Hector was very rude and greedy, and demeaning…read more Funny thing is I have plenty of money and could've gone with anyone and I thought for the good rate why not???? After me complaining about one of the movers moving so slow (literally standing there while me and my bf are moving more then him) he made me pay on the spot instead of after because he did not think I would pay the money because of my complaining and him lying about the prices. Blackmailing me and saying he will keep it in the warehouse if I don't pay this instance....I paid the money in cash as soon as that happened. Very rude, DISHONEST, and not competent. I truly believe in what goes around comes around and he is a very rotten human being. This company sucks, go with someone professional. I wish I looked at the Yelp reviews and saw that they have one star it all makes sense now.....also 2 items damaged. OH AND THEY ARE BEING SUED AND THE COMPANY IS GOING UNDER. Giving them one price at the beginning and then at the end giving them a much higher price while holding their items in the truck for collateral. Forcing the employees on the ground to deal with all the chaos they have created. They also go by several names so be careful. They have an LA and San Diego location as well. They should be shut down for what they do, it's ILLEGAL to not pay your employees and anyone who has worked here who hasn't been paid I suggest they file a wage claim with the labor dept.

DO NOT USE this…read morecompany: - I scheduled a move weeks in advance with a down payment of $100 - the day before I confirmed with multiple people (including dispatch) that my move was all set! I didn't love that they gave me a window of 12-4pm, but I THOUGHT the move was confirmed per their assurance. Furthermore, the company required that I send them a $500 pre-authorization hold to make sure they would be paid. Mind you, the combined $600 was more than what was going to be owed for the job, so they were going to refund me the difference afterwards. - the day of the move - the day I HAD to move, they called me an cancelled the job at 2pm because they had overbooked!! While they did refund my deposit, I was forced last minute (at 2pm no less) to rent a truck and have someone help me move because I had to be out that same day. It was extremely stressful. Whatever you do, don't count on Move Central!

I found this company online and contacted them about two weeks before my move. I spoke with Junior, who gave me a quick estimate based on my 3-bedroom home (note: I wasn't moving large appliances like a washer or fridge). He quoted a minimum of 3 hours and tried to pressure me into booking by offering a lower price when I mentioned I was still comparing other companies. I told him I'd get back to him after making a decision. After the weekend, I decided to go with them--it seemed like the best value at the time. Junior asked for a deposit to book the move, which I paid. Then, after charging my card, he informed me that I'd also need to pay the full 3-hour minimum again (not including the deposit) the day before the move for the team to be dispatched. I told him I planned to pay in cash and was uncomfortable being charged again. He said I could still pay cash, but he'd have to charge my card for the full amount first and then refund me later. This meant I'd be fronting the deposit + minimum hourly charge + gas + cash + tip, just to secure the move--and waiting on a refund. I was uneasy, but agreed to move forward. That's when another red flag popped up: after collecting my payment info, Junior abruptly hung up. He didn't call back, and I couldn't get ahold of him again despite multiple calls. When I finally reached him the next day, he said dispatch hadn't confirmed but assured me the move was set and he'd follow up. He never did. Instead, I later received a voicemail from Hector saying he needed to finalize the move. I texted to confirm and was given a move window of 8-10am. On moving day, by 9:30am, I had received no call and no one had arrived. I called the business--no answer. After repeated attempts, I got through to Hector, who said he'd check with the driver. At 10:12am, the driver called and said he'd arrive in 45 minutes. He showed up an hour later. Then, another issue: the driver told me the move didn't include materials--despite Junior assuring me they were included. I called the company again, and Hector finally admitted that Junior had given me the wrong information. He apologized and acknowledged the delay (the team was 4 hours late), and offered a 5% discount on the overall cost of the move plus a $50 reimbursement for the materials that should've been included in the first place. While I appreciated the small attempt to make things right, it didn't make up for the stress, poor communication, and misleading pricing. The actual cost ended up being significantly higher than what was quoted--between extra hours, material fees, gas, and tip. Bottom line: This was a terrible experience. Poor customer service, dishonest quotes, bait-and-switch tactics, and zero professionalism. I do not recommend Movers Central. Save yourself the headache--look elsewhere. Update: The "deposit" that was initially described as a hold on my credit card was actually posted to my account. I attempted to contact Hector multiple times for clarification. Each time, he said the issue was with the finance department and that he would follow up with me -- but he never did. Eventually, when I tried calling back, the number was disconnected. Attempts to reach the main office also failed, as the line wouldn't ring. I then contacted them through my credit card company and was finally able to reach Hector. When I asked to speak with a manager, he placed me on hold and then abruptly hung up.

They took over eight hours to move a 2+2 apartment to a location one mile away. I had to return to the old residence twice due to the workers leaving the screws for my bed AND my tv mounts. I had to search in the dark as the power had been turned off at the old apartment. Who doesn't put screws in a plastic bag? They left the power cord for my television at the old apartment on the floor. The bed screws were in the windowsill and the mount screws were all over the floor. I was unable to locate all of the mounts, so, I had to re-purchase new mounts. I tried to contact them to express my discontent and was told that someone would reach out. That was three days ago. All in all, it cost over $2k to move one mile away for shoddy service. Would not recommend them.

They provided more movers for the hourly cost than the other two companies and were available. Darlene was kind and amazing, and thorough in asking questions about furniture, packing, pets, and exercise equipment. Things I didn't even consider! Day of the move (Saturday after Thanksgiving) Ryan, Santos, Mario and Amir showed up on time, carefully wrapped all of our furniture with either blankets or plastic wrap. The asked questions about where things should go, and questions about how to assemble or disassemble things. This is our third move, and we are not as young as we were with our last move. We had to make two trips, but it was still within budget. Next move, I'll call them again, and pay for packing (which we thought we could do on our own in our 50s!) Book this place and don't go anywhere else! Thank you to everyone for our amazing team and the seemless move.
