I booked an appointment with Casey Snider via IG and I had to reschedule the first time but he was able to get me in within 3 weeks of my actual date. When I got to my appointment, it took only about 10 mins for him to get started and boom he was done in what felt like 2 hours! I wanted to get a "sister tattoo" with two of my sisters who live in Portland I live by this shop. I called left a message and they called me back pretty quick. During my call I found out they have walk ins on Saturdays. They told me to be there early because a line would form. That was all well and good. They opened at 12pm so I arrived at about 10ish with coffee and some time to play on my phone. When I arrived there were 2 people in front of me. I was surprised, but stoked thinking I am glad I did not wait longer to show up. Noon came and someone came out w a clip board. One customer in front of me changed their mind, so only one person in front of me. They said it would be a couple hours to wait. So we walked around. At 2 we went back to check in and they said it would be 2-3 more hours. I hired a babysitter until a certain time thinking our tattoos were small and not super detailed. So today was basically a waste of time and resources in the sense that two people drove down from Portland and I arrived so early. Everybody was nice and friendly but having a more well composed system in place would have made today less disappointing. I don't think they would do a bad job. The fact that they have a line would suggest they do good work. But all the same, after 4 hours we walked away disappointed in the shop. All three of us have pretty busy lives. The ability for us to do this again is limited. Super disappointed... Follow up I wrote this review at about 4pm same day. Now it is the next morning they never called at all to come back. The tattoo's could be amazing but they need an office manager perhaps or a better system. Disappointment continues. read more

If I had to pick a word to describe this place, it'd be underwhelmed. Another word would be dirty. I've been to plenty of piercing places and this by far was the least impressive of the bunch. I should have known better but having been thwarted by my regular shop, desperation brought me here. The shop itself seemed to have a thin layer of dirt all over it and it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. There were two workers in the shop at the time - one tattooing and the other manning the counter. I told said counterman my intended piercing choice - labret. As I'd had my labret done before and was just getting it re-pierced, I knew what size ring I needed. Counterman argued with me and straight up refused to use the right size ring, insisting my lip would definitely swell. Well, OF COURSE it'll swell up after getting a needle through it but thrice its typical size wasn't likely. So, again because of desperation after an hour car trip, I let them do it. The piercing process itself was fine, but the piercer barely said boo to me. And needless to say, my lip didn't swell in an attempt to overtake my face and I had to switch out rings the next day. Me and my two friends went in to get small hip tattoos tonight. Me and one of my friends have many tattoos and my other friend got her first one tonight. They were able to accommodate us (cheerfully!) even though it was only an hour before closing, and were very friendly/entertaining/accommodating (I was totally anal about the specifics of my design and the designer, Todd, redid it like 4 times happily). Three different artists did our tattoos simultaneously and they all turned out beautiful. Everyone in the shop has a great demeanor, are very professional, and do awesome work, a couple of my friends have been there as well and can testify the same. I would never suggest anyone go here, not even my worse enemy. To start my experience off when I went in to this store May 2011 I wasn't greeted, the guy at the counter wearing a hat with piercings was playing games on the computer and clearly too pre occupied to be bothered by the likes of me and do his job. After looking around I asked if i could speak to a tattoo artist which he went and got one, and quite frankly acted like I was being a huge inconvenience on his time, at his job, that he gets paid to do. After letting the tattoo artist know what I wanted I came back the next day to get my bird done, it was simple a flash on the wall except the butterflies would be replaces by nautical stars. Both times I walked in the shop it reeked of musky cigarette smoke, and there was dirt on the floor but i figured since he tattooed on a chair it would be fine, yeah i know big mistake. Most tattoo artists open the needles and pour out the ink in front of you, not him. As he was doing my tattoo I tried to talk to him, but it seemed like everything had to be forced out of him, not friendly at all. When he was done with my tattoo I have 7 others he didn't explain like other places how to care for it, which is fine since it wasn't my first maybe that was why. Worst mistake of my life after that nothing but problems happened and I take very good aftercare with my tattoos, first i got a staff infection which the ER doctor had to tell me, and sent me home with antibiotics. Then I got sick from the antibiotics that were given to me oh joy. Then a couple weeks after I received a call to ask how my tattoo was doing and I told the woman on the phone exactly how it was doing, and THEN to make matters worse she tried to act like I didn't know how to properly care for a tattoo, really? NONE of my other tattoos did this, and this was the FIRST with the same after care regime, hmm weird, needless to say I didn't think much of her. Everyday I look at this tattoo i regret it, not because the design but because of the shitty work, it looks like it was over worked and blown out, the starts are messed up the tail is effed up and the shading is distorted just to name a few things. I'm seriously going to get this covered up in the end I just have to see and decide what I want it to be covered with, then i'll post pictures of the cover up since this is nothing to be proud of. Flash should be one of the simpilist things in the industry. If you want a good tattoo I suggest going elsewhere, for better service, quality, and friendliness. TRUST me it's WORTH the WAIT hands down. I've posted photos of this work too it's an orange black and yellow sparrow with nautical stars 3 throughout the body. No tattoo regardless of what anyone tells you should look like this, because frankly NONE of my others do. It really goes to show the quality of work at hand here. read more

