So happy with the full eyebrow microblading that I had done with Nancy! I've gotten so many compliments on how pretty and natural it looks. Nancy is a fastidious artist and a total sweetheart. I didn't really come in with a clear idea of the design that I wanted for my brows, but I love what she created! The salon and workspace are immaculate. They are careful with temperatures checks, gloving, and even have clients wash their hands before coming into the procedure room. I found OPM in a tradeshow in New York & have been following them ever since. Funny enough I was looking for a different permanent makeup company & came upon OPM's booth. What drew my attention to them was the crowd they were getting, the before & after pics & the work they were doing. It was amazing to know that their pigments are organic, made from vegetable dye & their colors do not have iron oxide, which causes the color to change turning green, blue, orange, etc., a fact that I didnt even know. Their digital machines are revolutionary, gentle vibrations which doesnt cause trauma to the skin making you heal in 3-5 days, no down time. Amazing! I have a rotary & a different digital machine, starts with the letters N & C. Its definitely not the same, clints heal in 7-10 days, scabs which causes color loss, machine not as gentle & there is down time. OPM's digital permanent makeup machine blows everything out of the water & surpasses other machines. I also love their cartridges. The ink reservoir is in the cartridge itself, which makes it less wasteful & no chance of damaging the needle because you dont have to dip it in an ink cup anymore. The price of the needles are definitely cheaper to replace compared to my other N.C. machine. I've done alot of research on OPM. Seeing that they blow every competition out of the water, I made that journey to travel to LA to get trained by the best of the best, the creme of the crop. It was no easy task either, being a single mother of 3, I had to juggle the kids between 7 different family & friends for school drop off, pick up, night stays, weekends, you can imagine. A big sacrifice, but one I was willing to take for this big leap of faith. I decided on their full extensive training, which included brows, eyeliner, lips & scalp pigmentation because I dont know when the next time I will be travelling to LA so let me just do everything one shot. In a class with a whole bunch of strange women, all of us were thirsty for knowledge. In walks Lorine Mikheail, the owner & train of OPM. She trained us hard, like boot camp. Even before we set foot on the premises, we were required to do online training, & submit our work for critique. First watch videos, then print paper to practice the hair strokes, draw on eyes & lips, then draw fitting shapes to picture faces, then practice on skins with the tools/machines, all the while submitting your work to each step. I am 100%, no 1000% positive that you will get no training elsewhere like how Lorine gives. She isnt there to take your money, Lorine is there to make sure she trains qualified permanent makeup artists because her name & reputation is on the line. She has my utmost respect for that. I had such a wonderful experience at organic permanent makeup. I had my first micro blading session august 2021 and it only took about an hour. Nancy did my eyebrows, she is amazing and explained the whole process beforehand. There is not much pain, it is similar to getting a tattoo and they give you a numbing cream after the first pass. After they were done, Nancy gave me after care instructions and a gel to keep on my eyebrows. They looked better than I ever thought they could and the healing process went well. I went in for my touch up September 2021 and Nancy applied a slightly darker color. She did such a great job and I love my new eyebrows. They were so sparse before and now my time getting ready in the morning is less than half what it was. DAY 1: I can not express how amazing it is to wake up every day with perfect eyebrows and a natural lash line without doing anything. It took me 3 years to write a review but every time I look in the mirror it makes me angry. I had eyebrows done by my aunt 20 years before I decided to renew them. I still had faded traces of the lines and my aunt retired from the business. I passed by this particular business many times and I decided to give myself a Christmas present on December of 2019. I was assigned an artist since I didn't have a preference and I think because of post-traumatic stress from this experience I blocked her name from my mind. All I remember is her speaking Persian on the phone through the whole procedure. She said she was "training" somebody. After she finished she gave me a mirror and I told her that they were not even. The right one was too high up. She started to prove to me with some app that they are even. I don't need an app to see it in the mirror because I could see my old permanent makeup line below it. So now I have 2 right eyebrows and I have to hide the old one with some makeup.
