I had used this service before and had a good experience. This time was different. After 1.5 hours, I had trouble understanding where the organizer was going with her plan, so I tried to express my needs and what I was looking for. After discussing for a while, she just left, having made more of a mess than was there before. I am including the "after" photo. Update: I got an email from the CEO threatening me for this review. It's unfortunate that her employee was upset with our appointment too. I stopped her to understand what her plan was and explain my needs, so that we weren't wasting our time. I'm sorry that my feedback hurt her feelings. My harshest feedback to her was, "I understand your piles, but I don't see how they are helpful," and "there are a lot of piles here - at some point they become superfluous." I have nothing against her employee. She seemed like a nice person. But I didn't see that her method was meaningful, and her explanation was only "this is my training" so I continued to not understand her plan, and I pressed to find out more, because I genuinely wanted her help. I tried to explain that all I wanted was someone to sit with me and say "do you need to keep this?" But she told me that her way was to make a bunch of piles, leave for 30 min so I could decide what to get rid of by myself, and then come back and put the leftovers away. I told her that if she did that, I would just feel overwhelmed and probably not do anything. So she told me she couldn't help. As she got up to leave, I even said, "ok we can do it your way. I'll try to trust you. Please don't leave me with this mess." But she left anyway. I wasn't going to even write a review until I realized she had scattered my sentimental box in an unfixable way. When I realized that, I cried. I had told her I wanted to work together, but she had refused, and if we had worked together in the first place, she wouldn't have destroyed the one thing that really mattered to me. It was a bad day for all involved. The CEO says I am a "bully" for articulating my needs, but I don't think my expectations were unreasonable. I wanted to go thru things together, and have the organizer be gently present as I made decisions about letting go. The organizer wanted to sort things herself and have me make decisions alone. Those ideologies are fundamentally at odds, so maybe it's good she left early. read more

First time we tackled organizing our kitchen to be more user friendly, the pantry (including getting rid of some embarrassingly old food), and our hallway closet of medicines, linens, and toiletries. Second time, we went through boxes and boxes of stuff that we hadn't unpacked for 2 years. I ended up donating two Honda Civics full of stuff! Lily did such an amazing job of sorting through everything I had and then culling down what I didn't need. She sat with me and provided advice for how to sort sentimental things and when to get rid of superfluous things. Most recently, we tore through the rest of the house getting rid of anything that we could in preparation for a move to a new home. WHEW! If I could rate them higher, I would! I had such a positive experience with The Organizing Experts (a team of truly amazing women) who moved almost literal mountains in my house. We had several projects for the team that they completed (yes, totally completed) in 3 days. Without sounding overly dramatic, the work that they do is life changing. My garage, pantry and kids' play rooms are organized. I've felt so much stress with these areas being unmanageable during quarantine and I feel like I can work and focus on my family and life again without worrying about the disaster of my house! Ruby went above ansd beyond for me - doing everything with little involvement from me so that I could focus on other things, and that was really wonderful. They canceled after half the job was complete, and when I called, were very vague about why. I tried to offer to accommodate but they simply refunded the remaining part and backed out. Very bad with communication. I would not recommend them. I am left with a half-organized house, and although they did send me a couple referrals, it doesn't make up for the lost time and energy to get this scheduled. I have nothing but the best things to say about Kammie and her crew. I hired Julie to help me unpack after a move. She came over and asked what my priorities were. We tackled the kitchen first, since I was totally overwhelmed by the lack of storage space. She was really helpful in deciding what needed to be in the kitchen for easy access and what could be put away somewhere else, since we only use it once or twice a year. She also had great ideas of how to clear off the counter and use things like the fridge (magnetic spice jars!) and walls (shelves, hooks, etc.) as storage space. She did most of the work and I just asked for jobs I could do to be helpful. Some things we had too many of (e.g. who needs 6 cutting boards?) and she took the extras to Goodwill for us. After the kitchen, we tackled the study, which was still full of boxes that needed to be unpacked or moved. She was so helpful in arranging the furniture and helping me decorate! She even helped me tackle our storage closet, which is now a thing of beauty. At the end, we had about 15 minutes left so she asked if there was anything else she could help me with. We walked through the other rooms of the house and I talked about what my plans were for organization or any problems/questions I had. She gave me so many great ideas that I can use on my own time (e.g., use baskets to organize in the bathroom, keep sheets in boxes under the bed to free up closet space, etc.)