I have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the all you can eat with my husband. When we take our 3 and 9 year old we always order them a dish from the kids menu... they have a strict no sharing policy even if your kid is only a toddler. So when I got my California role the waiter practically yelled at me and my daughter "no sharing" when my little girl took a piece off my plate. Mind you I order my kid her own meal. I had to get the manager involved and explain to them that I ordered and am paying for her separate meal, if she wants to try something I have it is unacceptable for them to monitor us and have their staff tell my child no. I get that they don't want kids eating off their parents buffet, but my experience was overkill. Mind you our waiter was rood from the onset and the entire rest of the meal experience was terrible. He was rood to the point where we actually had to stop our meal and tell him we would appreciate it if he treated us with same courtesy as the rest of the patrons. Bad experience. read more

This place was just awful. We ordered 2 rainbow rolls, their Elliot roll, and fresh wasabi. Our wasabi was not fresh, it was FROZEN and the fish on the rainbow rolls were discolored and smelt rancid. We went to meet family there for dinner, but unfortunately had to leave right when we got our sushi because our infant daughter being really fussy. When we got home and attempted to eat it, we were extremely disappointed. We LOVE sushi, and eat it frequently enough to know there's no way any of our sushi was made to order. I called and spoke to the owner, he took zero accountability and completely denied everything. He admitted to the fact that they freeze their "fresh wasabi" and said it was impossible their sushi was not good and didn't taste fresh. It was like talking to one of the owners from Gordon Ramsey's, "Kitchen Nightmares" show. Delusional! Worst $36 I've ever spent in my life. This was an interesting little restaurant. The food was delicious and came out fast. Nothing bad to say about the food. It seems to be family run and there were a lot of random people walking in and out of the kitchen as well as kids running around. This also might be due to their midday closing. If you want to go to an all you can eat place that has better option, don't go here. There are no soup option, sashimi is not included in the menu. Or you can have sashimi but the price will jump from $23-$35 if you want sashimi. Some orders are gonna be forgotten. We got annoyed, asked for the bill and server asked us to finish food or we'll get charged for it. First sushi place I've tried here in Arizona. The food was great. Sushi was fresh and tasty. We ordered our son chicken teriyaki combo. Chicken was excellent and so was the sauce! I really appreciated that they served the sauce on the side for our son since he just likes plain chicken. Reasons why four stars and not five are: 1: Didn't allow us to order teriyaki chicken ( plain chicken) for our son in the kids menu. Had to spend $9 for his meal which feeds 2-3 people. ( Yes I know that's a great price but it's way too much food for a child). They only offered sweet and sour chicken, shrimp, or noodles. Wish they had a little more options for kids. 2: Although the food was great, I wasn't very impressed with the shrimp. I'm not sure if it was just me but, it felt rubbery. Wow. I read the reviews and wanted to try a good all you can eat AYCE sushi place while in town and picked Orient Sushi & Grill. I ate at another sushi restaurant yesterday and was quite disappointed. The restaurant interior is nice, not overly fancy. Nice and clean. I sat by the front windows which I didn't love since the sun was shining on my table. It was winter and during the summer this wouldn't be an issue because of the location of the sun. The first thing I noticed about their menu is it is not just sushi. They had classic Chinese American dishes as well. The AYCE menu had not only sushi, but some appetizers and some of the non-sushi dishes. I started the meal off with some fried squid and crab wontons. The squid I didn't much care for, but the crab wontons were awesome. I could have just order the wontons for my entire meal. I tried 4 different rolls. They were huge! Usually I expect smaller rolls with lots of rice, but that was not the case here. They had just the right amount of rice and tons of filling and toppers. One of the rolls was called the Dynamite Scallop roll. It was a California fill with baked scallops on top. These weren't little tiny scallops either. They were dollar coin size scallop pieces. It was great. The service was wondeful. They refilled my drinks and check on me often. If I was to offer any type.of critcism it would be about their eel sauce. Great food. But very poor service. We were seated before a group of 4 and for about 10 minutes we weren't greeted or asked what we wanted to drink. But saw that the waitress was helping the group that came after us. Another waitress came by and placed menus on the table and didn't notify us anything about the menu. It was our first time so it would have been nice to see what kinds of specials or top sushi's were popular. A couple times we had to ask for refills, condiments, etc. All in all this place had rude customer service! Very uncomfortable when wanting to order. I wanted to have an enjoyable dinner being that I leave back to Las Vegas. Will never come here again. I received a flyer in my mail of this place. It looked good for the price and after doing further research and looking at the reviews thought I'd give it a shot. Came with my friends on my birthday, we were seated at 6:45pm and our food was served at 7:45pm. Of course everyone got their food and saved best for last "Me" I can't describe how frustrated I was with the wait. Most sushi places are quick, fast, and on the mark of serving sushi. Pfff! Not this place. Top it off, the server took my boxed edamame I came back into the restaurant to ask for my edamame and the server was going back and forth saying he didn't take it I asked for another batch. This place has PENNY BEERS, say whatttt! Fresh sushi and tasted authentic. The garlic-something edamame was also a great choice. A friend ordered the orange chicken which was saucy and crispy, pure orange chicken heaven. The waitress was nice and attentive. We also had