Brought my lil sinigang (my lovely Filipino girlfriend) here during our brief visit in Austin for a wedding. The food was delicious, lahat pizza was shmackin no cap fr fr on god. Ubes tres leches was decadent and moist with solid ube flavor and not too sweet. Overall great food, music, and vibes at this new concept. They gave us a nice complimentary cookie shared in the photo below. The red and blue part of the Filipino flag are accidentally flipped, beautifully symbolizing the owners who although are American born diluted Filipinos, still continue to pay homage to their Filipino roots, but may come across as "lost in the sauce", like Filipinos who have lost their knack for dancing and singing but still eat silog for breakfast. read more

A fun and exciting spot that just opened in Austin, Oribello's has solid bar food, unique drinks, and a vibe that is unique with a personal touch with lots of outdoor seating and sufficient indoor seating. The Filipino-inspired bar has drinks with Ube and my favorite eat was the birria style pizza. We just had dinner here and we must have caught them on an off-day because there could have been no other explanation for the experience we had. 1.) We walked in and it was uncomfortably warm. There's only 1 small ceiling for the entire main area. I asked our server (she had pigtail braids) if the other fan was broken or if it could be turned on. She said she had to go check with a different staff member because of something with the owner. Came back and said she needed to ask chef in the back who would know for the answer for some reason? Long story, short: nothing came of it so everyone in my party was glistening with sweat. Not until what seemed like a shift change towards the end of our dinner because a different employee came in much later and turned on a portable fan. Yay? 2.) Once we ordered our food via mobile order, the server brought us lukewarm water while we wait. We had to ask for ice because it was not going to cut it in this hot environment but she immediately offered another table when she brought their water so I guess that was thoughtful for realizing that with the next guests...? 3) A male bartender/server came over about 15 mins after we ordered to let us know they didn't have one of the ingredients for the Moscow mule so our friend had to order something else. Fine, not a big deal, she ordered a cider instead. Our friends got their burgers shortly after that but it was not the Classic that they ordered; it was the Oribello. See next comment. 4) At this point, we've been waiting for awhile for our drinks. A blonde female bartender came over because she sees only 1 of us had a drink and 2 of us had food (albeit, the wrong one - see above). She asked if we all got our drinks yet, we said no, she apologized, and that she would get on it. She also informed us she would remove the Moscow mule charge off their bill and comp the cider that my friend ordered then asked if we needed anything else. We let her know that the burgers my friends ordered were not the correct ones. She apologized again and said they could keep the burgers and they'll send out the right ones. They declined so the food was sent back. When they finally got their burgers again 10 mins later, it was the same exact burger...except they just removed the Filipino hot dogs from the original Oribello burger, forgot the pickles and bacon for their additional toppings (but kept the bacon jam that only came on the Oribello burger), and the fries were hard. We had to ask for ketchup twice. Then they finally brought our drinks except mine. That was the last time we saw our original server (the braided pigtails). 5) The same male employee came over again to check on us. We asked for the wait time for my husband's entree since we had our food now except him. He let us know that he'll check on it and we asked if we were missing anything. I asked for the ube tres leche cake to be served with the rest of the food since we didn't know how long it would take at that point or if they'll even remember to bring it out later. I also let him know his blonde female coworker gave my drink to another table who sat down more than 30 mins after us. He apologized on her behalf and would look into it. When the male employee asked the blonde about my drink, I read her lips and she mouthed to him "She just added it", which I clearly didn't because I put my order in the same time as my food. I watched her make my drink and she filled it up with 85% ice and 15% drink even though the other girl who had my drink had the opposite ratio. She was "kind" enough to remove the drink from our bill though. 6) The ube tres leche was not great. The cake batter itself was dry and it felt like they just quickly drenched it in some ube syrup to give it the "wet" look but it was not like HEB tres leches. The ube pina colada had more pina colada than ube. TL;DR below average experience with subpar food and inattentive staff except the guy who at least actually checked on our stuff. read more