! I can't thank her enough. Plus, what a great use of 15 minutes! I had hired Julie before at my previous apartment and I liked her so much I requested her this time. I really felt like she was helpful and not judgmental at all, which was my worry going into this. $279 for a day of cleaning and organization (tax included) is a total steal once you realize all the things they do. Save your money and use someone else. I just moved into a two bedroom townhome which I did not have a lot to items to begin with coming from SoCal condo. I asked for them to please unpack and organize. I even said I would pay for anything purchased to organize my home. After them being here for 8 hours, I came home to an over powering smell as they used every wax melt and scent bulb that I pretty much had. I ended up tossing everything and slept with windows open just to get the smell down. What a waste of items to just be tossed as they were already opened, etc. Then if I could provide pictures, everything was unpacked and just placed out. I had a lot of décor that could have been placed in bins and stored in garage but I guess organizers did not think of that. Also, their photos do not show all the stuff the shove out of the photo. I saw great photos of my home and found a lot of stuff was not in the photo (put there after the photo) and a lot in an area that was not in the photo. Nothing was labeled and my pantry was packed including a garbage taking up half the pantry. Now being organizers wouldn't you think to utilize the space you have? I spent one day off work decluttering their "organization" and now things are not out everywhere, labeled and can see in my pantry and cabinets. When I write them, I received an unprofessional response and then when I tried to give them a second chance and consult with me first ...suddenly I am out of their service area. My first contact with Organizing Experts was great. They responded quickly and scheduled a free consultation within days. The consultation was good,and I was excited about the plan we put together. We talked about schedule, and penciled in 3 days of work, beginning a month later. I never heard back from them until the day before when I didn't get a confirmation email or call. I reached out that morning, and when they got back to me, I wasn't on the schedule. My organizer had FORGOTTEN to let me know that she couldn't get a second person for the dates we discussed. Nor had she called to arrange new times. This in the THREE WEEKS, actually maybe 4 after my initial consultation! Now she was booking out another whole month! She did end up offering an appointment a week later because of a cancelation, which didn't work for me. I had this work planned for September, which I had told her, had booked off time at work for this, specifically because I need it done asap, and the rest of the year my schedule is very difficult for many reasons and I wanted to have my home manageable before then. I found it very unprofessional that my organizer wasn't organized enough to make a simple courtesy call to follow up on confirming or rescheduling a session. Now I still have the significant work, with even less time, and now I have to go back to the drawing board to find someone else as I simply don't trust Organizing Experts at this point. I am really sad to write this review, I'm a high functioning mom of 2 in West Seattle, I hired this group to help us finish unpacking and get moved in because I have two little ones and a sprained wrist! The initial consult and preview went well, but the organizer who arrived to help at the arranged day was truly insulting to my intelligence. She interrupted me and talked down to me when I expressed concern that they had changed our original agreement. I assure you I am not an unusual or difficult customer, but this young woman really tried to teach me a lesson within 15 minutes of arriving in my home. She was more concerned with being right than listening to what I was sharing. It was strange, young, unprofessional, officious behavior. She fired herself after 25 minutes and worst of all, I have to find help quick I was really looking forward to this experience. Short story? Really disappointing, unprofessional and NOT organized. Don't book with this outfit if you need them to show up at the time and on the day you have them scheduled. Philosophically? How can "organizing experts" be so disorganized as to not show up, especially when they confirm via email fewer than 12 hours before the appointment start time of 8AM, and the excuse is not illness or another unavoidable problem but just an "oops, our first consultation appointment ran over this morning, so sorry we can't get to your house when we said we would at 8AM, but we can give you a credit of $50 and reschedule to another day". What? Maybe they are more disorganized than their clients who take time and appointment commitments seriously. Longer story - I scheduled for an early start Saturday morning, earlier than their normal start time (but apparently, if they were running over time with an earlier consultation, they start even earlier than 8AM with other people). On Friday, they sent an email confirmation for an 8:30AM start time. Later on Friday night they sent a new email moving the start time up to 8:00AM. Okay, a little irritating for them to change the time without asking me first, but I am flexible enough to start earlier. No problem. Saturday morning I get up early, fit in a grocery store run before they arrive so I can dedicate the whole day to the work, blitz the house and am ready at 7:45AM. 8:00AM rolls around? No organizers. 8:15? No one. 8:30 - still no one and no call. At 8:40AM, someones calls to say "oops - we are running late, our first consultation appointment this morning ran overtime (hunh? - who schedules in a consultation before an organizing day that starts at 8AM?) but we can send someone now from Covington (near Kent) to your house in Ballard or we can give you $50 off a rescheduled day some other time." What? Really? After specifically scheduling an 8:30 start time that you then change to 8AM, then you call at 8:40AM on that day to say you can send someone who lives 30 to 40 minutes away? And, after you blow off your start time commitment to me in favor of someone else's consultation, you offer to reschedule to another day with a $50 credit? Lady, my day - and your credibility - should be worth more than $50. I don't have a lot of free Saturdays and had I known, I could have scheduled someone who would show up. And, you are seriously saying you aren't here because your organizer in Covington was scheduled for an earlier