a special request to exclude cucumber from a few of the rolls due to a food allergy (I know, who is allergic to cucumber, right) but this was not a problem and the kitchen easily accommodated. Went with some friends for some sushi on a Thursday night, and I have to say I don't know who lost on money here, me or the place, we all had the all you can eat and had quite a bit of sushi and rolls and normally that would have been more than 20 bucks for me. And if you're thinking you are limited to the types of rolls or sushi you can have for the all you can eat, I can tell you safely they have so much for you to try, that you won't be able to, and if you're not into sushi or the rolls they have other dishes to have to instead on the all you can eat. A sushi place that delivers!!!! What!!??? I got one of their flyers in the mail and saw that they delivered so I figured I'd try it out. I've never heard of a sushi place that delivers before. I ordered the philly roll and the chandler roll. The chandler roll comes with crab meat, avocado, topped with baked salmon. My boyfriend ordered their chicken Katsu since he doesn't eat sushi. For $9 it's actually a very big portion. He had plenty of leftovers for the next day and it was actually pretty tasty. I think the sushi is pretty decent here and reasonably priced. I've never wanted to stop eating sushi because the fish tasted weird. I've never ever had that happen until I ate from this place. I picked up food to go and within maybe an hour after eating some of my sushi, sorry to say this but i had serious stomach issues and had to use the bathroom several times if you know what I mean. On the other hand when my boyfriend had gotten home to eat his portion in which I wish to god I would have said you know this sushi tasted off and kind of threw my stomach threw a loop I thought his stomach would be stronger. God was I wrong and I felt so miserable for the next 4 days because he was having throwing up and having diarrhea for a whole day and the diarrhea for the next few days following. When we get sick from places it makes me never want to step through their doors ever again. And it is severely unfortunate that the two places him and I have gotten this type of reaction is from sushi places in Arizona. We did the all you can eat sushi The lettuce wraps are lacking flavor and greasy. The crap wonton are hard and taste stale. The calamari is OK. Still not very good and was not hot. The miso soup taste like a can make it from a powder packet from the store. We had 1 rainbow roll ( mussy and warm ) 1 salmon and avocado ( Mussy and warm I also spit out a seed of some kind while eating a piece of this one ) And 1 crunch roll which was just disgusting and I only ate 1 piece . This is an honest review and I really dont understand why they were so busy when we were there. Their sushi and apps that we had were horrible and made us feel very sick after we were done. It's been a while since I've been here, so I thought I'll try out the All You Can Eat Sashimi. It was busy upon arrival, but the two of us were sat down quickly. We were quick to order AYCE, mainly sashimi, thinking that it shouldn't take long to be brought out, since they had 2-3 chefs at the sushi bar. They dragged out my service, bringing out very few pieces of fish at a time, while others, that arrived after us, were served on numerous occasions with rolls and sashimi. It was highly frustrating to try to gain the servers attention since they practically avoided looking at my table. When it was an hour before closing and it was less busy, but the same close to nonexistent service. They cut us off for only being there for an hour without our appetites filled. Went the second time within a week, since a friend suggested it. It wasn't busy at all, so I thought that maybe it'll be better if I order AYCE Sushi, just nigiri. My friends ordered the Sashimi Regular, both of them got their entrees quickly, while I didn't get served. I've waited until my friends were finished with their entrees, that I got the attention of the waiter to have my order cancelled. They tried to see if I could order something different or say that they could try to rush it out and had an excuse that there was 1 chef, but I can clearly see that there was another chef up there. I ordered the Regular Sushi entree, while my family ordered the Pad Thai, Bonzai Noodles with Udon noodles, and some of us got the full on buffet. Overall, my sushi came with 2 Tuna, 2 Salmon, 1 Yellow Tail, 1 Shrimp, 1 Eel, and set of California Rolls. I'm not a sushi snob, but overall I found it fairly fresh to the bite and perfectly plated. I also ordered a side of Tempura Vegetables, which I thought was a lot, but boy did I scarf it down; love the crunch of tempura! I think my favorite taste of the table had to be my sisters Bonzai Noodles. Strong spicy broth that I thought would have been great if she ordered Ramen Noodles with it. The portion was enough for my honey and me, the prices were pretty good, but I wasn't really impressed with their sushi. I'm not sure what it was, to me it didn't taste fresh and satisfy my sushi craving. The fish was good in the sense that there was no smell, but it just wasn't the best tasting. We came for lunch on a Saturday. We were the only people in the place through the whole meal. It is in a strip mall and the ambiance feels like a fast food place. I ordered the sushi combo B. I got a California roll and a spicy tuna roll for about $7.00. this came with a salad and pretty good hot and sour soup. The sushi was fresh and very good, nothing exceptional. I've eaten a lot of sushi in the valley, but nothing compares to the quality and quanity that I get at Orient Sushi and Grill. Chefs Allen and John make sure the fish is the freshest available. They serve generous portions and you just can't beat the All-You-Can-Eat for $19.95. Whenever friends visit from out of town, this is the first place I take them to. Their comments are always the same " This is the best sushi I have ever eaten". Been here like 100x in the last 4-5 years and somehow havent reviewed. Delicious and reasonably priced. I'm very skeptical of reviews saying they got sick - has never happened to me. Food quality is like a solid 8-9/10. Environment is more like a 2-3, laid back, cheap decor and occasionally noisy. Can't beat it for the price.
