipped my last appointment with her and my primary took over. And guess what, I got that MRI! Because of her, serious results (Which I won't share for private reasons) went undiagnosed for so long. Now I have serious pain and can barely move. Worst "Doctor" (Even though her official title is physicians associate) ever. I'm in the process of submitting a complaint and considering legal action. She's not even a specialist for pain like they make you believe. This is coming from the Oregon medical board license database. Image posted below. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Being prescribed pills keeping track of the pills and the overall effect of cloudy thought processing. The use of the Medtronic delivery of opiates directly to the nerve gave me my life back. From the start to the use of saline little by little the amount of opiates was cut back. Exercising keeps the muscles that are cut during surgery without Exercising they don't heal fully functional they don't stretch you end up somewhat crippled. The device kept me free of pain I walk and move it is hard to tell that after a car accident that had I listened to those in Oregon who didn't want anyone to use a device like this. I've since had the device removed 2016 it was put in August 112003 I was not addicted to opiates The muscles that healed from surgery stretch and work the way a muscle is suppose to work Dr Putzer is a man who had the courage to do what a good doctor does the love of each patient living a life without pain other than the aches and pains that are a part of life and needed at times hurt to tell you that fire is hot and burns. No Dr Purtzer to be found . they had to call him back to the hospital to explain why his PT.. Me was left for dead while he went back to work at his private office. Now I have partial memory and sections of long term memory are gone. Short term is difficult. This is the Dr who did 5 fusions on my back couldn't do that correct either. He's not even supposed to be working as a Dr now. He lost his surgeon licences a neurosurgeon. So ask yourself this. Do I want to live? If you do please reconsider the danger you can place yourself into with this person.