consultation on a day when she had an appointment start time in Ballard of 8AM? Kammie was awesome! The guest room in my condo had been collecting items for storage for ages. It got worse and worse until I was frightened to even open the door. It was so full that the overflow was moving into other rooms and it was causing alot of anxiety. Kammie came in and helped organize, sort and haul all sorts of things from make up to furniture. My husband and I hired Kammie 6 months ago to come organize our condo. We had gotten married and moved two places worth of stuff into one home and we hadn't ever really found the time to figure it out. Kammie came in and miracle worked it. I was in a crunch. My room was a total disaster and my landlord was going to take a look at it within less than a week. I desperately sought out some sort of organizing/disaster cleaning help, and it was NOT easy. I had a few people tell me that they could help me for a few hours, but didn't think they could finish the job. When Kammie called me back, she was confident she and her partner could do it. Two wonderful people came to my house and organized all my primary living spaces and made them open and usable. I was buried in clutter and disorganization, and now everything has a place. I love it! It went amazingly well. The organizers made 5 rooms of my house usable again. I came home the first day (of two days) and it was like being in a new house. I had a dining room I could use, a kitchen I want to keep clean, and a living room I could live in. Im inspired to purge a lot more stuff out of my house and be free of it. I had been recommended to this business sort of as a third hand reference, but I took the reference and booked a full 6 hours with them to take my large closet space from "HELP!" to heavenly. As a frequent traveler, I barely have time to unpack a bag before getting a new one packed, - and as a frequent sailor who spends days at a time on the water my stinky gear was taking up a fair bit of my space and it was adding up to a mad mess of clutter in my normally tidy home. It made me feel like I was getting close to being a bad "hoarders" episode! (Ok, not that bad, but it FELT like it!) It was time to take this seriously and get order back to my space before I indulged my deep desire to set fire to it all and walk away. Whitney was my Organizer - and she was just amazing. Polite, funny, efficient and very easy to work with. I think it is important to mention that I stayed and worked WITH her to make sure we got the right flow and sorted things well - especially since I was aiming to give a fair bit away. While she did the heavy lifting (literally!) she helped me to sort thoughtfully through all my things without ever pressuring me to get rid of anything specifically - the end result was a much lighter, brighter walk-in closet that looks amazing I felt at ease the entire time, and the best part was her packing all my no-longer-needed items and taking them off to be donated to a better home, where someone can use them more than me. Where to start?! Julie was our selected organizer...she is AMAZING! her insights, ideas, empathy, kindness and commitment to thoroughness were huge keys to the success in getting an actual system in place for our 3 bedroom 2 bath 1200 sqft apartment!! I am a single mother of a 7 year old boy, and my mom moved in with us a few years ago. We all moved from San Diego and even though we didn't have much to begin with- the clutter accumulated in just a year and a half! The Organizing Experts, truly live up to their standards. The Organizer, Julie of the Seattle area, was my initial contact. She performed the initial assessment of my apartment. She asked "What do I want my place looking like, when it was done". I said, "My goal is when we are done; The place will be fully organized and I want to be able to go in any room (except the Kitchen), in my apartment and be able to pack everything in 4 to 5 medium boxes and then we are moving furniture". I asked them to help me get my apartment organized over 3 days, with a 4th, if needed. Based on that assessment and the timeline I had established, she said that it would take (2) Organizers working, to get it done. On Friday morning at 10 am promptly, Julie arrived. She was accompanied by Jules of the Kirkland area. They came in and we had a brief discussion each day, on what would be accomplished and immediately began organizing. They started the worst room first (second bedroom, "I called archives"), this was to ensure we could then start on the main living space, and have a place to use as a temporary holding zone as me identified a permanent location. They took on the living room, coat closet, kitchen, master bedroom, closets and bathrooms. They did an excellent of organizing the apartment. Julie, did an even better job of managing me, ("but I really need to hang on to that"), because when I got to clingy to an item, we went back to my original stated goals. They kept me focused on paperwork, and decisions that needed to be made by me, whether to discard or donate or do you need this. I was never able to keep up with my paperwork, because it is too much. I will get it finished the week after they have left. You know. that receipt from Safeway back in 2001, lol. We didn't need a 4th day. True testaments to their excellent work; I feel like I just moved in to this apartment. I posted pictures of my apartment on FB and my family and friends are amazed. A friend of mine and a guest came over and waited for me to get off work. The guest said "This guy must have OCD, his apartment is immaculate", my friend just smiled. Lester L. The stress and pressure from letting things pile up had truly worn me down. To the point that I can't take it any longer! Logan, Whitney, and Kammie were fantastic. They came prepared with bins and a label maker. They gave great ideas throughout the whole house. They even picked up additional items from stores to my liking. The MONSTER bags and boxes of remnants they took to goodwill and the dump. I can not actually review any work done as I after I contacted them, I received a response back requesting more information from me. I responded, answering all questions and never heard from her again. I emailed and called once more before I moved on to someone else. I am very disappointed that an organizing company was not together enough to contact a potential customer. Sadly, I was really excited to get started with this company but I was unable to even schedule a consult with them. I felt like that was enough info to let me know I should find someone who was more capable. Update: I would like to mention that the Organizing Experts website states that they expanded to the Phoenix, AZ area some time ago. I originally contacted them on 9/3/14. I feel that in nearly 8 months they should have had not only the opportunity for a consultation, but at least an email or phone call. So as they have time to respond to these reviews, it's unfortunate that they do not have the ability to contact potential clients. read more

