My father was in the hospital and they referred me to Dr Nason. This doctor's name was written on his discharge paperwork. I filed out the appointment form online with all the information, including his diagnosis/hospital info/and that the hospital wrote a referral. Someone called me a few days later and set him up an appointment for 3 1/2 weeks later. 24 hours before the appointment, they called to say this doctor won't see him for his diagnosis. My father has been suffering for over 3 weeks waiting to see this specialist. They refused to take any accountability for the situation or admit they put his health in danger. The office manager told me this is not their fault and blamed the ER. Then she blamed the call center schedulers. Completely unprofessional to shift the blame to your employees and then tell you it's not her problem.

I was greeted quickly and very friendly.  The waiting room is very calming; you only hear the light music from the front desk and the hum of the air purifier. The nurse who took me back to the room and took my vitals was very friendly and made me feel welcome. My visit with Dr. Young was awesome.  She explained everything she did, step by step, and was patient with all of my questions. Building is in a quiet area and has ample parking. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building and outside the office door.  Masks are required throughout the building and offices, including this office.

His staff listened to and worked with me regarding my concerns about the anaesthesia used. They were super available for any and all questions. The medical assistants conveyed the correct answers everytime. Dr Shephed told me what to expect in advance and he and his peeps delivered as promised. Everyone was kind and Dr Shepherd did his work in my sinus surgery with skill and care. The enviroment was relaxed enough that we could all continue talking pretty comfortably throughtout. Surgery was recommended to remove the affected parathyroid gland. Dr. Dammert clearly explained the procedure, and his office quickly scheduled my surgery. Some issues arose right before my surgery, requiring a cardiologist clearance, that threatened to cancel the procedure, but his nurse, Flora, was very responsive and helpful and agreed not to cancel it if I could get cleared in time. She worked with my cardiologist's office to get the necessary clearance, and she kept me informed. While I was awaiting surgery on the day of the procedure, I heard Dr. Dammert and others in the prep area comforting and entertaining a scared young child across the way from me who was also awaiting surgery. Dr. Dammert talked to me just before I was rolled into surgery, answered some questions, and then talked to me afterwards to tell me the procedure went well and gave me the results. He assured me someone in his office would be available at all times to answer calls after I went home. This was especially reassuring since my surgery was on a Friday. He called to check on me the day after surgery. Everything went well, and I highly recommend this doctor. He is very competent, professional, and best of all, he truly cares about his patients. Every person in his office that I dealt with was responsive, caring, and informative.

I appreciate that Dr. Fyfe tries to avoid surgery, if possible. But, if you do end up needing…read moresurgery, I recommend getting a second opinion before you move forward with surgery. Dr. Fyfe performed my surgery in March (balloon sinuplasty and "roto rooter" holes). The surgery required general anesthesia, and recovery from the "roto rooter" was long and painful. After recovery, I felt great for about 6 weeks. Then, in May I got a sinus infection and took antibiotics. In June I got another sinus infection, another follow up, and more antibiotics. In July...another sinus infection. After that, I sought another opinion, and found that there are more modern and effective procedures that do not require cutting holes (the "roto rooter") and do not require general anesthesia. I had another procedure done last week to fix my sinuses (the holes Dr. Fyfe made weren't draining properly) and it has been a much easier recovery so far. Only twilight sedation was needed, and it was done in-office instead of in a surgery center. I feel more confident now that my infected days are over, but I wish I would have gotten a second opinion before surgery with Dr. Fyfe so that I could have avoided the permanent and unnecessary holes in my sinuses.

She did a head CT that revealed a deviated septum, and referred me to Dr. Wassmuth. I was quite impressed by the kindness, courtesy, and professionalism when I first visited the office of Capitol Otolaryngology. Dr. Wassmuth examined my nose and suggested balloon sinuplasty with turbinate reduction. After much trepidation, I scheduled the surgery, which is done in-office. The process of fixing my nose didn't take all that long. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Jack Carsner, was excellent, as were all those I met in the operating room. The procedure apparently went off without a hitch, and my husband drove me home where I rested the remainder of the day. Within a day or so I was feeling much better. I am still considered to be recovering after a week, but have already experienced noticeable improvements in my breathing. My husband says my snoring was virtually gone within a day after the procedure. I've had a variety of seemingly-minor health concerns, that when put together, have led to other problems. Snoring, dry mouth, dental issues, and poor sleep quality turned out to have (at least in part) had a common root cause in breathing problems. Hopefully all will improve or resolve before very long. If you have any kind of breathing problems, including snoring and symptoms like dry mouth when you awaken, you may benefit from a visit to Dr. Wassmuth. I highly recommend his medical practice.

While I was planning on selecting a surgeon here in Austin, I did not limit my search to just this city. I looked in all areas of Texas and even beyond. However, once I identified Dr Kemper, I was confident that I had found the best surgeon for my needs regardless of location. To be brief, Dr. Kemper is a fantastic surgeon. He listens well, explains himself and addresses any concerns with honesty and professionalism. Plus, he's done this procedure many, many times and knows exactly what needs to be done. To say "I trust him" is an understatement. I knew that my condition would be taken care of withit Dr Kemper. My surgery was 6 months ago. Not only did Dr Kemper live up to my expectations but I am happy to say that I am better today that I have been in many, many years. My condition is 100% corrected and there are no residual effects from the procedure; even my 8" scar is invisible and no nerve issues with my skin.
