I called yesterday to inquire and verify that I had met…read moremy deductible and when I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist handed me a cost breakdown which was the same breakdown from months ago, the billing coordinator had not done her job by updating my information. I did my part with my insurance company but she failed to do her job by updating and when I brought it to her attention she totally disregarded my feelings and proceeded to tell me an amount that was in fact wrong because my insurance company verified that my deductible was met so no out of cost was needed. I would have been okay with her mistake if she weren't sooooooooo RUDE! I never got to meet the doctors because I was so disgusted with the poor customer service. If I could put negative stars I would…read more.. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. They refuse to comply with insurance contracts and use deceptive tactics which include treating you with extreme kindness. They are NOT TO BE TRUSTED. On May 3, 2023, I was fitted for a Sleep Apnea Oral device at Sleep Cycle Center which I had confirmed is an In-Network Provider with my insurance. I unexpectedly had to pay them $1500 up front, even though I had met my deductible and Out-of-Pocket with my insurance, so I was not expecting to pay anything. Furthermore, SCC would not allow a reasonable payment plan - pay 1/2 at time of service and the remainder amount two weeks later - Not practical. I was told after they filed with insurance I would be reimbursed. However, when they received payment from my insurance (which was less than the amount they owed me), they refused to reimburse the $1500 to me. Quote from SCC Director of Operations via email conversation dated October 31, 2023 ..." providing a refund at this point in your treatment is not something we can issue." Also, in an email conversation on October 17, 2023, he admitted I had not signed a Financial Agreement ... "it appears my team never secured a Financial Agreement for you and your treatment plan... our clerical issues are not your fault," However, in February 2024, SCC sent a signed by me Financial Agreement to my insurance in attempt to avoid reimbursing me. Clearly, they fabricated that document as I have written proof from the Oct. 17th email stating I had never signed a Financial Agreement - FORGE and FRAUD! As a result, On Dec. 19, 2023, I filed a fraud case with my insurance who then contacted SCC and insisted they resolve the issue within a certain timeframe, or SCC would be removed from their network. On March 5, 2024, I consulted with my attorney and was prepared to take legal action. However, on May 29, 2024, over a year after the initial date of service, multiple unreturned phone calls, many intentional delays and excuses by SCC, including sending me an unsigned check, I finally received full reimbursement. I immediately cashed the check at the issuing bank, as I did not trust that it was legit for obvious reasons. Quotes from my HR Director who consulted with our company attorneys on the matter: "Their behavior is totally unprofessional and unacceptable." "An ethical business would not act in this manner." "They will not be invited back to our Benefit Fairs. I can only imagine if more employees had this occur to them. This whole business on not having a CPT Code to bill for services "warranty" is really suspicious as well." "They are running a shady business..."