Had the 1st of our three "Clutter Blast" sessions yesterday. The duo, Julie & Christine, were there promptly at 10 am, and got right to work. Together, we established the goals for the day, and set out the priority of each. The first hour, they asked a lot of questions and moved at a moderate pace. At that point, I wondered if we were going to meet the goals for the day. But by the end of the second hour, I realized they had a methodology for clearing each surface: categorize each item into Keep, Consign/Sell, Donate or Trash, box or bag it with like items, then dust the area (i.e. table, bookcase) and move to the next surface. By the end of the third hour, they knew how I categorized objects (Decor, Entertaining, Holiday, Spiritual, Gifts, Office) and really picked up speed. Before lunch, we moved into the small den I had been using as a walk-in closet. It was so overloaded with garment bags and half-opened boxes (I blame Nordstrom Rack and N-M Last Call) that you could barely see the floor. Julie & Christine were undaunted. It felt like we were playing the lighting round of Password: Julie would hold up a garment and I would say "Keep", "Consign", "Dress for Success" or "Donate". Then Christine took the garment, folded it up, and put it in the appropriate bag. When I hesitated, they were happy to give me tactful input ("When you do lose the weight, is that something you're going to want to wear again?) subtly pointing out that acid-wash denim is not really in style now. Again, they were understanding about my choices and admitted that they, too, had several T-shirts they kept for nostalgic reasons. We broke for a 30-minute lunch and started on shoes and purses when we resumed. The insightful input continued, "Is it hard to maneuver in 4" heels when you're using a cane?", together with helpful suggestions like "Stuart Wietzman shoes are welcome by consignment stores!". Next, it was onto the boxes of housewares under the desk. Same categories, same insight when asked for, and absolutely no judgment. By 4:00, the "walk-in closet" was restored to its former glory as a den! The random books scattered around were back home in the newly accessible bookcase. The desktop had been cleared off, dusted, and was inviting to work on. I'll admit that I was exhausted, but I was also exhilarated. And proud of the fact that we had five Hefty bags filled with clothes bound for consignment or Dress for success or The Salvation Army. Which Julie & Christine took with them to drop off! I've worked with this company several times and have always been incredibly pleased with the results and the staff. My first experience was three years ago when I moved into a beautiful spacious apartment in Queenanne and was working so much I just could not get myself unpacked! They helped me unpack, organize, and even decorate! Thank you Kammie and Francis !!And then Julie helped me with my next apartment a year later which was a little bit tricky because I went from a two bedroom down to one. Julie helped me organize my living room and even found space for an office :). And then my most recent experience with the organizers was this past year. I just got engaged to a wonderful man who was a very busy single dad who needed a little bit of that special touch to make his place feel a little bit more homey for when he had his girls on the weekends. The organizers organized their playroom and their bedrooms. The girls really loved their revamped and organized rooms and so did we . Kammie of Simply Efficient was at my house for almost ten hours this weekend. She's gone now, and I have just done my first couple of hours of work in my newly organized office. It has never been so easy to accomplish tasks. I was extremely disorganized and now I know exactly where things are so when I am doing a complex task, I don't have to search and get distracted. Kammie did this for me. She is energetic, enthusiastic and has great vision for spaces. Mine is a small home office. It is transformed! I had Whitney & Rachel come over for the first session of reorganizing/reclaiming my apartment - they were amazing!! Both are very sweet & genuine people & they were a pleasure to work with. And even though by the end of the day we were all exhausted, they stayed cheerful and efficient. I was so impressed!! They knew what they were doing, and helped set up systems that are going to work to keep the space organized in the long run. They even brought along a label-maker so that everything is clearly labeled and easy to find! They are also very trustworthy - I felt okay leaving them by themselves in my home while I ran an errand, which normally I wouldn't feel comfortable doing with people I just met! Anyhow, the end result of our work is wonderful! I have to admit that I was nervous (and a bit mortified) to have them come into my space - which after being out of commission for 3 years due to repeated surgeries & health stuff looked like a bomb went off - but they were so great about it & totally non-judgmental, and I needn't have worried. So relieved that I discovered them and finally took that first step! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them!!!! And amazingly, I'm actually looking forward to our next session! Love you guys! read more
