Mikado has become our goto Sushi joint here in Chandler Arizona. It's actually become the only place that I want to go for local sushi. The staff ate super friendly. The sushi is always fresh and tasty. I love this place!

Whatssuppp! This mikado place is delicious ! The prices for happy hour are very fair , for all that you see is what about 69$ after a 20% tip for 2 people. The service was the best I've experienced at almost any other sushi spot. The ladies that were our servers yesterday during happy hour were fantastic! I recommend the Las Vegas roll it some of the best I've ever had. Their salmon x salmon is absolutely fantastic as well. Their takoyaki was absolutely delicious as well. The ambience is very sweet and I had a great time. Their happy hour I believe is from 3-6 pm most days I went on a Saturday .

I was informed by the staff Mikado Sushi offers a daily happy hour from 3pm-6pm. They offer a list of items that are part of the happy hour menu. We dine in on a Friday night and it was a full house! The restaurant is small but they are able to seat a good amount of people. The place was lively and the staff were friendly. We came right before the end of happy hour and were still able to order from it. The service and staff were great and attentive but the sushi was not as good as we would have liked it to be. It was the flavor and texture. We ordered the following rolls and appetizer at happy hour price: Shrimp Tempura Roll $6.25 (Recommend this roll) Spicy Salmon Roll $5.95 (The flavor profile was missing) Las Vegas Roll $10.95 (The outside layer to too thick) Volcano Roll 12.95 (The flavor profile was missing) Spicy Edamame $4.95 (Not spicy at all but it was sweet) My goal is to provide this review as a constructive feedback for the menu because the staff and customer turnout is on point.

Miso soup 8/10. Good flavor, could use a little more tofu. The rolls were amazing. Super yummy, great flavors, very fresh. Service was good. Friendly and quick. Definitely will be back!!!!!

WOW! This place hit every mark. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here often. I came with two girlfriends by recommendation from one who lives down the street. Parking was ample as the restaurant is situated inside of a strip mall. As soon as we walked in, we were cheerily greeted by an older Asian woman who let us pick our table. Everyone working appeared to be Asian, which is typically a sign of great things to come. And it was. Every single thing we ordered was delicious and something I would come back and have again. Everything pictured was also on happy hour, except the hamachi x hamachi roll (which was my personal favorite and totally worth paying full price for). Our bill for everything was around $105 before tip. When you order the spicy jalapeño poppers on happy hour, note that the meat that comes inside of them is chef's choice between imitation crab, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, or spicy yellowtail. Also note that the menu says the happy hour portion comes with only three pieces while the regular menu says it comes with eight, but happy hour is really six pieces (three full poppers cut in half) so it's a great deal. That one confused our group a lot, so I figured this information was helpful to share. The inside of the restaurant is quaint and inviting. In my experience, the best sushi/Asian restaurants are often the least fancy.

Added to the list of my favorite sushi restaurants when I dont want to drive far. Previously, I'd dismiss this place because the food was blah. But recently, thanks to instagram influencers, I rediscovered this gem. I like to try their special fish which are always delicious. My kids like to try different cooked items as well. The ramen does not disappoint. Depending on the nights, service can be slow. We like to sit at the bar so the service has not been too bad.

She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

When it first opened, the sushi was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, with each name change, the quality seems to have slipped a little. The food is still good, but it's not what it used to be. There were also several service issues during our most recent visit. After our table was cleared, we waited over 30 minutes just to get our check. We also had to ask three separate times before we finally received wasabi. A couple of menu issues stood out as well. The surf and turf roll had a sweet sauce on it that wasn't mentioned on the menu, which was unexpected. We also requested eel sauce on only half of one sushi roll, but it was put on the entire roll instead. The restaurant is clean, has a nice atmosphere, and the staff was friendly, which is why I'm giving it three stars instead of less. I genuinely want this place to succeed because I remember how great it was when it first opened. I'm hoping they can improve the consistency, pay closer attention to special requests, and get back to the quality that made this one of my favorite sushi spots.

I ordered a few basic and "safe" (but would consider as staple) dishes to test out this place: tempura, spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll, and chicken Yakisoba. Overall, yes, they all hit the standard. They are all good, but not great. Honestly, it will become the go-to 4th place and I would go back if my top 3 are all not available/long wait/close for the day.
