I've hesitated to say anything negative about medical professionals here in the Rogue Valley…read morebecause we have such a shortage and so many problems. Originally when I got my procedure done here I let all the troubling things go, but now those things are glaring since I've seen other professionals as a follow up to my care. The difference was like night and day! I had an endoscopy at this center, and will say up front that the procedure went OK. That's the only reason this place gets 3 stars from me and not 2. It was mostly all the ridiculous lack of attention and professionalism that was most troubling, in addition to the fact that they missed things in the imaging that could have prevented me so much grief and discomfort. Greeting at the front desk was done by a woman that was ... well, there isn't a way to say this gently ... a combination of overly glammed-up and completely without concern for how the back of her head looked. In all my years on this planet, I've never been in a medical clinic and dealt with a woman who looked like she literally had a nest of something growing on the back of her head. I was stunned as she walked away to get something from the printer. Putting aside that she does her hair without looking at the back of it, it absolutely looked unsanitary! To top it off she fawned over my appearance and jewelry like we were sisters getting ready for a date ... ?!? I know staff members always have their individual ways of making patient feel welcome, but this was NOT that. It was simply unacceptable and unprofessional. Thankfully the woman who came to escort me back to the prep room WAS kind and welcoming. Unfortunately she was the ONLY ones who was. The doctor was OK, but not very informative. He seemed like he was ready to get out of there. That was also true of the nurse who came into the prep room to do my intake. She spent her time talking in low tones to the computer, asking me questions. I do NOT have hearing problems but finally had to stop her and tell her to turn to talk to me so I could hear here. She adjusted but seemed annoyed. She put mu IV in a very awkward place and it was uncomfortable. Her attitude was basically, "too bad"! And when she wheeled me into the procedure room, it was like bumper cars!!! And when I was finished, they were supposed to call my ride and confirm I could go, but that didn't happen. Thankfully he was monitoring and near by anyways. I sat in the outer waiting room as attendant after attendant took other patients out the door to an awaiting car. No one asked if I needed help. No one walked me out when my driver arrived. Geez ... I felt the whole time like I was treated like someone's hated EX-mother in law! I thought i was calm and happy to come in for the procedure, but when I left I was anything but that. All of these odd behaviors are not good, but what makes them now very glaring to me is that I've had followup with different medical professionals, and I'm finally on track with the issues that were the original cause for concern and the procedure. The point is that if that doctor and the team had given me all the pertinent information, I would not have spent the last several months suffering! It's disgusting to feel like a lab rat in a surgery center. Everyone has off-days, but this was way beyond that. This was a VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Had a horrible rash on my face and since he couldn't see me for about a week (which is understandable) I went to urgent care and started on prednisone. The rash was mostly gone by my appointment so I almost cancelled but had taken good pictures of it and since he had seen me previously and given me a cream that I had a bad reaction to, I thought I should still see him to get some help. First words out of his mouth when he walks in are "It's the patient who's here for a rash and doesn't have a rash". I laughed it off because he had to be joking right? He then proceeds to tell me there is nothing he can do for me since i dont have a rash. I tell him I have pictures. He says "I dont diagnose based on pictures". I tell him he saw me for this rash before and the cream gave me a bad reaction, cant he give me something else. He says "but you dont have a rash now, why would I treat a rash you dont have?" I try to appeal financially, telling him it costs me a lot of money to see him. He says I can come back if the rash comes back. He tells me maybe it is some form of dermatitis that I can't remember the name of and that he treats it with an Antibiotic. I ask him to prescribe it for me, he says no because I don't have a rash. The bottom line is he had no desire to treat me. He made up his mind that I was wasting his time and so he wouldn't do anything for me. I am an RN in the valley and have been telling all of my coworkers, friends and family to avoid The Clinic for Dermatology and Wellness at all costs. I have worked with all sorts of doctors over the years and have never seen a patient treated with as little regard as I was treated by Joe Gatti.

She is clear and direct with me, she is very thorough, and she has answered all of my questions in such a manner that I am able to learn from her, which I really appreciate. She taught me how to recognize potential melanoma or other irregularities on my skin versus something that is likely normal. This is really good because in between check ups I don't have stress. It's also good because if something did occur I know to call the office and get an appointment earlier. I've always found the folks that work with Krista are really wonderful as well as the administrative staff. All in all, I have found this to be a very professional, warm, and caring practice.

I was effectively dismissed from the practice because of a $45 copay that went unpaid for more than 90 days. When I called to schedule an appointment with my eye doctor, the front desk told me that my account had been sent to collections and that they could not--or would not--schedule me. I was told I was no longer allowed to be seen by the practice. For context, I had been a cash-pay patient for more than 10 years because I did not have health insurance. During that time, I paid thousands of dollars out of pocket for treatment of uveitis, an ongoing eye condition that is causing vision loss in my right eye. When I finally obtained insurance and used it for the first time, no one informed me that I had a $45 copay. The bill went unpaid for over 90 days, and apparently that was enough to have me sent to collections and dismissed as a patient. I contacted the billing department to resolve the issue. They could not tell me which collection agency had the debt, and they would not accept my $45 payment directly. Frustrated, I left $45 cash at the front desk and left. Two months later, while still experiencing a significant flare-up of my condition, I called again to schedule an appointment. I was told I still owed money, that my account had been sent to collections, and that I had been dismissed from the practice. There was no record of the $45 cash payment I had left. I can't help but wonder whether my doctor is aware that a long-time patient with a serious eye condition was turned away over a delinquent $45 copay, that was paid.

Nope, the staff just puts you in a room, shuts the door and that's it. Good luck with your wait time. I went out to check to see if they forgot about me after almost 45 mins or what the excessive delay was and I was told that I need to be respectful. I did not raise my voice or swear. I just inquired about the delay and that this is uncomfortable and frustrating. Don't make it my issue that you cannot treat your patients in a timely manner. I will say their Manager Daniel was a pleasant surprise. He listened, was empathetic and stated that someone should be communicating when there are excessive wait times. His future is bright!
