This was my third time going to House of Nails, and unfortunately it will be my last. I took my sister there for her birthday so we could both get new nail sets and pedicures, but the experience was very disappointing from the moment we arrived. I had specifically scheduled my new set with Amy when I made the appointment four days in advance. However, when we got there, it became clear that she had been double-booked, and there was confusion from the very beginning about who was supposed to do my nails. For a service that was booked several days ahead of time, I expected things to be much more organized. I made an appointment for two full sets and two pedicures at 5:30 PM. When we arrived, they had us sit at the pedicure stations and started on our nails. My sister was able to get her pedicure while her nails were being done, but I was told to wait for another pedicure technician to finish with a client. What was especially frustrating was that the front desk employee knew we had appointments for two pedicures. When a pedicure technician became available, instead of taking me as scheduled, she assigned that technician to a customer who had just walked in. Even though I had an appointment and had already been waiting, I was passed over and forced to wait even longer. By the time I finally got my pedicure, my nails were already finished. The same technician who did my nails then rushed through my pedicure, and it felt like it was completed in about five minutes. It definitely was not worth the price or the wait. Speaking of price, I was also shocked by how much more expensive everything was compared to what was advertised online. I was charged $75 for builder gel alone, which I found excessive and much higher than I expected based on the salon's advertised pricing. The lack of transparency about pricing made the experience even more frustrating. I don't understand the point of making an appointment days in advance if the technician is double-booked and walk-in customers are prioritized over scheduled appointments. The lack of organization, poor customer service, rushed work, and unexpected pricing completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday outing for my sister. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

We found this place by chance and decided to check it out. Made an appointment and showed up on time, waited just a few minutes to get seated. Appointment was for two adults and one 9 year old girl. They did a good job on our nails, but it was more expensive than the prices we saw on line. They didn't even offer us the kids price. I had to question the pricing since it was almost $160 for one acrylic fill and two manicures, so they gave me the "first time customer" discount. It seemed a little bit subjective on their part... I did a last minute walk-in and they were able to fit me in, which I appreciated. My technician was Vivian and I asked for a simple gel pedicure. I showed her a reference photo of the taupe color I wanted, and she said she would mix colors to match it. Unfortunately, the final color turned out light pink and looked very different from the reference photo. During the pedicure, I was also hurt a couple of times and it seemed like there wasn't much care or gentleness afterwards. When I mentioned that the color didn't look like what I asked for, Vivian became defensive and frustrated. She offered to restart it, but I didn't have enough time to redo the entire service. The polish application was also uneven. I was disappointed that although the front desk staff could tell I wasn't happy with the result, no alternative solution or offer for a future redo was provided. Called same day around 11am to schedule a pedicure at 12:30pm. I arrived, checked in, and was sat in a chair with Kelly. I had gel polish on as well as acrylic on my big toes. We agreed on removal, but when she started to she tried ripping off the polish/ acrylic on my big toes with cuticle nippers. I asked if she could please soak those off instead, and she said that this was easier. I said I understood but I wasn't trying to damage my natural nail. And because she was slicing underneath the polish/acrylic along the edge of my toe and trying lift it, I was very afraid she was going to stab me underneath my nail bed. And then she really didn't get in there with filing, cutting, or cleaning underneath my nails. She didn't set a timer for 5 min massage, so after about 10 seconds I did, and she only did 3min instead of the 5min that are advertised for the Deluxe Spa Pedicure. Also see attached the picture I took when I got home and cleaned underneath one of my big toes. As the customer, if I request short nails with an ombré design, (which is exactly what I received the first time)that is what I am choosing to pay for. Instead of listening, Tina repeatedly told me what I "should" get rather than what I asked for. She was rude from the start and spoke about me to others, assuming I wouldn't understand. I absolutely did. In the end, she was unable to execute what I requested. My nails were uneven in size and width, the ombré was not done, and even the polish application was uneven. When I asked to speak to the manager, Tina became louder and more disrespectful, to the point that another employee had to step in.I have never been treated so unprofessionally in a salon. I remained patient and composed throughout the interaction, but no customer deserves that level of disrespect. Sadly, I will not be returning! read more

She reassured me that even the most bitten of nails were able to be worked on and made me feel at ease. She made sure I was comfortable and hydrated. Offering drink options. Please save your money and time and take your business elsewhere. I trusted the reviews saying new management is great, but I was very disappointed with my experience. Jenny did my nails. Having just moved to the area, I was hopeful about finding a new reliable salon. I requested a Gel X manicure, and I was seated quickly. I picked a color, then after a short time looking, the nail tech told me they didn't have it and told me to pick another. Disappointed, I chose a different color. Upon taking off my old polish and attending to my nail beds underneath, Jenny was not gentle. She buffed, and buffed, and buffed my nails to the point where I was flinching because it hurt. She noticed, but kept going. She did not take care of my cuticles or cut my real nails evenly. I was left with bright red nails when I had asked for a reddish-pink, sore nail beds, and almond shape when I asked for round. She also used WAY too much glue which was caked on and clumped underneath each nail. The worst part was when I went to pay, I asked for the first time customer discount, and my manicure was still over $70. I get my nails done regularly, and have NEVER paid that much. Today I went to a completely different nail salon in Anaheim because I simply wanted to be happy with my expensive manicure. They fixed the shape of my nails, took time to give me the color and shape I wanted, fixed up my cuticles, and confirmed that the previous nail tech used way too much glue. When they asked me what I paid, they were shocked. They actually laughed and said I was way overcharged. Not only did they comp my manicure, but told me their regular pricing for a Gel X manicure is $33. I will not be returning as a regular customer to this establishment. I am someone who is typically easy to please, which is why I didn't say anything about my experience yesterday. What could've been regular business on my behalf at House of Nails will simply not be the case. read more