I've been wanting to come here and so when someone needed a suggestion for happy hour, I said let's go to Oribello's! What I love about Oribello's is the super friendly vibe. It's spacious inside with a cute outdoor patio too. Parking can be a little tricky since you can't block the tire shop next door until they close at 6PM (which also happens to be when happy hour ends). We parked by the laundromat and asked Ronnie if it was okay, he was very nice about it. Mila and Soup totally took care of us. We ordered almost everything: lumpias, adobo chicken wings, fried cassava, and brussels sprouts. They were all so good so you should order all of them! We tried the birria pizza, which came out with consommé and dang...the crust was crunchy, the flavors were on point, and it even reheated perfectly for lunch the next day. Really enjoyed the different flavored drinks...the ube gin and tonic was strong and such a pretty purple. The lychee spritz is on the sweeter side, the banana old fashioned was good, and the classic margarita was perfectly made. For dessert, we had the ube flan and the ube tres leches. Both so good! I had a lot of ube flavored things here and I'm still not sure if i even know how to describe this taste...you'll just have to come and try ube for yourself. Can't wait to come back! read more

I came here on a soft opening night. The place was packed! It had a great atmosphere and fun crowd. We had gathered to watch the Tyson and Jack Paul fight. I was unable to try any of the food due to being gluten and dairy free. I know their menu is expanding. The pizza here I heard was delicious and smelled and looked delicious. Lol, sinangg. They'll need to fix their menu for the spelling. Ordering was confusing. We scanned a QR code and tried to order. Worker came to tell us what we ordered is no longer available and order from the new menu. So we started ordering with them but they said to do it on the app. Some of the items on the physical menu were not on the scanned QR menu. Lumpia and Brussels sprouts were good.. Mango mansi was refreshing on a hot day. Not bad. Downside: half of their menu was sold out when we got here for happy hour. Ube pancakes taste like plain pancakes. No ube flavor. I guess they redid their menu. no vinegar for the Silog plates???? What is the adobo plate supposed to taste like? It tastes like a tocino plate. Did not get water refills. Had to ask twice. We went to Oribello's to try out their Filipino inspired food like their lumpia and ube tres leches cake. Both were very good, but the real highlight was the Birria pizza, complete with a consume dipping sauce. The flavor was just amazing and the crust was just perfect. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a pizza this much. The restaurant has a chill vibe and is also a great place to just to eat and hang out. The owners are really cool too and like to chat with customers. I can't wait to head back and try their other dishes. read more

The food was amazing, the birria asada fries where the birria actually taste authentic and the consome is full bodied and not watered down like most birria places. The spices and herbs in the lumpia are spot on as well and the brussels sprouts were a refreshing bite after everything. Currently waiting for our much anticipated Filipino breakfast pizza. My wife had originally came to oribellos during a tattooing workshop hosted by oribello and a local tattoo artist and kept persuading me to come try their food. Soup who runs Oribellos was so welcoming and compassionate toward our dog Oreo. They had biodegradable straws and turned the heater on outside on the patio for us during this first cold week in Austin. My first time at Oribellos wont be my last, and very memorable. I will be bringing Oreo every time I come here since her favorite is the waffle fries. Will be our go to when we are in the area! read more

Service was amazing, we were greeted as we walked up and again when we walked in. The space is clean and the music sounds great. Speakers are placed in great spots and tuned to the space very well. Heard a new Filipino spot opened recently so had to stop by with family on Mothers Day. Ordering was easily done online and service was super accommodating. One of the owners, Wes, was very helpful and friendly, making sure we were taken care of and gave us a free cookie. For drinks, we had the ube coloda and lychee spritz - the ube coloda was super sweet with a strong ube flavor, almost like a boba drink which I liked. For food, we had the lumpia, loco moco fries, birria pizza and ube tres leches. The appetizers were alright, but the birria pizza and ube tres leches were definitely the highlight. Overall, it was a great vibe with good food and recommend to bring with friends and family. Looking forward to the menu expanding with more Filipino oriented dishes and coming back! read more

I didn't expect to enjoy the birria pizza, but with all the rave reviews, I had to give it a try--and it was absolutely delicious. The lumpia was outstanding, and even the tres leches won me over. The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars is the $3 charge for a 2oz side of ranch. That's steep and unlike anything I've seen at other restaurants--$3 is typically enough for an XL side. Initially, the waitress lowkey didn't know what she was doing--no plates, silverware, napkins... but she quickly corrected herself. We found out the famous ube cake was not being served (the reason why we went in the first place)--but the man in charge at the time went out of his way to get it made for us, especially because we were celebrating my dads birthday. The Filipino cuisine was really good, priced very fair! They also had a "nerd trivia" night going on which was fun to participate in--maybe have it go smoothly next time. Horrible customer service! Ordered an ube gin and it was literally sitting there for 20 minutes until we said something to the bartender who then passed us the melted drink. Very unique and diverse menu with all different cuisines. Great service (Wes, DJ, Alan) with constant checkups. They gave us a complimentary ube tres leches which was to die for.
