The school is new and had it's first start to finish class of seniors graduate this year. The down side is no transportation and no sports. This is not an issue for my family. Any sport or extracurricular activity your student desires is available through nearby ( Reed) or zoned Washoe County high school. I know my daughter would not be able to handle the large size at our zoned high school. The special education teacher is awesome and the administration works closely with families to address their student's needs. I would highly recommend any family check out this school because the education and environment is excellent.

If she wants to write a story on the white board, then the volunteer who's with her will do it. They play together, they play with puzzles, playdoh and other kind of sensory play. And as she grows older, she added to join their "outings" like going to a movie, playing golf, going to parks and a lot more. Same with my Lucky, she goes on the other side of the facility where she plays with kids the same age. They don't want to go home anymore because they're having so much fun. They do care about the kids and are very attentive to their emotional and academic needs. One thing that is amazing as well is that it's a small school so the staff knows pretty much all of the children. Ms. Angie and Mrs. Baeckel greet each kid by name and their families during drop offs and pick ups every single day- rain or shine. We really appreciate the extra care and attention because you know they're safe having two pairs of watchful eyes to see who comes in and out of the property. My son also is learning so well. His reading I think is advanced and they teach them how to write in cursive at a young age too. He's made lots of friends and even the parents know each other and are connected as well. I don't think you will get that in a big/public school. We are happy that we enrolled our child here. We will stay for a while.

We did a lot of research before deciding where to begin kindergarten, and toured several schools, hoping to find one that stood out above the rest. The King's Academy is it. I can't imagine a better place for an excellent Christian education in the Reno/Sparks area. The staff are wonderful. The teachers are so amazing, experienced, loving, compassionate, and we really can feel how much they truly care for our son. He is having the most wonderful experience. I can honestly say that since my son began attending The King's Academy, he has come into his own genuine, authentic faith. He loves God, he knows God better, he asks so many great questions. Best of all, he tells me all the time now "I love you so much Mom, but I love God more." It is such a comforting feeling to have the utmost confidence in both the quality of the academics, as well as the spiritual environment of the school. We love the smaller class sizes and greater level of attention that the teachers are able to pay to each student, and therefore their enhanced ability to tailor the education to each child's unique needs. I attend chapel every week (parents and families are always welcome to join the students there) and absolutely love it! I love seeing the children having a great time and also receiving such quality, Christ-centered Biblical teaching. It's wonderful. There have been so many times that, unprompted, my son will ask me "Mom, can I please keep going to King's Academy all the way to 8th grade? I love it there!" Early Head Start Program at 1100 East 8th Street, Reno, NV 89512…read more If I was counting on this daycare I would have been fired for the amount of times I would have to call out due to classroom closures. Unfortunately this program is lacking. They tell you that they run this program like any other school in the WCSD. This is false! What normal school is cancelling school stating we don't have an instructor for the day. Would you not get a substitute instructor? My child was in their infant room. Classroom hours Monday to Thursday 8-4:30pm, Friday 8-12:30pm. Before my child was able to start the two "instructors" had to come do a home visit for me to sign forms. Since when do daycares do home visits? My child started the week of Thanksgiving 2025. I am a single parent in nursing school, not originally from Nevada so getting my child into the program felt like a lifesaver. I thought that I would have consistent care for my child Monday to Thursday. Well, that did not happen shortly after starting in November 2025 the classroom would send out a text messages 30-60 minutes prior to the 8am start time stating that the classroom was closed for the day. From 12/2025 to 5/2026 they have closed the classroom at least 17 times! When the first multiple day classroom closures happened I called and spoke to the manager, Amber. She stated that it was very uncommon for the classroom to be closed. Due to these last minute classroom closures I was left scrambling to find child care in order to make it to my school sessions. Another issue, was a day I had pre-planned to have a friend pick up my child due to my school schedule. I informed the daycare who would be picking up my child, I was told that this person could not do the pick up because I had not previously added them to the list and they (daycare) did not have a copy of their ID. At which time I told them, they didn't have a copy of my ID or another pick up persons ID, funny to be implementing a rule now but not at the beginning of us starting with you. Lastly, from the beginning I let them know my child was on a delayed vaccine schedule. When the daycare asked I would show proof of upcoming appointments/vaccine records. Most recently, week of 5/11/2026, I was told while trying to drop off for the day that they were sure if they could keep my child and that they needed to reach out to their health department. After a few phone calls that weren't answered I advised that I would take my child with me because I had to get to school myself and couldn't wait for them to get a call back. While I was there, I did remind the "instructor" that I had sent a copy of the updated vaccine record as well as a letter from the medical provider of the delayed schedule. If there was an issue with this they should have said something on 5/11/26.

It is a way to sell Gene Savoy books, his cassettes and other materials, without any way of telling if the teachings are of any good. This so -called Church is selling products rather than doing any good works, and should be approached very cautiously. It is likely to be a cult where you buy in to get ahead in the organization.
