My sister and I went for gel manicures for her birthday, and we made an appointment ahead of time (which ended up being really helpful since there were about 10 people waiting when we arrived). Since we had an appointment, we got seated right away. I showed my nail tech my inspiration photo on my phone, and she got started pretty quickly. She was nice, but the whole service felt pretty rushed. At times she didn't even let the UV gel finish curing before asking me to take my hand out so she could move on to the next coat. I also added chrome for an extra $15, and while she did take time to make sure it covered most of the nails, I noticed later there were still some missed spots. The overall application also felt a bit uneven, and the gel looked really thick (almost more like a builder gel than a standard gel manicure). Looking at my nails from the side, the thickness seems more noticeable than previous times that I've had them done here. I'm not sure if it was from extra layers or how the gel was applied, but it didn't feel as clean as past visits. Overall, it was okay for the price and convenience, but I definitely left feeling like the attention to detail wasn't quite there this time.

I had specifically scheduled my new set with Amy when I made the appointment four days in advance. However, when we got there, it became clear that she had been double-booked, and there was confusion from the very beginning about who was supposed to do my nails. For a service that was booked several days ahead of time, I expected things to be much more organized. I made an appointment for two full sets and two pedicures at 5:30 PM. When we arrived, they had us sit at the pedicure stations and started on our nails. My sister was able to get her pedicure while her nails were being done, but I was told to wait for another pedicure technician to finish with a client. What was especially frustrating was that the front desk employee knew we had appointments for two pedicures. When a pedicure technician became available, instead of taking me as scheduled, she assigned that technician to a customer who had just walked in. Even though I had an appointment and had already been waiting, I was passed over and forced to wait even longer. By the time I finally got my pedicure, my nails were already finished. The same technician who did my nails then rushed through my pedicure, and it felt like it was completed in about five minutes. It definitely was not worth the price or the wait. Speaking of price, I was also shocked by how much more expensive everything was compared to what was advertised online. I was charged $75 for builder gel alone, which I found excessive and much higher than I expected based on the salon's advertised pricing. The lack of transparency about pricing made the experience even more frustrating. I don't understand the point of making an appointment days in advance if the technician is double-booked and walk-in customers are prioritized over scheduled appointments. The lack of organization, poor customer service, rushed work, and unexpected pricing completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday outing for my sister. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this salon based on my experience.

Rather than taking accountability for the conduct described, the owner attempted to dismiss the incident by characterizing the use of an unclean towel as a mere "misunderstanding." Such a response is deeply troubling and reflects a lack of transparency and responsibility. The issue was not a misunderstanding. The technician attempted to reuse a towel that had already been used on another customer during my sister's pedicure service. This was witnessed and confirmed by another customer in the salon. Only after being confronted did the technician stop disputing the matter and obtain a clean towel. The owner's attempt to minimize this conduct raises serious concerns regarding sanitation practices within the salon and whether similar incidents may have occurred previously without customers' knowledge. Equally concerning was the technician's conduct following the incident. While she attempted to adjust the water temperature after my sister notified the technician that the water was unbearably hot, she never apologized, or demonstrated any concern for my sister's comfort. Instead, she began scooping water from the pedicure basin with a bowl while my sister sat there visibly uncomfortable and distressed. At that point, my sister no longer felt safe or comfortable continuing the service because she had lost confidence in the technician's judgment, professionalism, and hygiene practices. What is most disappointing is the owner's response afterward. Rather than addressing the matter with empathy or accountability, the response came across as passive aggressive, dismissive, and condescending. The owner failed to acknowledge the seriousness of the conduct and instead appeared more concerned with deflecting responsibility than resolving the issue appropriately. Consumers have a right to know how concerns regarding sanitation, customer treatment, and professionalism are handled at this establishment.