Ok, yes, the place looks a little sketchy when you first walk in, and the waiting area is not as clean as it could be. But all the work areas in this shop are kept clean, sanitized, and well-lit, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Also, they hire some of the best body artists in the area. Pete did my first tattoo and he was kind and friendly. His line work was absolutely beautiful, everything came out crisp and bold, and he made sure to give me a thorough rundown of aftercare. This place really is dirty, and it truely does smell like stale cig smoke, after you walk through the front doors with 3-4 people outside smoking cigs. The counter person sits there and plays games most of the time, never greeted anyone who came in while i was there, and had an attitude about answering questions or said "oh gee i dont know (long pause almost as if expecting you to say oh ok dont do your job) let me go find someone who knows? (almost as if asking if you still wanted your answer) The floor desperately needed to be vaccummed, they dont explain anything to you like most shops will tell you what they're going to do and open their equipment in front of you so that you know it's clean Afterwards they take your money and basically give you the notion to leave. No aftercare instructions or anything unless you ask. They also make changes to your tattoo without telling you until afterwards as if it'll be ok then because ITS PERMENANT and have numerous people walk in during your tattoo and just let them stand around and talk about drugs and scoring some more of them. After effects of tattoo, well 3 ER visits later and not fully recovered , overall HORRIBLE experience Oh also when you go and and show them these after effects they so kindly "reassure you" that it's "not that bad" but the ER dr straight after "reassures you" that's it doesn't look OK at ALL Save yourself time, money, proper healing time, and pain and GO ELSEWHERE read more

When I go into a business, I want to be met with at least a hello. When I got tattooed (by the owner), he never once smiled, told stories or made me feel comfortable in any way. I understand they are very old school, you walk in, met by an ass hole who doesn't care about you and shoved out of the door. Get with the times! Josh and Shiela are the best piercers around. Josh has done my lip, and septum. Shiela did my industrial. All my piercings have healed great, and I love them so much. I went in with my best friend, we tendto get tattoos every three months. This time we decided to go in to Oregon Tattoo. We walked in asking if they had time for the both of us. We sat down with two artists and explained what we wanted. I had an idea of what i want, my tattoo artist took it beyond what i imagined, sat for 3 hours and when my skin was done my artist wasn't so he said when its healed t come in and he'd do more. Things have improved since here since 2011 I'm guessing because I have had 5 tattoos done here and I keep coming back because the artist I see, Shane, is good. He is a nice guy who gives you instructions for after care. He uses clean needles and ink. The last tattoo he did had a small spot that was black when it was supposed to be yellow but he is going to touch it up soon at no cost. Only reason I give 4 stars is because he was sarcastic right away when I first walked in and I told him I was looking for a tattoo. Do not go here. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially a first timer! A little advice: cheap tattoos aren't good, and good tattoos aren't cheap. I'm pretty sure that says it all for this shop. My friend went in there to get his first tattoo and the experience was anything but good. First, he asked for a quote and was told to come back later that day and the guy would do it for cheap. Then when he did come back to talk to them again, the man was suddenly busy and pawned him off on someone else to do his first tattoo.This shop also failed all basic tattoo shop etiquette's. There was no questions about if he'd had a tattoo before, if he'd eaten or all those other fun questions that could really effect a tattoo session. The artist did not go gently or do a water test to ease him into the process, and let him squirm in pain without a break. Since the artist was clearly not concerned about my friend, he told him to come back in a month once the outline was healed and he would finish it, but since it was only half done, he'd take half the money now, and the rest when it was completed. Ding, Ding, Ding, we have a bad feeling about this one! If a shop ever does this, do not go back. Appointments are not only supposed to be made in this type of situation, but a clear record for both parties to have on the payment being paid in full and no extra cost will be applied during the next session is fairly important. The fact that they didn't even have a business card, or aftercare instructions didn't help their case either. The guy practically let him walk out with no information past "go to Walmart for some soap and lotion." Clearly they don't care about their clients here, or the work that they produce, since this oh-so-helpful aftercare advice will get you a bad heal job almost guaranteed. This is not a good shop, and provided a horrible first experience to a first timer. I wouldn't step foot in there again unless it was to complain in person, but even then they aren't worth the drive.
