The sushi here is extremely fresh and delicious. I recommend the spice edamame-it is flavorful but not too hot. Their rolls (spicy tuna and crunch rolls) are delicious. Service is prompt and pleasant and the price point is decent. We have been here a few times now and it has been consistently delicious. The teriyaki chicken is also excellent. We recently checked out Nozomi for our sushi night. The only sashimi we had was tuna and it was excellent in quality, temperature and cut. My only regret is that I didn't get some other cuts too. The rolls we sampled were very good (Nozomi special, yellowtail jalapeño). The only one I didn't care for was the Hawaiian roll. Even with the ponzu sauce, it was a bit dry and bland. As simple as edamame is, too many times I've had it over cooked. Not the case here. I'm looking forward to returning so I can try the ramen and other sashimi. This was our first time at Nozomi Sushi House. We decided to sit at the bar. You sit down low so you're unable to see them create their dishes. I'm okay with that as it seems better not to be over everyone's dishes getting made. The price was a few $$ more than our regular restaurant we go to, but everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. The decor and vibes are awesome! Such a cool modern casual place. Loved the soundtrack playing- acoustic/instrumental pop songs slowed down. Service was great- everyone was very kind! The food was good- crispy rice with spicy tuna was a favorite. The nozomi special roll needed more spice but the presentation was cool. The restaurant has a very nice and simple decor. The sushi bar always looks inviting however we end up at a table. One day I will sit at the bar. It was Friday and fairly crowded. There was one waitress and 2 sushi guys. They did get some help bringing out food. No one cleared our plates when we were finished. We did wait awhile but being short handed they were doing as best they could getting orders out to the tables. The sushi is very good and seemed fresh at least for the price. Tucked into a strip mall off Alma School and Chandler Heights, but worth giving them a shot. Welcomed and seated around lunch time on Saturday and started to look over their menu while our waitress got drinks. Regular menu looks pretty comprehensive (a variety of rolls, sushi, sushimi, bowls, etc), but we opted for their lunch specials. We had both the teriyaki chicken Bento box and the teriyaki beef bento box - the chicken was tasty, but the beef was kinda tough. The bento box has 3 fried dumplings, side salad, California roll and the teriyaki - plenty for lunch. I opted for the 2 sushi rolls (8 piece shrimp tempura & 8 piece crunchy California roll) - again, plenty for lunch. Crunchy cali roll was good and a little better than the shrimp tempura roll; not much shrimp tempura in the roll. The place remained consistently busy while we were there but didn't seem to impact the service. The sushi rolls were good, but just not as big or as flavorful as I've had at other sushi places, but the prices seemed more reasonable. Not stellar nor horrific, we had a decent lunch at Nozomi the other day before heading to our escape room. We were all craving something a little on the lighter side, and the menu stuck out as a nice place to grab a bite. Nozomi was completely empty when we came in around 2pm. The atmosphere was cute, spacious, minimalistic. No complaints. Service was friendly but a bit on the slower side. We split multiple items: Gyoza, Miso Soup, Chicken Fried Rice, and Strawberry Mochi. Our thoughts were that everything was good flavor wise but a bit overpriced for the portion size. Would potentially try again if we were desperate for Japanese food and in the area. read more

Went here on a Friday night and the place was busy--but that didn't stop them from delivering a great experience. There was only one waitress working the entire floor, and she absolutely rocked it! Super attentive, efficient, and friendly despite the rush. The sushi portions were generous and fresh. I appreciated that nothing was overly spicy or drowned in sauce--just clean, balanced flavors that let the fish speak for itself. Definitely coming back! So happy to have this new sushi restaurant in the Sun Lakes area of Chandler! First impression it's very warm and friendly. It's laid out nicely has a very large sushi bar and lots of seating. For lunch I had miso soup, which was great! The next item I had was a side salad that was actually pretty huge! Lots of cucumbers and tomatoes in it with a great dressing! Miso soup was excellent. The rolls were delicious. The tempura was perfect. They don't have any specialty sashimi which is unfortunate. So you have to stick with traditional sashimi. We were so excited for this place to open one mile from our house. The first time we went the food was great and sushi chefs were friendly. Unfortunately our waitress was not attentive at all and sat in the back for long periods of time. Took forever to get drinks refilled or wasabi that we ordered. We dismissed the experience to a bad night. We went back again tonight and we got the same waitress. The experience this time was even worse. We considered leaving but we noticed the other waitress was doing great. The sushi chefs were friendly and the sushi is very good. It's too bad the manager or ownership is not paying attention to the service quality. As a new restaurant open only 5 months, service quality will kill it fast. If we ever go back, we will just sit at the sushi bar and not risk getting the same waitress. read more

Go find your waitress. Same with drinks, wasabi, your check. They will never clear your table either. We went here for lunch today and everything was so good! I had the tonkotsu ramen and I loved it! The staffs are also very nice and accomodating. They even gave us 2 free seared salmon nigiri. The food was very good! Everything was tasty & very fresh. The service, however, was somewhat lacking. The servers were nice, but it seemed they lacked a fair amount of training. We ordered things one at a time, but when we finished each dish, they didn't pick up the plates. We also had to ask for wasabi & ginger, which should be automatically served. Our server wasn't informed very well as far as what she was serving us. I think a lack of training was the biggest issue. We will be back for the excellent sushi & sashimi, & are hopeful the servers will improve. read more

My stepdaughter and I were off today and tried this place on impulse; so glad we did! The décor was tasteful and comfortable. Ceu and the rest of the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Between what we ordered for ourselves and what we brought home for the family, we sampled a great variety from the menu. Every dish was delicious!
